How To Setup
Lets setup your primary computer to retrieve your email with outlook express.
Step 1
Open OUTLOOK EXPRESS on your computer. If a setup wizard does not pop up and ask you for information, then we are ready to move on to the next step. If a setup wizard does open and asks you for information, like your name, then move on to step 5.
Step 2
Select Tools from the primary menu

Step 3
Now select Accounts from this drop down menu

Step 4
A new window will pop up. In this window you should see email accounts you already have, or that are automatically setup by microsoft. If you did not setup any email accounts and you are sure no one else uses outlook to check there mail on this computer.
Click the Add button and select Mail from the drop down menu.

Step 5
You should now see the email setup wizard (or Internet Connection Wizard). In the Display name box you may enter your name or the name that you would like displayed when a person receives an email from you.

Step 6
Next enter your new email address for this account.

Step 7
Now we are going to add in our email server information for our outgoing and incoming emails. In other words we can have different computers handling email when we send or receive.
· In the Incoming Mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: enter the BBCanada mail server as shown below.
· In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: Enter the name of the server that your Internet Service Provider uses. If you are not sure of the name of the server, please contact your Internet Service Provider.

Step 8
In the next box, we are going to put the account number provided by BBCanada and the password provided (Usually the same as BBDUG) and check the Remember password box. This way we do not have to keep putting in our username and password every time we check our mail.

Step 9
We are now finished setting up our email, now click finish. And move on to the next step.

Step 10
Now lets see if it works, click Send/Recv and make sure we have no errors, if you get errors, just start back at step 1.

Step 12
Simply verify if the option of Send and receive messages at startup is checked. Usually this is the option by default. To access this option, click on Tools and the choose Options and select the General tab.
