J.D. Robbins

President and Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

J.D. and Doug White started BBCanada in August 1994 and has grown it to become one of the largest travel websites in Canada.

J.D. is a software developer with over 35 years of experience. He has created numerous internet technologies for large dot-com companies as well as many non profit organizations. He developed "BBDUG" technology that allows B&B owners to update their pages in real time. Originally launched in 1997, BBDUG has become a popular tool for Bed and Breakfast owners across Canada.


Patrick J. Power


Patrick is a senior finance and technology executive with 30 years of experience founding and/or participating in the start-up teams of a number of successful companies. He holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario.

Patrick has participated in the startup teams of several successful high technology companies including Xicom Technologies Corporation (Co-founder), Corel Systems Corporation (member of founding team), Newbridge Networks Corporation (member of founding team) and Nuvo Network Management Inc. (Founder). His operational experience has included specific responsibility for product management, research and development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, strategic planning and financing.

Patrick is currently President of James Edward Capital Corporation, an Ottawa-based boutique investment bank ( As Chairman of BBCanada, Patrick's focus is strategic business and corporate development.


Lisa Le Chatton

Director of Sales and Marketing

Lisa joined in early 2014. She was fortunate to complete her studies abroad in Germany and France before graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts. She then acquired a Public Relations Certificate from Ryerson Polytechnical University. Lisa has worked for many years in hospitality and tourism sales and publishing which has allowed her the opportunity to reside and work in many fascinating cities such as Boca Raton, New York, Quebec, Scottsdale, and Shanghai. Lisa is very pleased to be part of a team that supports a unique niche of Canadian hospitality, the Bed and Breakfast Owners and Operators, at Lisa is responsible for membership sales, B&B Associations, advertising and marketing our industry and our website to the community at large.

Denise Lucken

Web and Graphic Designer

Denise joined BBCanada in September 2008 as a Bilingual Information Officer. In 2010 Denise completed the Mohawk College Web Designer program and has become our in-house full-time Web Designer.

Denise has had a varied background ranging from Law & Security, switchboard operator, office administration to producing a video magazine, and more recently spending 20 years as a Graphic Designer. Therefore, Denise is able to prepare very well thought out and visually pleasing websites. She's also responsible for creating all the magnificent design work for Her works can be found in numerous magazines, airport ads, transit system ads and many online advertisements.

As well, Denise is responsible for pulling together the For Sales ads on BBCanada. She will work with you directly or through your Real Estate Agent if you would like to sell your Bed and Breakfast.

Agnès Blondel


Agnès joined BBCanada in 2011 and translates clients' descriptive text on their listings and various documents for the website and newsletters. She is francophone and has worked in the private and public sector for many years translating.

Her goal is to ensure that travelers who come to our site can search to find that perfect B&B in both of Canada's official languages.
