This was a fantastic location for a two-day hike on the Bruce Trail. Cathy and Mark were wonderful hosts - sharing stories, knowledge, and driving us to the starting point for each hike! The breakfast was nutritious and delicious. The B&B is clean, comfortable, and most of all relaxing! My favourite spot was the back deck overlooking the lake.

Mark and Kathy are amazing hosts and the breakfasts were unbelievably delicious. Their hospitality and facilities are second to none. After spending couple of nights in their incredible home they have become two new friends that I will certainly visit again.

Nestling amongst the trees overlooking Colpoy's Bay. We found a wonderful welcome, good food which made an unforgettable stay. Cathy and Mark you made our stay a real pleasure. This B & B is a wonderful Canadian treasure! We can't thank you enough for your hospitality Margaret and Joyce, Scotland

Mark and Kathy offer an immaculate, orderly, aesthetically pleasing modern house with beautiful grounds. Their hospitality is outstanding: we dropped in unannounced to ask if we could look at the place, though we were staying elsewhere. They were very accommodating and friendly, showed us around, and offered excellent advice on sights in the area. Hosting a B&B is obviously a pleasure for them, and it was a pleasure for us to meet them. Staying there must be a real treat.

Fantastic 7 Star B$B, Fantastic Destination. This was my first time at a B&B and we didn't even have a reservation. Mark and Cathy were able to accomodate us and welcomed us warmly into their absolutely BEAUTIFUL home! We were so grateful after a long drive and unsure where to stay. Everything was perfect and impeccable. Most comfortable bed I think I have ever slept in and I really appreciated the luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets and immaculate interior and amenities. We also had a beautiful walk in their woods (their friendly dog showed us the way) to the waterfront and in the nearby trails and forests and we enjoyed stimulating conversation and getting to know them before we retired at night. If there was a tv show called "You Gotta Stay Here!" Island View B&B would be first on the list. Colpoy Bay is a PERFECT destination when visiting the Bruce peninsula, Wiarton or anywhere in Bruce North or South districts. It was so quiet, peaceful and relaxing and if you've ever encountered the crowds in Tobermory, you'll be glad you booked Island View, for your entire stay in the area. We will definitely make it a destination spot for our next holiday. Thank you so much Mark and Cathy. It was such a pleasure staying with you. Breakfast was delicious too. Can't wait to see the new raised gardens particularly the blueberries. Gillian and Karl

My husband and I spent a delightful two days at Island View B&B. Cathy and Mark made us feel right at home, the accommodations are very comfortable and well appointed, the view is spectacular, the food is delicious, and getting to know our hosts was the highlight of our stay. Wiarton is a charming town and the Bruce Trail is just up the street. We will definitely be back.

We stayed two nights at the Island View B&B. Mark and Cathy are two very nice & kind people who made us feel very welcome! It´s a beautiful place to stay. The view over the Bay is very impressive. Great breakfasts, spacious Kingsuite. We enjoyed the conversations at any time of the day, and the most in the evening with a glass of wine. We hope that everyone who is in search for a fantastic B&B in this area will find the way to this B&B. Thank you again, and hope to see you in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed with Mark and Cathy for 3 nights and found everything about the B&B wonderful - the best ever. We arrived as strangers and left as friends having spent most evenings socialising with them. Will certainly visit again and would recommend to anyone - it really was home from home.

Spent only one night at this beautiful B&B and wished we could have stayed longer. The house is decorated beautifully and reminds me of a ski chalet. We felt truly spoiled here with such treates as evening campfire, indoor hot tub, private bathroom and small fridge stocked with pop. Beds were very comfortable and overall the house was very clean, which is no small feat in a house with four cats and a dog (all very very friendly too I might add). In the morning a delicious breakfast was served out on the deck overlooking Colpoys Bay. I can't wait to return to Island View B&B next year. Mark and Cathy were wonderful hosts and went out of their way to make our visit a very special one. Thank you once again!

Had an excellent stay. Breakfast was awesome and Kathy and Mark were great hosts. Will come again the next time we are planning a trip in this area. All the "extra's" were a nice touch(free water/pop/chocolate on our bed) Had a campfire and roasted marshmellows, again a nice added touch. Hottub was nice to end our day. You won't be dissapointed. Great view and located near Sauble Beach which was the reason why we were up in this area.

- Tanya, from Hamilton, Canada 7 September 2009

We really enjoyed our stay here. Kathy and Mark were very welcoming hosts, friendly and easy going. The breakfasts were delicious and the small fridge in our room a very welcome extra. We will definitely stay here again when we are next travelling to the Wiarton area.

A beautiful experience - wonderful hosts, friendly animals (cats and one dog) and every morning a delicious breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and we appreciated the luxury of a fridge for ourselves. When we will be in this region again we know for sure where we are going to stay!!

- Birgitt Siegel, from Gelsenkirchen, Germany 21 December 2008

Wow - We felt so "special" with your Royal Treatment!! What a lovely get-a-way for Den & myself. Hubby was spoiled with all the treats and "EXTRA" servings. Love your extended pet family (we'll be their God parents!!!) You're both absolutely perfect for hosting an "ORIGINAL B&B"

- Joy & Dennis, from Brantford, Ontario 10 November 2008

What a delightful spot to spend a few days. We were hiking parts of the Bruce Trail with friends from Germany,Hamilton and our 10 year-old granddaughter. Staying with Cathy and Mark added an extra dimension to our trip. The delicious breakfasts, relaxing hot tub and comfortable rooms along with Cathy and Mark's hospitality made this a stop we'll be back to. We still have more to do on our 'end-to'end'!

- Patricia and Dennis Baker, from Hamilton, Ontario 21 September 2008

This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast. We had decided to take a motorcycle trip up to the Bruce on the long weekend in August. What a wonderful time. Everything was perfect from the location, accomdations, meals and hosts. We were treated like one of the family. We were even provided a garage for the bikes and supplies to clean them off after a long day of riding. We will be back in the near future. Thanks again for everything.

- Todd and Kathy Leach, from Cambridge, Ontario 3 September 2008

What a wonderful spot! The best B&B my husband and I have stayed in yet (and we have been to many)! The facilities are sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and have a warm, welcoming feel to them. Cathy and Mark are terrific hosts - very quickly you feel more like friends than strangers. No need to worry about breakfast - delicious meals were served along with great coffee! Cathy did cater to individuals with special diets in a discrete way - nice touch. We certainly recommend this B&B to anyone; I know we are looking forward to returning again.

- Wendy and Doug Wilburn, from Toronto, Canada 19 August 2008

This is a great B&B very comfortable beds, great cats and dogs they are very friendly and well behaved. The views from anywhere on the property are beautiful. The breakfasts are very tasty and the hosts are very gracious! I would recommend this B&B to all.
