dot A Valley View B&B
We LOVED this place. Such a wonderful setting with carefully marked walking trails, a FULLY stocked kitchen, peaceful, quiet, tranquil. I can not say enough good things about A Valley View. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I have been renting vacation homes for years, because we like to settle in rather than living out of a suitcase, and we love the flexibility of having a kitchen. When we only have a night or two in a location, we go the B&B route. But A Valley View B&B gives us the best of both worlds! Probably the homiest place we've ever stayed in -- every room is comfortable in just the right way -- with plenty of space for our things without feeling at all cramped. The bird feeders are right outside the dining area's windows. We saw at least 8 different birds, and the black squirrels are gorgeous. As are the gardens -- beautifully kept English style gardens, and everything seemed to be in bloom. Plenty of room to go walking for relaxation or exercise, and the "gravity" lawn chairs made sitting in the garden an experience we didn't want to end! Jacqui stocks the refrigerator with everything imaginable for a delicious breakfast, which we've decided is the perfect way to run a B&B! We can eat when we want, which means we can sleep late or get started on our day's activities at dawn. I spent my days in Stratford at the Shakespeare Festival, doing the tours and Forum events in the mornings and the matinees in the afternoon, and then came back to enjoy the countryside till dark. Her property is so expansive with only the very occasional car passing that sitting in the garden is utterly serene, with only the water in her garden fountain and the occasional bird song breaking the silence. Definitely, on all levels, the best value in the area. We won't come back to Stratford unless we can stay at Valley View again!

A Hidden Gem. This is a littleiece of heaven situated conviently for Stratford St Mary's and London. you are made welcome from the minute you arrive to the moment you leave. It is a unique concept of B&B with a kitchen full of necessary provisions for you to be able to cater for yourself - this allows you complete independence. as you are the only guests you have complete privacy with Jaqui the owner on hand if required. This accommodation is in a completely rural setting with the advantage of being only s short drive to Stratford for the Festival season

This was an absolutely perfect winter's retreat for my wife and I, who were looking for a place to decompress and get away after a hectic holiday season. A quiet, very private suite with everything we needed (full kitchen, food, living room, bedroom, bath, etc), from we which we never needed to venture - except for a lovely winter's walk through the snow across the fields and into the woods by the creek, with not a soul in sight. Completely wonderful. Thanks so much for such a great getaway.

June 27, 28, 2009. Thank you so very much for the wonderful vacation. You have a beautiful piece of property and beautifully maintained. You are both wonderful & enjoyable people to visit with. God Bless, Steve & Judy, Niagara, Ontario.

July 2-4, 2009. Felix and Jacquie. Thank you for another wonderful stay @ Valley View. This time we managed one of the trails down the valley. Next time we'll see the rapids (we didn't take the map!) The food was perfect - as always - and the accommodation complete. Thanks for the wild life show outside of our window and the cool weather. Tom & JoAnne, Michigan, U.S.A.

May 28, 29, 30. 2009 Another wonderful restful stay with you! The flowers and birds are a delight. Despite the rain we enjoyed our time here. Look forward to seeing you again next year when we return to the Stratford Festival. Best regards, John and Edna. Michigan, U.S.A.

22-29/07 We were so comfortable that we didn't really want to leave to see anything. Would have been content to sit and watch the birds! Thanks for your hospitality. Barry & Mary, Victoria, B.C.

July 15, 2007 Although we are locals we were still able to enjoy this fantastic establishment. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness during this very special time in our lives. Thank you soo much. Newlyweds, Brian & Emelie.

Aug. 4 2007 What a treat! Surrounded by wonderful nature, flowers, eating breakfast while watching the birds and squirrels eat theirs, the hikes and the very educational art lesson - we couldn't have asked for more. Thank you so much for your hospitality and warmth.Tina & Norman, Montreal, Que.

Oct 11-13/08 Thanksgiving! Once again, a special few days were spent here in your peaceful surrounding, along with all the comforts of home! The food selection you provided was truly "bountiful"! We could not have asked for more! Thank you so very much Jacqui & Felix for the wonderful anniversary surprise waiting for us upon our arrival! That was so very thoughtful and truly appreciated! We had a wonderful time, and thank you both for helping to make our anniversary & Thanksgiving weekend a special one! See you again, with warm regards, Pat & Ralph.

October 28-30/05 What a wonderful respite! Your accommodations are perfect offering privacy, a peaceful setting and panoramic views.....we enjoyed watching a variety of birds congregate at the feeder as we dined on and abundance of food you so generously supplied for us! Hiking down to the river was exhilarating (if not arduous for 50-something's!) and taking in some golf and dinner in St. Marys topped off a very pleasant Saturday. Blair enjoyed fly fishing at a nearby mill pond while I basked in the serenity of solitude on a spectacular autumn Sunday morning. Could one ask for more? We think not! We shall return! Thank you so much. Darlene & Blair, LaSalle, Ontario

Well, we recently visited A Valley View for the fourth time. Each time we leave, reluctantly, we vow that we will be back again. Beautiful location, peaceful yet accessible, well stocked kitchen, cosy & comfortable and perfect hosts. I cannot find a negative feature about this B & B. Hence, we will be back again. J & C
