Great place to stay! My wife and I stayed at Clinton and Bloor B&B for two nights when we visited Toronto. We had a great time!

Albert was an amazing host! Albert was accommodating and flexible to our schedule. He was very kind and gave us very good advice about restaurants, places to visit, and some history of Toronto.

We stayed in the Cathedral suite. It was very big (with a high ceiling) and clean. We loved it. The breakfasts in the morning were good as well.

One of the best parts of the place is the location. We love Korean food, and Clinton and Bloor B&B is located right inside Korea Town, so we took full advantage of that. It is also very close to a subway, so public transportation is easy.

I would highly recommend staying here if you come to visit Toronto.

Great place to stay! Highly recommend Clinton B&B for your stay in west Toronto . Owner is friendly, very accomodating to special requests. And the place is spotlessly clean! Handy location and easy parking. It is a great place to stay and Albert was very helpful with his advice. Thanks!

- Joanna, from Buenos Aires, Argentina 24 October 2018

A welcome place to stay in downtown Toronto Albert is an amazing host and his home is a wonderful place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking is close and easy. Plus you are only a short walk to lots of shops, restaurants and more. I’ll be returning. :)

Excellent B&B in Central Toronto I’ve spent one night at Clinton and Bloor and had a great stay. Albert was a very attentive, organized and accommodating host, the place is very clean and homely, very peaceful, the room was large, very well lit, with a great bed, walk in closet and a very good bathroom. Location is very strategic, very close to the subway and a nice 25 minute walk to the Royal Ontario Museum. Breakfast was also very good, freshly prepared with good variety and quality. All in all, a very pleasant stay and an excellent value in an expensive hotel market like Toronto.

- Stroopw, from Amsterdam, The Netherlands 24 October 2018

Comfortable, friendly, affordable stay I stsyed at this lovely B&B for a course I attended at the university. The location was very convenient for me as the university is in a walking distance. There's a subway/metro station close by, which is great. I had a large room on the top floor and it was very nice and comfortable. The B&B is very clean, the breakfast plenty and homemade, prepared with care. The area is quiet. Albert has been very generous and kind. We had great discussions, too! He made me feel safe in his B&B, which was very thoughtful since I was traveling alone from...quite far. Albert was helpful, with advice about the area, restaurants and taxi arrangements. This was a really nice, warm and friendly stay. I'd gladly return. Many thanks Albert

Clean and comfortable bed Albert's place is very clean and comfortable. We take off our shoes upon entering so the clean looking floor feels extra clean. The bed and cool pillows were surprisingly comfortable as I have back problems. I like the proximity to Little Italy, Korea town, subways and buses. There was a heat wave during my 2 day stay but the place was cool. Breakfast seatings are at 8 and 9 o clock. Albert is friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants and shops outside. I will stay here in the future.

- bxg101g, from Eugene, Oregon 21 July 2018

Great and affordable B&B. Use Expedia to save. Nice location, very clean bedroom as well as the bathroom, very friendly host and sweet simple breakfast. Albert was very helpful. Arranged our Niagara bus tour within minutes. No hassle. Great access to city metro. Walking distance to Little Italy and more. Great city. Cab service at end of metro lines can extend the reach of the very good metro covering all the primary sites.

Great place. I stayed here for three nights just last week. The home is very clean with a very friendly host Albert Tan. The made to order breakfast are great. Within five minutes walking distance here are a plethora of food and coffee shop. I would definetly stay here again.

- George K, from Canterbury, England, UK. 14 July 2018

Very enjoyable two night stay at Clinton and Bloor B&B Our room was beautiful and very fresh. We had our own little deck and a full bathroom. Our room and the overall premises were extremely clean with very tasteful decor. The host Albert was very hospitable and we were served a magnificent, full course, healthy breakfast. Although a bit pricey, I highly recommend this B&B, and I would certainly go back again.

- Lilian S, from Montreal, Canada 11 July 2018

Wonderful retreat We stayed here in June for two nights to escape from heat wave. Albert Tan is most welcoming, friendly and very interesting hosts. Sunset Suite was very comfortable and we had the best sleep as a result of their amazing TEMPUR-Contour Pillow with cooling gel. Christie station two minutes door to door is convenient to public transit and Christie Pit Park provides lots of running and exercise option. We would not hesitate to recommend Clinton and Bloor B&B to anyone looking for a a comfortable and friendly place to stay in this part of Toronto.

A Five Star B & B My husband and I spent five nights at Clinton and Bloor B & B. Two years earlier, we also spent five nights at this property. We love it! It is spotless, comfortable, quiet, and located within walking distance to many wonderful restaurants and bars. Mr. Tan, the host, goes out of his way to accommodate the needs of each of his guests. I highly recommend this facility!

- Gregory P, from Boston, U.S.A. 4 July 2018

Toronto's Best B&B I'll be amazed if there's a better place to stay in Toronto. We were welcomed by the owner Albert with generous hospitality continues until we were on our way back home. This B&B is immaculately furnished and spotlessly clean, and breakfast always features favourites and tasty, beautifully-prepared specials. It is within two minutes walk from Christie subway station, it's an easy ride either downtown or to the airport. It took us 45 minutes to Pearson International Airport with TTC. fare C$3.25. Clinton and Bloor B&B is one of the best - and nicest - places I have ever stayed in, and I have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family.

- allaction, from Tenby U.K. 4 July 2018

Should be #1 in Toronto: For those looking for a great place to stay in Toronto look no further. The host, Albert is the definition of customer service and is a true gentleman and host. The B & B is located in the center of the Korean Town, about one block away from Christie Subway Station. You can walk to the harbour front in about 1 hour. We never used public transport for our one week stay in June, 2018. If you love Korean all the better, top mexican place is also down the end of the street and there is a great pub called "Clinton" on opposite side of Bloor. We tried them all and they are all tops, good food and cheap.

Albert was the best host we have every had the pleasure of experienceing in our B & B travels. Massive bowl of Fresh Fruit every morning, complimentary bottled water which was a godsend for our walks round the city, he was even courteous to provide a hat (to keep) to my wife after she got a little too much sun on the first day.

The rooms are a treat and for all those who are thinking C$250 is a bit steep, its not and it is truly worth it. Albert will go out of his way to provide you with whatever information you need about the area and whatever sights you are thinking of seeing.

This is a dead set find, you will not be dissapointed. Its a credit to Albert and his family for offering such a great place for travellers and providing them with a high standard of hospitality

Thanks Albert you got our Canada Trip off to a winning start

Home Sweet Home! This property is essentially a duplex house where you will get one room, a master bedroom equivalent (I would say it is a king size bed with two people fitting easily- extra sheets are in the walk-in closet if you have guests over to sleep on the floor), with walk in closet and spacious bathroom. What makes this place the best were a factor of two things: Flexibility and Service.

Flexibility was that it was like your own house and you have your space- there aren't people to judge/concierge to avoid if you would like to, to get back to your room. You can come and go as you please as if it is your house. Location is perfect to Koreatown and where I needed to be (a two-day event at Lee's Palace).

Service, as the host, Albert, is awesome. He is welcoming, kind, makes real food for you- has tea/coffee/water/snacks available 24/7 (like your own house :) ) He is there to help if any advice is needed/any problems and is available as needed. He also gives you space so you don't need to worry about unwanted chit-chat/banter from a host.

If I were to go to Toronto again, I would not consider but prefer to stay at Albert's. This was such an awesome experience!

- Lalit D, 3 July 2018

Super sweet B&B, the land lord is passionate about what he´s doing. Only three rooms but equipped with everything you would need for your stay. Situated not in the best neighborhood I would say but a perfect base for a visit to Toronto... Subwaystation is just three minutes walk away and brings you downtown in less than 15 minutes. I would recommend this place, especially the breakfast is superb.

- Matthias, from Germany 2 July 2018

Very nice B and B. Organized, friendly owner. Good b'fast. Totally recommend cozy place.

- Anonymous, from Florida 2 July 2018

Kind B&B Owner My significant other and I had a wonderful time at the B&B. As soon as we entered the home he was welcoming and showed us all of Toronto and what are the means of transportation. He let us do our own thing for the entire day and smiled whenever we saw him. He also made a delicious and healthy breakfast. The rooms were very clean and a nice temperature. It's also right beside a subway station and . I would definitely recommend people to go here!

- Coel, from Woodstock, Ontario 2 July 2018

A lovely stay... We stayed here for one night on our way to Niagara Falls. It was a lovely house and it felt so personal to stay like this. We very much appreciated the breakfast in the morning that was made of the owner of the house. He took care of us like someone he known for a long time. It almost felt like living at home. We can recommend Clinton and Bloor B&B.

