A wellness centre features a hot tub, Infrared sauna and fully equipped yoga studio (also ideal for art studio, workshop, storage); while a garage/workshop offers space for two cars and workbenches for repairs and creativity. Three fully-furnished bedrooms feature fireplaces, and luxury linens, with en-suite bathrooms and heated floors. The fourth bedroom with private bathroom is an ideal friends and family room.

Cooks will love the professionally designed and fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, multiple skylights, and plentiful storage. The spacious laundry room with washer, drier, and storage closets makes doing the laundry a breeze. There is a built-in vacuum system throughout the B&B.

Bathroom Dining room

Eco initiatives: we have made it a goal to keep a small footprint for Hedgerow House, and to that end have installed solar hot water, which provides all our hot water throughout the summer and much of the spring and fall. We have devised a water catchment system to maximize our water saving and storage capacity for irrigation, and have a well to supplement our garden watering needs.

We installed an electric car charger to make it easy for EV owners to charge up their vehicles while they sleep. A number of other green initiatives include a herb garden, raised beds for growing our own vegetables, a washing-line for line-drying all our laundry.

The one-bedroom cottage, located on the same property, provides owners with privacy and their own space. The cottage has its own car parking, lawns, patio, vegetables beds and fruit bushes. A modern bathroom, kitchen and spacious living-room with ample windows and sky lights make this space a comfortable home, quite separate from the B&B.

The garden The spa

Location: Salt Spring Island is the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands, with ferry and floatplane service from Vancouver and Victoria. There is a wide variety of shops and restaurants on the island to serve the 10,000 residents and you can find most things you need for day to day requirements.

Visitors love the Saturday market, the beautiful mountain hikes, Ruckle Provincial Park for its forest paths and historical buildings, and the many coves and beaches, as well as lakes for swimming in summer. We are well-served with restaurants, cafes and pubs as well as farms selling organic produce.

One of the prime benefits of Hedgerow House is its proximity to Ganges, and all the amenities that the village has to offer. Guests are thrilled to be able to walk to town, leaving their vehicle behind, and indeed many guests arrive on foot or by bike, complementing our green initiatives.
