Host Paul was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. He and his wife, Cathy, made us feel right at home. Aside from the very comfortable room, they provided a most delicious breakfast. It's a shame we had to leave their scenic retreat.

By the way, if you're a hockey fan, Paul is more than happy to talk about his great collection of reproduction NHL goalie masks.

I was also very impressed at how thoughtful Paul and Cathy are. Returning three weeks after our visit, he still remembered my name and set aside an item I had accidentally left behind not knowing who left it.

My wife, daughter and I will definitely be back. Thanks, Paul and Cathy.

We had a terrific stay Aug 18 2018. The hospitality is wonderful and the accommodations extremely comfortable. Cathy and Paul are great hosts. We would recommend the bed and breakfast to anyone who needs to get away and just relax.

My boyfriend Shawn and I just stayed Saturday night Aug 22/2015 with Paul and Cathy. It was a beautiful experience. We didn't get in early so we just had a nice chat with Paul and Cathy before bed. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast they served was very healthy and satisfying with the introduction to the other guests and talk around the breakfast bar very entertaining. We then proceeded to do a beautiful kayak around Lake Joseph which was breathtaking. We never felt rushed ever and they we extremely inviting. I would recommend this B&B to all my family and friends. They also have a bunch of cottages directly on the lake that look lovely to stay in. Thank you Cathy and Paul for making the end of our 10 day vacation so wonderful.

The Birches is a wonderful place to stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed a night at the Birches Bed & Breakfast, and do not have one negative thing to say. We had a lovely time from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out.

Paul and Cathy were very warm and kind from the moment we arrived there early in the morning. Paul showed us the boat and made sure we were comfortable and ready before letting us get on our way.

We had a great time out on the boat, as it was a beautiful sunny day, and very tranquil on the water. We caught sun fish as well as rock bass, but did not go very far out into the lake.

We went out for a nice dinner to Bass Lake House- just about a ten minute drive- and it was nice. Lots of people, good music, good food, and very friendly staff.

An awesome treat that we really liked at the Birches, was the HUGE selection of games that were available (everyone you can think of)- and we definetely made use of a few of them.

Breakfast the next morning was just lovely. Paul and Cathy made all of us guests feel like a part of the family. There was a great variety of food, and Cathy's homemade bread was delicious!

My boyfriend and I were very pleased with our stay at the Birches, and would love to go back in the near future.

Thanks again to Paul, Cathy, and their daughters, for a wonderful experience!

Love, Marcel & Laura.