- response60, from Stockholm, Sweden 1 July 2018

Great location and host! I stayed two nights at Clinton and Bloor and had a great stay! Albert is such a lovely and helpful host. My luggage didn't arrive at the airport and he was a great help with phone calls and helping me sort it all out. Albert lives in a fantastic neighbourhood and my room was super comfortable. I would recommend Clinton and Bloor to anyone! Albert also provides a fantastic breakfast...Thanks Albert for a great stay...Sarah

Hidden B&B in the heart of Koreatown. Stayed here for three new nights and have no complaints. Koreatown is a nice neighbourhood north of downtown which always felt very safe even late at night with an array of local restaurants of all types. The B&B is part of a newer built row housing that is less than a block from Blair St and just around the corner from Christie Subway station which is perfect for getting around the City. Albert Tan, our host gave us a good overview of the area and locations around Toronto along with popular attractions to see and options to get there. There is a loblaws grocery a few blocks away which is nice to get some food and wine for the room. All in all, a very nice place to stay to see Toronto.

- Canadiantraveller027, from Regina, Canada 1 July 2018

Excellent! The owner was wonderful! Very nice and took time to orient us to Toronto and the nearby area. It is situated in Koreatown close to many authentic restaurants and bars. The B&B is well maintained and has all amenities one could need. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was easy to engage, conversing about his grandkids and background. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

- gigliomark, from Buffalo, New York 1 July 2018

The B&B was located within easy walking distance to the Toronto metro and many restaurants. The host was charming and had great information for seeing the city and for restaurant choices. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

- Jim P, from Denver CO 6 July 2017

Great stay! It was such a pleasant stay. The host was very kind, the rooms were very clean and looked even better than photos. The neighborhood was good too, and it was a plus for me personally that it's in the middle of Korea town. If I have a chance to visit Toronto again, I will check this place first.

- Hyerim C, 3 July 2017

I'll definitely be back Beautiful, clean and quiet ...and a wonderful, warm breakfast made with care. An ideal location close to great restaurants and a lovely park. There is great energy in this home. Staying at this B&B might itself be enough of a reason to visit Toronto!

- Gnie2017, from London, Ontario 30 June 2017

Good B&B for both a business trip and sightseeing

- Anonymous, 21 June 2017

The place is homey, clean & the bedroom tastefully decorated. The room had all the amenities & a little fridge. The host was very friendly & fixed a lovely breakfast in the morning. I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast !

- Susan P., from Alexandria, Louisiana U.S.A 4 June 2017

I did not read the reviews before booking this B&B. It is nice and clean B&B. My Canadian cousin told me it's a good neighborhood. We stayed in Cathedral Suite on 3rd floor. It was huge with high Cathedral Ceiling. My cousins had Sunrise Suite on 2nd floor. All very clean and well equipped. The location is great. We can walk to a fruit market, coffee shop, ice cream shop, convenience store, pub or restaurant or Christie Pit Park and just a short walk to the Christie Subway Station. We will stay here again when we come back to Toronto.

- Mitch C., from London, UK 3 June 2017

This is a professionally run B&B. The best part is the ease of getting there from Toronto airport. Albert will email you all the details and you will find the place very easily. From the airport take the TTC #192 bus (you need $3.25 exact fare) which takes you to Kipling Station from where you catch the train to Christie train station. The B&B is just around the corner from there. Note the $3.25 takes you all the way to Christie no extra cost. Total travel time less than 1 hour. Our room was clean and very well appointed, bathroom small - shower over the bath. Breakfast is downstairs, and fruit/yoghurt is provided and A choice of 5 hot meals are offered which are freshly made but accompanied with toast. You can easily walk to many Korean or Italian restaurants. You can walk to the city but allow at least 45 minutes at a fast pace. No shoes on in the house which for my mind is quite OK.

- Gee, from Main Beach, Australia 31 May 2017

Located in a relatively upscale area on the edge of Korea Town, this is very nice, well-maintained townhouse and a convenient place to stay, located just 100 yards or so from a subway stop. Due to Toronto's great public transportation system, you can get practically anywhere (except the distillery) from here in just a few minutes. The host Mr Tan is a delightful, congenial and helpful person who will personalize your experience if you encourage him to talk (which we did!). He will go the extra mile to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. For example, because the local parking lot (just a few feet from the B&B) was full. He let us use the garage.

- John, from Baltimore, Maryland 30 May 2017

Stayed 3 nights. The B&B is well-located for visiting the University, There are many restaurants, coffee shops and bookshops on Bloor Street. It is close to Christie subway station links to the rest of Toronto. Sunset Suite was very clean and comfortable, Great breakfast with fresh fruits and choice of hot meal made yo order. I was able to advantage of the free Wi-Fi internet access. Highly recommended as a home from home in the city. I would definitely stay again.

- Tzasuki, 29 May 2017

- Anonymous, from Hong Kong SAR China 28 May 2017

Our first stay in September 2016 and second during the Victoria day long weekend. All we have to say is this is the best B&B we have stayed in. The location to Christie subway station is great and convenient. We stayed both times in Cathedral Suite. The room is very clean, comfortable and accommodating. The home is very secure and quiet. Mr. Tan is wonderful host. He accommodated our changes with check in and check out dates and made us feel very welcomed. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Toronto. No disappointments what so ever!!

- Patricia Smith, from Royal Oak, MI 28 May 2017

We loved everything about this B&B from the moment we checked in until departure. Our 3rd floor Cathedral Suite is huge and perfect. It's perfect for business traveler.

- Ingrid, from Ann Arbor, MI 27 May 2017

This is surely one of the best B&Bs we've every stayed in. In every imaginable category - cleanliness, peace & quiet, convenience, service, price - the place can simply not be better - up to, and including the excellent, freshly prepared upon your request breakfast (you have 5 choices, as I recall). Mr Tan, the owner and innkeeper, serving with passion is the very heart & soul of good cheer, as well is also a wealth of knowledge about the city of Toronto. The B&B is in a executive townhouse on a quiet residential street about a block from the Bloor / Christe subway station, and a 10-15 minute subway ride to the center of the city. It is also within easy walking distance of many, many restaurants of every imaginable type on Bloor St W, as well as to many other types of shops: grocers, druggists, nail salons, convenience stores, cafes, etc, etc. The rooms are large and spotless and sunny. The bathrooms are of ample size too. From what we could tell, any room would be a fine choice. When in Toronto again we will be sure to book a room to stay here. Booking well ahead is necessary as there are only 3 rooms with private en- suite bathroom.

- Bob and Nadine, from Forest Hill, New York 26 May 2017

The morning after our wedding, we drove directly to Toronto to start our honeymoon. We expected the Sunrise Suite, but Albert upgraded us to the Cathedral Suite. What a room, it was very clean, spacious and had a balcony overlooking a well kept courtyard. Albert was a charming intelligent and helpful host. He served a fantastic and healthy breakfast to us Sunday morning. We enjoyed our meal with some other guests from Japan. He showed us around the neighborhood after breakfast, and took us to the Royal Ontario Museum as his guests. Along the way, he told us a tremendous amount of information about the local culture, restaurants and politics. He showed us all the best places to get organic fruit and vegetables. It was a fantastic walk. The museum was incredible as well. When we had breakfast Monday, it was equally good. Our fellow guests were from Australia. For such a quaint little B&B Albert has a very international clientele. He deserves it. We checked out that morning, sad to leave for other adventures. We hope to go back next year and stay with Albert again. He is a fantastic host. This is probably the best B&B I have ever stayed at. Brittany and I loved it and will go back soon.

- Nightrainfalls, from Sodus, New York 25 May 2017

I very much enjoyed staying at Albert's B&B. The place is clean, tidy and quiet. It is in a great location for Toronto restaurants and sightseeing. Albert makes great breakfasts and he is lovely to chat with!

My parents stayed here while they were visiting me. When we met up each morning, they'd rave about how comfortable the rooms were, and they'd share all the Toronto trivia/tourism advice that the owner had told them over breakfast. I learned so much while they were staying in At this B&B I can't wait for them to come back so I can find out more about my own city!

- Emcclure, 22 May 2017

Overall it is Excellent stay while in Toronto. Very friendly host, comfortable clean room. WIFI was excellent. Host was very helpful to explain how to get to my final destination. Pleasant breakfast with good conversation. Overall an excellent experience. Wish all B&B were as good!

Highly Recommended.

We made our reservation by the Clinton and Bloor B&B website. It was very easy. We rapidly received the confirmation by e-mail. The e-mail explained all we needed to know about the bed&breakfast and included a detailed list of the nearby activities and commodities. Very helpful. We chose to walk from the Union Station to the bed&breakfast, it took about an hour. The Christie subway station is a few steps away from the B&B. You can also use the tramways and the bus to get there. We lodged in the "Sunrise suite". It's a comfortable bedroom (perfect for a couple) with private washroom. The three windows make the room bright and sunny, with a pleasant outlook on Clinton Street (lovely houses, flowers and trees). The B&B was beautiful, and very clean. It was quiet too. Our hospitable host, Mr. Tan, was pleasant and greeted us with welcoming hot drinks. He was very attentive and thoughtful. The breakfasts are delicious !!

"A short visit to Toronto” We came to Canada for a family visit but wanted to spend a day in Toronto for a visit to the Rom, a great museum, which is within walking distance of Clinton and Bloor B and B. We had a very warm welcome from Mr. Tan and lots of good information about the area. He gave us advice about area restaurants and we chose one serving Korean food which was very good. Our accomadations were spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a choice for food for breakfast with some fresh fruit and something cooked. We were very happy with everything and would recommend this for anyone who wishes to stay in a B and B in Toronto.

What a Gem When I travel on business, I stay at a "corporate" hotel. Four and five stars, typically. Occasionally, for personal travel, we might stay at a B&B. Generally, it's not my first choice.

BUT, for some reason on May 9th, Toronto's hotel inventory was gone. What was left was $900 for a $300 night. Expedia showed Clinton and Bloor B&B. It looked OK and was in the right neighbourhood. So I booked it.

I'm so glad I did. It is a lovely place. Clean, modern, quiet, comfortable, and absolutely everything B&B says in the description. I made the innkeeper work a bit with my floating arrival time. Albert Tan, the proprietor, took it in stride and was most accommodating.

The room was everything you would need when your interest is in a safe, clean, comfortable place to rest your head. The linens were new, the television just right, climate control to keep you just right... I had a great night's sleep. (My guess is that when you book take the name of the room to heart: the "sunrise suite" is absolutely for morning people on a sunny day ;) ...)

In the morning, probably because of my odd timing, I had the chance to sit and chat with Albert about nothing and everything. He is a delightful and charming host that made more time than I wanted to spend over breakfast pass too fast.

Suffice to say that I unreservedly recommend the Clinton and Bloor B&B. It's not the Westin. But then again, the Westin isn't the Clinton and Bloor B&B.

“Cozy rooms and considerate owner?”

My daughter and I had a good time at suite room with a relaxing atmosphere. Owner,Mr.Tan cooked us tasty breakfast and made a friendly conversation. There were a lot of graceful pictures on the wall like a museum and all floors were clean. I recommend everyone to visit and stay at CLINTON and BLOOR B&B.

This B & B is a treat. Stimulating conversation over breakfast with other guests and the proprietor is part of the experience.

- Katherine, 9 May 2017

Outstanding and Perfectly placed for our party! We are very thankful for Mr. Tan's gracious hospitality. We loved those interesting 'over breakfast' conversations. The location of the B&B was awesomely close to the venue for the event we had come to celebrate. All in all, it was a great weekend. Thank you, Mr. Tan.

“Toronto stay”

Once again we stayed with Mr. Tan, he is a wonderful host. The breakfasts are yummy, the rooms are clean. He is always helpful by providing fun things to do and the best way to get there. The house is close to the subway, which is easy to figure out. You can buy a pass for the length of your stay, which allows you to ride all public transit. I love Toronto, it is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the world. It is also a clean place, with hardly any litter.

“Quiet, clean, relaxing, uneventful” Reviewed May 6, 2017 NEWvia mobile Having stayed at many Toronto high end hotels, I was pleasantly impressed with my stay at this B&B. It was like staying at a good friends or relatives residence for a visit. Albeet is a great accomadating host. I had a chance to explore the area and found local restaurants and coffee shops that are better than highly rated downtown business. Interesting friendly people and good food stand out in this neighborhood. The TTC subway is very close but the walk is more interesting. The Royal Ontario Museum, Yonge St. and downtown TO are not far.

“A home away from home!” Reviewed April 30, 2017 Sweet Dream B&B is highly recommended! I am a VERY picky traveler, especially as a single female. I require quit, safe and clean. Sweet Dreams was all of the above. Great location to downtown "T" and the subway. Albert was a wonderful host, he made a delicious breakfast (all included) and had wonderful life advice! His B&B truly feels like home. I would go back on my next trip to Toronto.

Room Tip: I felt like my own room at home.

“Home Sweet Home!” Reviewed May 1, 2017 This property is essentially a duplex house where you will get one room, a master bedroom equivalent (I would say it is a king size bed with two people fitting easily- extra sheets are in the walk-in closet if you have guests over to sleep on the floor), with walk in closet and spacious bathroom.

Room Tip: If you wanna be at the heart of Koreatown/ a 5 min drive (1 km distance) from Kensington Market this...

“Great place to stay”

Stayed twice in April. Albert is a great landlord, caring and pays attention to all the details. Helped by check in for my flights, printed my boarding passes. Offers lots of advise and suggestions on how to get around. This B&B is a home away from home. Stayed in the Cathedral suite. Will definitely stay there again.

“A sweet weekend at Clinton and Bloor B&B!” Reviewed 10 March 2017 My husband and I stayed at Clinton & Bloor B&B for three nights for a weekend getaway. Albert is a friendly and gracious host and we thoroughly enjoyed conversing with him while he served a simple yet tasty breakfast each morning. We had booked one of the smaller rooms; when we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that Albert had upgraded us to the Cathedral Suite. What an amazing space! Light and spacious. Spotlessly clean. The bed was firm and very comfortable with ample pillows and extra blankets provided. The ensuite bathroom was beautiful especially in the morning with the sunlight streaming in the large window. With a walk-in shower, a jacuzzi tub, a large vanity with two sinks, this was an unexpected luxury. The location in Toronto is excellent; we walked to restaurants and enjoyed several local bookstores. We walked to one of our theatre venues in the evening. We plan to return for a future visit to Toronto. Thank you, Albert!

“Lucky me!” Reviewed 10 March 2017 I was to defend my thesis at Univ. of Toronto and i was 8 months pregnant. For my four-night stay, I was ready to invest for anything close and comfy. But the prices of hotels in downtwon around the university were crazy! Then I found this b&b. For half the price, I could get exactly what I want and much more.

It was just ten minutes away by subway to university or I could walk too even though I was heavy, which saved me money. I could get good lunches and dinners from korea town and on bloor much more easily. I enjoyed the immaculately clean pretty abundant home with beautiful paintings.

Albert's class seemed to almost influence the attitudes of the guests. In my stressful four days, I could relax through the great conversations at the breakfast table with other guests. For those who expect a full breakfast, the portion could be small but it was enough for me even as a pregnant woman to get me ready for full meals in local restaurants (and so fresh!). The room was not super warm as in the Korean style and the first day went down to -14 but the extra blanket was enough. The house was a bit vulnerable to noises. I could hear the noises from other rooms and the first floor but again the guests seemed considerate of each other trying to make the least noise.

Right by the main street & subway but just inside a small street, I enjoyed a quiet get-away. I don't think I have ever given a 5, or have written a review for that matter, but this place deserves a 5. So lucky to have found this place!

“Perfect lodgings for females travelling alone” Reviewed 11 March 2017 I'd read the reviews and I was not disappointed. Clinton and Bloor B&B is a welcoming home with a lovely host, Albert, who makes it feel like it's personally tailored to you. I stayed one night at the end of a business trip so I could spend a brief time in the City and also Niagara Falls. Check in was easy, my room and ensuite was clean, spacious, and well equipped. I had a great night's sleep. Albert's breakfasts are fresh and made on the spot, and so relaxed! He also arranged my tour to Niagara Falls on arrival for the following day. Christie Subway Station is right behind the house and it takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Union Station as a starting point for the CN Tower. I was able to leave my luggage after check out while I did my tour. I would highly recommend Clinton & Bloor B&B.

I can highly recommend this B&B although the neigborhood isn´t the nicest....

“Good location, very clean and welcoming B and B”

A Suite Dreams B and B is a very clean and well maintained B and B. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully furnished. Mr. Tan was a very gracious and kind host, and was always responsive to guests' concerns and needs. There are a variety of cheap and delicious restaurants that are less than 5 minutes walk from the B and B; having the subway almost at the doorstep of the B is also a huge plus. I would certainly stay at A Suite dreams B and B again.

“Host is a perfect gentleman”

Mr. Albert Tan is an excellent host and a perfect gentleman. He is very polite and considerate. He guided us as per our budget and was well-informed about the city life. His breakfast was very good and standard. In addition, he took immense care to modify the breakfast as per personal needs.

The rooms are spacious, clean and had privacy. We used the plates in the kitchen and the other kitchen stuff. They were very clean and odorless. Albert was friendly that he even shared a part of his Korean breakfast with us. We were very pleased by his behavior.

Albert has other tours to Toronto that were great. The people picking up on the door very punctual. I think, this Bed and Breakfast and worth the money and everyone should visit this place.

Seeing a perfect score and review for the place on trip advisor we decided to go with this one for our stay in Toronto and the place turned out to be a great choice for the fact that it was perfect in terms of service, rooms and location. “Suite Dreams- A must for the Toronto Traveller!” 5 of 5 stars

I travel to Toronto often usually staying in your typical hotel type accommodation. However on my last visit I booked my stay at the Suite Dreams bed and breakfast, and I can honestly say that I will never set foot in a Toronto hotel again!

The location was superb, I was just minuets from such great destinations as Little Italy, Yorkville, as well as Down Town. While situated in the quite of Korean Town, I had the full Toronto experience without the noise and coldness of the bigger mainstream hotels.

The service including the breakfast could not have been better. Jean was a most helpful and gracious host, even providing me with recommendations on place to visit and eat. The overall experience was very positive.

I strongly recommend that others see for themselves.

Outstanding " "Great Experience!" " 5.0 / 5.0

Great experience! We enjoyed a splendid stay at the Suite Dreams B&B over New Year’s weekend. Mr. Tan maintains a spotless welcoming establishment. He communicated with us via e-mail several times before our arrival and gave us clear easy to use directions from the airport to his B&B via public transport. The B&B is located in a residential neighborhood with neatly kept homes and a lane way away from the Christie St. metro stop. Our room, the “Cathedral” with large bathroom en suite, was spacious, quiet and toasty warm. The whole house is wireless, so connection to the internet is super easy. Mr. Tan offers a large variety of breakfast choices and bottomless cups of coffee – and tasty at that. Our fellow guests (there are three guest rooms) were delightful and charming. Whenever we came back from an outing, Mr. Tan would offer us a hot cup of tea to take away the seasonal chill. We highly recommend Suite Dreams B&B if you want an “at home” experience while in Toronto. The location has ideal access to public transport, walking to neighborhoods (Queen West, Little Italy, Yorkville), museums and a very kind and informative host. There are many Asian restaurants on Bloor for a hearty local meal.

Great place to stay

Rated 4.2 / 5.0 on September 20, 2014

We stayed here for a few nights in Septembe 2014, and it was a lovely little b&b. Albert Tan, the owner, was very kind and helpful, and the room was very spacious and clean. It was a little further from downtown than we would have liked ideally, but it is very close to a subway station so transport in and out and to the airport was easy. There were also numerous restaurants, bars and shops close by so going out in the evening was convenient. I would definitely recommend Suite Dreams fir a stay in Toronto.

A Suite Dreams B&B is a very clean & welcoming place! Mr Tan is a super accommodating and helpful with everything that we needed. It did not matter what time of day it was, he always made himself available to answer any questions, & to meet our needs. He patiently made our breakfasts each morning of our stay. He will talk to you on just about anything - he has a wealth of knowledge, whether its politics, history, geography, anything!!! The location is also great-10 minutes to downtown via subway, and neighboring attractions. I think Suite Dreams can improve by providing travel or individual size of toiletries, instead of the big, already opened ones, which apparently is passed on from one guest to the next.

“Best B&B we have ever stayed in!” 5 of 5 stars Stayed April 2014, travelled as a couple

We stayed here for twelve nights of Hot Docs Film Festival in April-May, 2014. Because of the exceptional nature of this B&B, we had a marvellous trip. Our suite was the beautiful Cathedral suite on the top floor where we had a huge amount of quiet space: sitting area with fridge, walk in closet, enormous bathroom, deck and living and sleeping areas. Along with openable windows at each end of the suite, air-conditioning and heat were self-controlled. We found the bed a little softer than ours at home but slept well. Our superb host, Albert Tan, was always gracious, accommodating and engaging. He made special gluten free breakfasts on request, kept a scrupulously clean, smoke-free B&B, offered travel assistance and provided Toronto information readily. Suite Dreams was the best location for us a block from the subway and within walkable distance of Royal Ontario Museum, University of Toronto, Chinatown, both Bloor and Royal Theatres, terrific restaurants, a local library and much more. We both strongly recommend staying here and will stay again in the fall!

“Lovely Place, Great Experience” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed

I arrived from the train station and by subway and with the excellent directions provided in advance by email, was there in just a few minutes - it's a block from the Christie TTC Station off Bloor, which made it a great hub if you like the subway, and a half hour stroll to the museums I was visiting.

Mr Tan is a lovely and considerate host - he "upgraded" my room and served a great breakfast every morning - I had to leave very early on the last day to catch the train and let him know I'd be gone before breakfast - he showed me where everything was so I could help myself, but in the morning he was already up to offer me a hot meal.

The room was very nice, spacious, prettily decorated but not fussy, very clean and well cared for - and the price was excellent. There are many restaurants in the area and it's very easy to get around.

I usually stay with friends in Toronto and since I was there for a longer stay I thought I'd give them a break and enjoy a little more autonomy myself. Mr Tan was very good at estimating how much hosting I was in need of, which is a rare gift in my experience of B&Bs.

The accommodating nature, courtesy and charm of the host are reflected in all the aspects of this place and my experience there. I hope to stay here on future visits to Toronto. Thank you Mr Tan!

“An intimate B&B run gently by a kind gentleman” 5 of 5 stars

I knew I'd found a bargain when I booked this on Expedia, but had no idea just what a sweet and thoughtful fellow owned and operated this delightful townhouse in Toronto's Koreantown, just one block from the Christie St. subway station on Toronto's only east-west subway line (along Bloor Street West) From the moment I walked in, I knew I had been lucky picking this place. I knew of one of the few rules already, to take off one's shoes in the house, and since I like padding about in stocking feet, I was only too happy to oblige! Then Mr. Tan made a me a hot cup of tea on a frigid March night, and it hit the spot. After I got settled and caught up with hockey scores on the TV in my room -- and remember, lots of B&Bs don't bother with TVs at all! -- he directed me to a very nice Indian restaurant just a ten-minute walk down Bloor. And he gives you your choice of different breakfast entrees, all delicious, and I loved the yogurt/fresh fruit "appetizer." (Quotes added since one doesn't think of appetizers at breakfast, but essentially, that's what this is!) You can chill out and be quiet during breakfast, or, if you're a chatterbox like me, engage in interesting and pleasant conversation with Mr. Tan, who was born in China but is a citizen of Singapore. I even loved charming little touches like coasters with scenes of famous Singapore sites on them! Oh, and did I mention the place is clean as a whistle and charmingly decorated? I can't manufacture even the tiniest of kvetches! ("Kvetch" is a New York term for complaint, or one who complains!) Keep up the good work and hostelry, Mr. Tan!

There are only four rooms, so this is almost moot, me thinks. My basement apartment was as quiet as you could desire. The whole neighborhood is tranquil, and though Bloor St. is busy with shops and restaurants, it's a good 60-75m from house, so that's no problem at all.

“Handled my cancellation wonderfully” 5 of 5 stars

A few weeks ago I had to cancel my trip to Toronto - on the same day I was to arrive - due to circumstances beyond my control. Obviously, and according to the Suite Dreams cancellation policy, I was to lose my deposit, which is the normal protocol in these types of situations. So, I sent a message to Mr. Tan letting him know that even though it was the same day I was to arrive, I wasn't going to be able to make it.

To my surprise, he messaged me back and said I wouldn't be losing my deposit, and in fact I could use it toward another stay (plus another night!) at Suite Dreams within the next 6 months. I had to re-read the email several times to make sure it sank in that not only did I get a second chance to go back to Toronto, but the deposit I already paid was going to be used toward my stay! Incredible! So here I am, writing a review to express my gratitude and say I'm happy to have another chance to go to Toronto - all thanks to Mr. Tan. I'll be able to write a proper review after my stay, of course!

The lesson learned here is being courteous and respectful of people can go a long way.

“A wise choice for my travel in Toronto” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed

I stayed here for three nights to write a test at UoT. I chose the B&B just because it’s near the university but seems quiet as commented by other travelers. A Suite Dreams, however, is much more than these two merits. First of all, Albert is a great host—I missed my booked flight on the departure day so arrived later than expected, but Albert was there, welcoming me with his pleasant smile. Then a big surprise came as I was told to have been upgraded to the Cathedral Suite on the top floor! This spacious spotless room is fabulous as I enjoyed the sun during the day and slept very well on the comfortable bed at night. Although it might be too luxurious for a single traveler and a test taker like me, it’s perfect for family travelers. Albert is also very considerable because he didn’t use the vacuum cleaner to do cleaning the day I was in my room to do a last review before the test. I think he knew I was reading and didn’t want to produce any noise to distract my concentration. Later on he did say that he usually used the mop instead the vacuum cleaner to do housekeeping if guests didn’t go out. So, a very kind host, the perfect location, a quiet home in a busy city, plus fresh breakfasts, I can’t think of any reason not to recommend this B&B. I myself will definitely come again if I travel to Toronto next time.

We chose Suite Dreams Bed & Breakfast in Toronto for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 25th anniversary and it was a wise choice. Mr. Tan, the owner, was friendly, gracious, and helpful while the B&B itself is clean, cozy, and conveniently located in exotic Koreatown.

There are dozens of great shops and restaurants within walking distance (even in frigid February) and nearby Bloor Street is a gateway to much of the city. During our short weekend, we visited the Royal Ontario Museum, BMV Books (a must for any book lover), Chinatown, and ate dinner (twice) at the Clinton Pub, a five-minute walk from the B&B.

We would highly recommend Suite Dreams to anybody visiting Toronto! Room Tip: We were upgraded to the Sunset room, which is larger than the Sunrise room we booked, but both are great.

"8 Stays in 2 Years: Still Toronto's Best!"

I could go on and on for days about all of the many reasons Mr. Tan's exquisite B&B remains the absolute best lodging option in the entire Greater Toronto Area, but one can read through all of the nearly 400 positive reviews here or simply link to my previous reviews for the scoop on all of those details. The purpose of this particular review is to simply convey to fellow travelers how important it is to consider repeat business and referrals when evaluating your lodging choices. My family has stayed with Mr. Tan 8 separate times in 3 of his 4 rooms over the last 2 years. My personal standards are very high (off the carts actually), and Suite Dreams has always delivered time and time again, which is why I have never considered another lodging after having discovered this wonderful B&B. I referred other family members to Suite Dreams when they were visiting Toronto, and they were as impressed with their stay as I have always been with all 8 of mine. One simply cannot do any better than Suite Dreams B&B. Mr. Tan is the most accommodating and gracious host you'll ever meet. It's abundantly clear he is concerned about providing exceptional service in everything he does for his guests, and it shows. Mr. Tan is a true gentleman, and we are very honored to be able to consider him a good friend. Suite Dreams is ranked number 1 for good reason, and I'll guarantee that you'll agree with the ranking following your stay. In fact, you'll more than likely recall later how everything about Suite Dreams made your visit to Toronto truly exceptional. Although the personal business that brought us to visit Toronto many times is nearing its end for a while, we have grown to love the city and will return soon. When we do, I will spend zero time looking for lodging and will simply contact my friend, Mr. Tan!

An outstanding B&B

Albert Tan, the proprietor of 'A Suite Dreams' B&B, keeps the place spotless and it feels just like a home away from home. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds, a TV and fridge and bath/shower. Albert maintains the cleanliness of the property by asking guests to remove their shoes on entering which my wife and I had no issue with and as far as I know, no other guests did either. Albert prepares breakfast which comprises fresh fruit and yoghurt followed by eggs, either boiled, poached or an omelette with juice and plentiful supplies of coffee or tea. There is a table to seat 6 people and a breakfast bar which will accomodate 2. We found this ideal as you would get to meet other guests at breakfast and we had some great conversations over our eggs. In the week we were with Albert, we met two lawyers, a psychotherapist, a senior space scientist from NASA and a farmer. Albert is extremely helpful and can't do enough for you. He will suggest tours you can take and tell you of his favourite places to eat, none of which will break the bank. He has a plentiful supply of pamphlets so you will never be short of things to do or places to visit. 'A Suite Dreams' is located in Koreantown and is very close (but not too close) to a metro station. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Albert's lovely home for your stay in Toronto and we would definitely stay there again. Albert fully justifies the unbroken 5* ratings given by Expedia reviewers.

"Welcoming B&B" Stayed December 2012, traveled with family. This was my first bed and breakfast experience and second trip to Toronto. It was welcoming and a most comfortable stay with a gracious host, Albert Tan. The breakfasts were wonderful and the whole stay friendly and flawless. My room was the Sunrise Suite with the attached bathroom. The availability of internet and the phone were also a great convenience as well as being close to downtown, bus service and the subway in a quiet neighborhood.

I will be staying at the Suite Dreams B&B on my next trip.

Thank you so much again Albert for being such a gracious host!

I went to Toronto for apartment hunting, and stayed at Suite Dreams for 5 nights. I came because I wanted to have a host who is knowledgable about Toronto and can give me some honest opinion about renting. It turned out Mr. Tan is not only knowledgable about renting, he is also knowledgable about transportation, food, healthcare, buying condo etc etc etc. I think you can throw any question at him and he will give you a very thoughtful, practical and helpful answer. He also went out of his way to help me when I was having a bad experience with my real estate agent (happens often sometimes when you are new to a city), which I totally did not expect. And before I arrive, I already received a long email with lots of renting sources to look into. What can I ask for more?

The house is very clean, spacious, and I got an upgrade upon arrival without asking. Breakfast is delicious. The grand piano is a great attraction. I can't think of any better way for my house hunting trip to happen in Toronto. Stay there and enjoy, and take advantage of the cash 5% discount - proved to be significant since tax is high in Canada!

My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about this facility: very good location, very clean, very hospitable service, very good breakfast, and very good facilities. As the walls and doors are older designs, they are not very sound-proof, but guests staying in this B&B are a more mature crowd and you won't have to worry about late night party goers or rowdy crowds. The TV inside the guest rooms may be small, but if you are planning on staying indoors for most of the day rather than enjoy the sites of Toronto, then you may not be taking full advantage of your trip. If you are confined indoors due to weather or other conditions, nothing that your laptop or tabloid can't fix with the facility's wi-fi internet service. I would definitely recommend this location for visitors to the city who plan on touring the city via TTC and surrounded by fine Korean restaurants.

If you are looking for a great place to stay with a great breakfast, Suite Dreams is the right place for you. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Mr. Tan was a terrific host and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. He gave us great tips on how to get around the city and a list of restaurants to visit. For breakfast, Mr. Tan serves fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee/tea, and a choice of scrambled eggs, cheese omelette, french toast or grilled cheese. We had the scrambled eggs and omelette - it was so delicious! It's not an extensive menu, but every item he prepares is excellent.

The B&B is located in koreatown near many good restaurants. There is also a subway station two blocks away that makes it convenient to get to downtown to visit the sites. Suite Dreams is highly recommended and we would stay there again in a heartbeat. Stayed November 2012, traveled as a couple

The breakfasts are good and Mr. Tan is especially helpful in in giving directions to the many attractions of Toronto. Upon our arrival he gave us an easy to use map and marked distances with walking and transportation times. This was of much help to us to navigate Toronto on our first visit. Wonderful Experience

My wife and I seek out B&B's when we are vacationing, thus we are very seasoned travelers to them. Albert Tan was a most gracious host in a very well located B&B, (Christie Train stop was just down the block), the sites we went to daily were all walkable, (if you like walking) and all the needed amenities such as restaurants and stores were in the area. Our room was spotless and large, and we were in a very pleasant home, located in a part of Toronto considered as Koreatown, which in fact is also walking distance to Little Italy, Kensington Market and Chinatown. We had no trouble daily walking from his home into the downtown area to places such as the CN Tower and then walking back again to the B&B. He made us always feel at home in his B&B, prepared our daily breakfasts, offered us above and beyond what is usually expected at a B&B and was pleasant company when we returned after a long day of site seeing. The wealth of information he has about the area is vast and he is most happy to share it with all.

We would go back in a heartbeat, and have already recommended his establishment to others who are planning on visiting Toronto.

Note: Due to Hurricane Sandy, we needed to leave one day earlier than planned, and as expected, he was most accommodating to us, even offering us use of the room to take a nap and shower prior to our taking that 11:59PM departure from Toronto back to NY.

We thank Albert for his grand hospitality and understanding, and believe this sums up what a great host he was. Room Tip: We have the top floor suite, it was quiet and large. The bathroom was as large as some rooms we have stayed.

Our recent stay in mid-April was our fourth in the past year, and we are more convinced than ever that Suite Dreams is undoubtedly the best lodging in the city of Toronto, period. Location? Check.right in the middle of Bloor Street West and only a 15 minute very pleasant walk to the U of T campus. In fact, one may walk nearly everywhere in downtown from here. Reasonably-priced and fantastically good restaurants, cafes, coffee shops (not the type in Amsterdam), and other eclectic eateries of all types? Check, check.you'll find Korean, Vietnamese, Ethiopian, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Middle Eastern, Greek, pizza, burgers, ice cream, and much more up and down Bloor.this stretch of Bloor must have more per capita eateries than any city in North America. And on a Friday or Saturday night, some are open until 4 am.no reason to go hungry in Toronto. Plus, there are lots of bars, some clubs, many small, ethnic grocery stores with outdoor markets, and drugstores all along this stretch. Everything one might need may be found here. Transportation? Check, check, check.the Christie subway station is one street over from the B&B. A magnificent B&B? Check, check, check, check.this is the best part! Mr. Tan is a wonderful and gracious host.he sets the standard in providing exceptional service, making sure his guests are well cared for. He's a great conversationalist and clearly places a high priority on relationships and service.something of a rarity anywhere these days. We always feel like honored guests there. The B&B is a truly excellent value: extremely clean, very comfortable, in mint condition, with very good breakfasts and in a great, safe neighborhood. It always feels like we are arriving back home after a day out. I have very high standards with respect to the lodging choices I make when traveling.I can honestly say that Suite Dreams is among the best I've stayed anywhere in the US, Canada, or Europe. It's truly outstanding, and I'm very much looking forward to two more visits before the end of 2012. In my opinion, there is no better lodging in the city. Suite Dreams B&B has earned and deserves the highest possible marks in every category!

Great location, impeccably clean, comfortable room, and Mr. Tan makes great french toast! Mr. Tan is an extraordinary host, and we would definitely stay here again.

"Absolutely Immaculate!" 5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012 NEW

I was deciding between the Suite Dreams B&B and an inexpensive hotel for my accommodation in Toronto. The hotel was slightly cheaper, but it was without breakfast and with Wi-Fi charge, whereas breakfast and Wi-Fi were included in the price at the Suite Dreams. I thus thought the Suite Dreams B&B would be a better deal all in all. To me, all the comments on this B&B in TripAdvisor sounded too good to be true, but again I thought it would still be good even if they were only half true. So, I chose here and arrived to find all those positive comments are actually true! This B&B is absolutely immaculate in every sense of the word. Good and handy location (Christie subway station just a few steps away and easy access to lots of nice and inexpensive restaurants); tranquil and peaceful environment; an incredibly clean and comfortable room furnished with good taste; excellent breakfast with fresh fruit salad topped up with yogurt and plenty of delicious coffee; varieties of tea (English tea, green tea, jasmine tea, peppermint tea, chamomile tea, etc.) and coffee in the kitchen with a kettle for you to make a hot drink any time you want; Free Wi-Fi and free local calls. Above all, Albert, the host of the B&B, is exactly as everyone describes. He is so attentive, caring, and helpful as well as knowledgeable and experienced. He provided me with all the support and help I needed, and yet being the slightest bit obtrusive. Conversation with him was always amusing and enjoyable, as he was a good listener as well as a good communicator. I stayed 8 nights, and throughout my stay he made me feel very at home. Actually, when I was checking out, I felt as if I had been leaving my own home. I would confidently recommend this B&B to all my friends, as I can't think of any other place to stay in Toronto that would be as lovely as this place.

"Home away from home" 5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2011

We enjoyed our stay at Suite Dreams. It is is a safe, quiet area close to a metro station and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was prepared to accommodate our schedule and was quick and delicious. The french toast was my favorite. Albert taught me how to make it, but I have not been able to duplicate his results. He arranged for our tours to pick us up out front and gave us suggestions for dinner. I particularly liked the pizza at "Hey Lucy" a few blocks down Bloor street. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend Suite Dreams to others.

"Home Abroad" Date of review: May 11, 2011 - New Altough I've been in Hotels and B&B's all around the world there are not many that qualify to be called the best. But every once in a while you come along such an incredible place that makes your stay that much more enjoyable. Albert Tans Suite Dreams is such a place.

Starting with a warm welcome and a host who reads your every wish almost before you can ask of it. Ending with a great breakfast that left me starting the day on a high.

The B&B is located close to the Christies subway station. So you're 10 Minutes away from Downtown Toronto. My room was spacious and had a big tv in it. The bathroom was shared.

Perfect stay. My next visit to Canada will start here. Date of stay: May 2011

"Highly Recommended B&B" Date of review: May 6, 2011 - New This B&B is perfect in every way - a confortable room, delicious breakfast, a convenient location and a reasonable price. The owner, Mr Tan, is very informative, friendly and accommodating. He is always on time for the breakfast when we want it and helpful with information on how and where to go.

This B&B deserves all the great comments. I would definitely stay in this hotel when I visit Toronto again. Date of stay: May 2011

"I can't recommend this place enough." Date of review: May 5, 2011 I am not a person who normally stays at bed and breakfasts, but this place is not a normal bed and breakfast. The room was fantastic, the breakfast was delightful and the location is perfectly situated to experience Toronto. The real topper, though, is Mr. Albert Tan himself. More than just a innkeeper, Mr. Tan is obviously dedicated to making sure that your stay in Toronto is a pleasant one. He is a genuine person who gives great advice and makes wonderful conversation. Our trip to Toronto would have been much less without him and his fantastic establishment. Date of stay: March 2011

"a nice B&B in Toronto" Date of review: Apr 27, 2011 My husband and I brought two kids and my mom to visit Toronto in last weekend. We stayed in Suite Dreams B&B for three nights. "A gem in Toronto!" Date of review: Apr 5, 2011 My family and I just returned home after a short trip to Toronto and our stay at Suite Dreams Bed and Breakfast made our trip all the more enjoyable. It was wonderful to have a home base that really felt like home. The owner, Mr. Tan, greeted us warmly upon our arrival and was a kind and accommodating host that had a wealth of knowledge about places to go and things to see in Toronto. The location of this bed and breakfast is in a residential area in the heart of Koreatown so there was a wealth of wonderful ethnic restaurants and bakeries right around the corner. Mr. Tan gave us recommendations about places to eat and they were spot on! We enjoyed a delicious Korean dinner one night and a wonderful Vietnamese dinner the next. This bed and breakfast was not only beautiful, it was nicely appointed, clean, quiet and comfortable. We had lovely home cooked breakfasts of fresh fruit and eggs prepared to our liking each morning. Our children, age thirteen and six, were made to feel welcome. Our six year old cried when we left and made us promise to only stay at Suite Dreams Bed and Breakfast when we visit Toronto again. We highly recommend Suite Dreams. Date of stay: April 2011

"Would stay there again." Date of review: Apr 5, 2011 I was very happy that I chose this B&B to stay at. The owner, Mr. Tan, was very gracious and accommodating. When he noticed I liked hot tea he set up an eclectic hot water heater in my room and provided a variety of teas. The breakfast included a generous bowl of fresh fruit. Mr. Tan was also very helpful with information about the city - you can leave your travel guidebooks at home. Date of stay: April 2011

"Delightful B&B" Date of review: Apr 2, 2011 Mr Albert Tan, who runs Suite Dreams, is a gracious host and was really helpful. As we had never been to Toronto (or Canada) before, his suggestions about places to visit and general guidance helped us greatly. The breakfasts were excellent and prepared to a very high standard. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the location is convenient, as there is both a parking lot and subway station close by. We are happy to recommend it to anyone who wants a friendly and comfortable place to stay. Date of stay: March 2011

Would definitely recommend it to others looking for an alternative to the big hotels in Toronto. Thank you Mr. Tan we had a great weekend stay! Date of stay: March 2011

"Fantastic, very clean, comfortable, graciously hosted B&B" Date of review: Feb 14, 2011 I stayed at Suite Dreams B&B for several weeks this past October while looking for a more permanent home, so this will be a thorough review. This place provided me with a lovely, clean, very comfortable environment which really did become a great home base. Albert Tan hosts this B&B and is simply an extremely kind and thoughtful person - the perfect host. He went out of the way to really make one feel at home and cared for. For example, he offered me chicken soup and other homemade flu remedies when I became sick.

The room is very comfortable with all of the necessary amenities. I stayed in the Garden Suite, which I would particularly recommend in the summer as it opens into a private courtyard. The entire B&B is kept extremely clean, which gives one a lovely, relaxed feeling, especially coming right off the streets of Toronto. Please do your part by taking off your shoes at the door.

Your breakfast is made to order, starting with wonderful, wonderful fruit and yoghurt. Though the B&B tends to be pretty quiet, at breakfast you may meet and converse with the other guests, who arrive in Toronto from many international destinations. You are free to make your own coffee and tea during the day.

This B&B is great for couples or for a couple with a child, however I would ESPECIALLY recommend it for single travellers as the host is so very honourable and helpful and it is a very safe neighbourhood. The breakfast time is also a great way to chat a bit with other travellers if you are feeling lonely.

The location is fantastic. It is just off of one of Toronto's main streets (Bloor) and just around the block from Christie Subway Station, which is very close to the downtown core. If you want, you can even just walk east along Bloor and get to downtown quite quickly. From here east along Bloor there are all manners of shops and restaurants, and within about 20 minutes walk you will arrive at the Art Gallery of Ontario and some U of T buildings.

The neighbourhood in which this B&B is located is pretty quiet, though close-by on Bloor there are many bars and restaurants open late so there are always people around, which is a security plus for singles. The stretch of Bloor this B&B is located on is called Korea Town. This is a small group of shops and restaurants with a relaxed atmosphere and lots of tasty, affordable food.

So- if you are looking for a place downtown, enjoy the added warmth and personability of a B&B, and cleanliness is important to you, stay here. You'll be happy. :)

The spacious and spotless room/bathroom (we stayed in the "Cathedral"), the good and healthy breakfast including an interesting chat each morning made us really feel at home. Bloor Street is around the corner for shopping, eating, entertainment, the subway is close by as well and you can walk to University in about 20 min. "Great Accommodations, Convenient Location, Congenial Host" Date of review: Dec 5, 2010 My wife and I spent four nights at the Suite Dreams Toronto B&B while visiting Toronto for the first time for a birthday vacation and came away very pleased. The Suite Dreams is well located for anyone who wants to visit the sites of Toronto on foot and by public transit. It is located in Korea Town, just a few houses from Bloor Avenue with many inexpensive and tasty Korean restaurants. Bloor street itself is fascinating. Little Italy is only a 15 minute walk away. A subway station is conveniently located just around the corner, with a shortcut through a parking lot shortening the walk to two or three minutes. We went all over Toronto using the Suite Dreams as our home base to visit the AGO and ROM museums, the University, Queen's Quay, Second City, Kensington Market, Cabbage Town, Greek Town, the Allen Gardens, Castle Loma, et al quickly and easily via public transit with no problems or delays. The Suite Dreams is in a modern (but not bland), super clean, house. The rooms are well lit, warm, with comfy beds and nice bathrooms. Wi-Fi access is available for those who feel the need to remain connected. The host, Mr. Tan, is congenial and friendly. My wife and I spent extra time each morning at the breakfast table speaking with him about the city and his interesting life. The breakfasts were simple and tasty (starting with fruit and yogurt, a choice of scrambled eggs, omelettes, or french toast, accompanied by tea, coffee and orange juice). If we visit Toronto again we will surely book at the Suite Dreams. We recommend it highly. Mr. Tan is a very gracious host. Date of stay: December 2010

"Wonderful Suite Dreams at Toronto" Suite Dreams Toronto B&B

AnilAhuja17 1 contribution New Delhi, India Sep 20, 2010 | Trip type: Business, Couples New

A traveller to an unknown large city needs primarily two things: (1) connectivity to the business and entertainment districts and (2) clean, comfortable and homely accommodation that minimizes discomfort and jet lag after a long journey.

At Suite Dreams we were pleasantly surprised to find both these criteria fulfilled--and more.

As travelers who wish to explore and adventurously seek hidden gems in a new city, we selected Suite Dreams through a rigorous search. We consciously avoided seeking opinion from friends and were happy at our selection.

I was to be in Toronto for a long duration to work on a study project. We booked Suite Dreams initially for just a couple of days to make a central base to search long-term accommodation and also for the ease of travel within downtown. Suite Dreams scored well above our expectations on all counts and, therefore, we ended up extending our stay to two weeks at the place--fortunate that the bookings were cancelled.

Mr Tan, the proprietor, turned out to be a perfect homely host full of care and useful information. The place is utterly clean, well organized and amazingly central with lots of restaurants, cafes and entertainment options accessible via the TTC metro next doors. Mr Tan helped us get oriented, went out the way to assist my pregnant wife and took care of us just like a close friend and family.

Coming from India where personal care and attention by family and friends is a norm, we felt perfectly at home at Suite Dreams. The homely environment and the great breakfast was the best start for each day that turned out to be great and hugely productive. We made several friends with co-residents and never felt out of place.

I will strongly recommend Suite Dreams to anyone who wishes a clean, homely stay for short or extended duration in Toronto or for those heading ahead for further traveling in Canada.

Leondra71 1 contribution New York City, New York Sep 14, 2010 | Trip type: Couples

We had our honeymoon here after traveling from New York City. Even though our train was delayed leaving Niagara Falls, Albert greeted us and made us immediately feel at home. He was so helpful and nice, he put us right at ease. The breakfast that was waiting for us in the morning was phenomenal. We had no trouble getting around the city thanks to his very detailed directions. We had all the privacy and quiet we could possibly want when we returned home. This place is the very definition of cozy. The area is very cool and we were delighted to realize later that the Scott Pilgrim saga took place only blocks away from where we were staying! (See movie for further details) Don't be afraid to explore the neighborhood, it's almost like the village in NYC. The food is excellent no matter what type you like. You have to visit Honest Ed's on Bloor St., it's amazing. When you stay at Suite Dreams you will not disappointed, we really didn't want to leave. Hopefully we'll be back next year.

"A home away from home, right in the heart of Toronto" LSuzy 2 contributions Singapore, Singapore Sep 4, 2010 | Trip type: Couples My partner and I spent five nights in the Sunrise Suite at this B&B, and we recommend this as an excellent place to stay during a trip to Toronto. Although the rooms may be a little pricey for some, you will certainly be well-pampered as a guest if you can afford the rates.

The host, Mr Albert Tan, was most gracious and hospitable. He was all ready to welcome us when we checked in, armed with city maps, brochures of local attractions, food recommendations, and suggestions for a day out in Toronto. He was always on hand to answer any queries, and always very happy to make conversation.

Breakfasts made by Mr Tan are delicious and really fill you up - he puts in a great deal of effort to prepare them, and one can tell that he puts in much thought to ensure that they are healthy and yummy for his guests. Do try his omelettes and his home-made granola - these are his signature breakfast items! His service is impeccable - when we urgently needed to use the Internet but did not bring a laptop with us (he does offer complimentary Internet wireless connection), he was most happy to offer us some time with his laptop and printer.

The Sunrise Suite was exactly as depicted on the B&B's website, and came with generous closet space, clean towels, regular shampoo and bathsoap, and a hair-dryer. The room comes with a cooling fan for a warm Toronto summer, as well as ironing facilities (on request). The bed was very comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. The B&B and surrounding neighbourhood were also very quiet, making it an ideal place to rest and relax after a long day out.

The B&B is close to Bloor Street West, a major road in Toronto with many eateries. The neighbourhood appears relatively safe at night, save for one or two dodgy but probably harmless characters (not uncommon in big cities). The subway (Christie station is nearest to the B&B) is very fast and convenient, and takes guests quickly to local attractions within Toronto (within 15-30 minutes). It's also a quick ride home after a tiring day of touring the city.

All in all, an excellent choice if you are looking for a home away from home in Toronto. Do book in advance though, as rooms fill up quickly. We will certainly visit Mr Tan and his B&B again in future!

"Best B&B, Best Host, Best Room, Best Sleep" AucklandKiwi2010 1 contribution Auckland Aug 30, 2010 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel I really enjoyed my stay at Suite Dreams Toronto. I had been staying in hotels in other parts of the country and when I reached Toronto I was very tired and worn out - I had not been sleeping all that well in the hotels. I got to Suite Dreams, Albert met me (there is no sign so don't worry you are at the wrong place - he will come to the door), and he took me up to the room. I sat on the bed and a wave of relief and relaxation came over me. It is no exaggeration to say that I felt like staying in the room for two days to just enjoy the peace, the quiet, the amenities. The bed is just perfect - different kinds of pillows depending on what you prefer, high thread count sheets, perfect mattress - and the room is thoroughly clean. Albert doesn't just surface clean he deep cleans every day and it really shows. Anyway I had to leave the room because I had a busy schedule. I appreciated the location being near Koreatown, Little Italy, Chinatown and some of the major sights of Toronto - I felt immersed in the place and not just situated in some kind of sterile, bland business-district. I walked a lot - from the city centre to Suite Dreams which took about an hour and I loved it. Usually I would just take a taxi to save time or energy. Enjoy yourself at Suite Dreams!

"B&B of your Suite Dreams :)" tiffanie_one 2 contributions NY Aug 25, 2010 | Trip type: Couples Mr. Tan, the owner of Suite Dreams B&B, is an impeccable host and provides stellar customer service. He has a beautiful home that he takes pride in, which is evident in how clean his B&B is. There is nothing you can't ask Mr. Tan for that he won't try to accommodate. Breakfast is a festive fresh fruit bowl with yogurt and home made granola, PLUS he will make you anything you want to order. Since he only has a few rooms, it is quaint and quiet. It is located on one of the nicest streets in Toronto. Bloor St is a few houses away, and there is so much to do in the area. We have stayed twice at the Suite Dreams B&B and will continue to choose them for our future visits to Toronto. If you are looking for a B&B in Toronto to have a special, enjoyable, stress free experience, you best book the Suite Dreams B&B!

"Feeling back home!" KihljaeRyoo 1 contribution Fairfax, Virginia Aug 23, 2010 | Trip type: Family Considering the multicultural and village-like style Toronto, I and my family including two childeren decided to stay B & B. I found Suite Dreams getting excellent review and rates among B & Bs, so I reserved two nights online without hesitation. But I worried about the stay in B & B because I have never experienced. Approaching the SD located at the cross between the Bloor St. and Clinton St., I was alarmed to find that the SD was in the midst of the Korea Town, I never knew. I am a Korean, so the environments to provide various Korean foods must be favorable point to me. Specifically I cannot help mentioning the restaurant 'Bukchang-dong Sundubu[bean curd not yet pressed in a fram]' located at the crossroad. However, other peoples do not have to be dissapointed because there are lots of restaurant from all over the world on the Bloor Street which might be probably one of the areas that show multicultural feature in Toronto. Going back to Suite Dreams, it has nice and clean rooms with comfortable bathroom and wide closet. And Albert provides decent breakfast. Any traveler who wants economic price without bubble, cleanness of room, comfortable environment, and proximity to Toronto's multicultural feature should consider Suite Dreams Toronto the first. I will not hesitate to stay there in the future, and to recommend it to my friends strongly.

"We had a great time!" mrbatb 4 contributions freehold nj Aug 22, 2010 | Trip type: Couples This B&B is a terrific place to stay! We stayed in the Sunset Suite which was very clean and quiet. It even had a refrigerator which was great to use for cold treats in the evenings. Mr. Tan was a very gracious and unotrusive host-his breakfasts are not to be missed.! There was always fresh fruit which you could have with yogurt as well as with Mr. Tan's homemade granola(that was a great extra in our opinion), as well as a hot dish such as scrambled eggs. It was very easy to get to other parts of the city since the Christie subway station is around the corner. This B&B is a real find-I would reserve a room early-you don't want to miss staying here!!

"Nice centrally located newer B&B with private washroom" The best feature is Mr. Albert Tan himself who is very accommodating and goes out of his way to make the stay pleasurable. A truly nice individual. The location was great - walking distance to several ethnic neighborhoods and museums. If I could improve one thing it would the showerhead - fairly week, although this may be a limitation of water conservation regulations. Overall great stay.

"Convenient, clean and quiet home in a nice neighbourhood" We stayed 2 nights in suite dreams B&B. Our room (sunrise) and the whole house were very clean, the owner is truly welcoming and helpful and we felt like in a second home. The breakfast was delicious, with a large bowl of fresh fruits and a choice of various other things. Moreover, the B&B is situated in a quiet street, around the corner from a subway station, which is very convenient. The main street, also around the corner, is lively with lots of asian restaurants and cafes. We strongly recommend this place for a cosy stay in Toronto.

"Fabulous B&B in a magical city" DavidandJoyce 1 contribution Boston, Massachusetts Jul 12, 2010 | Trip type: Couples We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong escape to Toronto last week. The city is a magical place, and our stay at Suite Dreams was wonderful from arrival through departure. When there was difficulty accessing a parking permit for the nearby lot, our host, Albert Tan, generously offered to accommodate our car in his personal garage. His home is impeccably kept and tastefully decorated. Our room featured a comfortable bed, plenty of closet space behind sliding mirrored doors, and a full en suite bathroom. As our host, Albert was courteous, helpful, and quite engaging. Breakfast was a delightful and delicious way to start each day and a comfortable time for sharing our previous day's adventures and accomplishments. The neighborhood was perfect for our needs, with Christie subway station only steps away. We travelled downtown and out of the city with ease from this location using our TTC week passes. This area, directly off Bloor Street, offered shopping and dining opportunities in a safe environment. We often returned to the area late at night and never felt uncomfortable on the streets. We took Albert's suggestions for local ethnic eateries and were not disappointed. We are already trying to determine our next available opportunity for a visit to Toronto, and would most certainly wish to stay at Suite Dreams when we do.

"Like staying with family" manning204 1 contribution Montreal, Canada Jul 10, 2010 | Trip type: Couples On a hot day in Toronto, we arrived at Suite Dreams. The house was beautiful, cool, and we were welcomed by Mr. Tan and his lovely niece. The room was quiet and perfect, and we loved our stay. In the future, we will be sure to stay at Suite Dreams when we are in Toronto! It was like staying with family!

"Warm and lovely hospitality." butterclam 1 contribution Seattle Jul 7, 2010 | Trip type: Couples This was a convenient and quiet place to stay. Our host was charming and helpful. He had good restaurant tips, sight seeing suggestions and extra maps for guests. A nice breakfast is prepared at the time of your choice. Two thumbs up for this bed and breakfast.

We were in Toronto for business meetings and it was so nice to have a friendly place to stay while we were there. The location was conveniently located next to the Christie subway station, so we were able to get to and from several meeting locations easily. The Sunset Suite was spacious, comfortable and clean. Albert was incredibly nice and accomodating even when our flight from Montreal was delayed and we arrived much later than expected. He always try to make sure we know how to get around the city and recommended few nice restaurants. Every morning, our breakfast starts with a variety of fresh fruits in a bowl topped up with yogurts and home made granola. Orange juice, coffee and tea. We have a choice of hot meals each morning made to order. The delicious breakfast was enough to get us off to a good start for the day. We enoyed our stay here and it was easy to walk to everywhere or explore the city on public transport in hop on / hop off bus. People in Toronto were very courteous and helpful whenever we asked for direction. We reccomand this B&B to everyone and certainly we'll be back here for our next trip to Toronto.

"Outstanding home for business stay in Toronto" Westcoastman38 WA, USA Dec 27, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel I stayed for four days in December on business trip to Toronto. The Sunset Suite was very spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The made to order breakfast was wonderful and delicious. Mr. Tan was very helpful and friendly in providing the quick and easy way with the public transit TTC system. The subway station is two minutes walk behind the house. I will definitely recommand to other colleagues to stay here. Thank you Albert for the wonderful stay.

"Excellent in every way" Hafaner St. John's, Newfoundland Dec 13, 2009 | Trip type: Couples This top quality home is located - luckily for us - just five minutes from our daughter's apartment and just a few steps away from Christie subway station. Though it came to our attention first because of its location, Suite Dreams is worth going out of your way for. Mr Tan's hospitality and high housekeeping standards, together with the tasty breakfasts he prepares, are remarkable. Our highest and warmest recommendation.

"Best b&b for business trip" KenThomas70 Nov 9, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel This is my third stay here in two years. Everything was perfect. i will be back.

"great hospitality!!" Bestiolina Nov 7, 2009 | Trip type: Friends getaway We stayed four days in Toronto and the accomodation was delightful. The owner is great, very kind and organized. The rooms are spacious, lightful and very, very clean. We certainly recommand it.

"Great hospitality and a quiet place to stay close to downtown" Climateresearch Oct 23, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel I was staying at Mr. Tan´s bed and breakfast for 9 days while doing interviews for my research. In the morning he made a wonderful and wholesome breakfast, that always started with a bowl of fresh fruit. At the end of the day, after coming back a bit tired from my interviews, a thermos with hot water and tea bags would be waiting for me in my room. The room itself is comfortable, spatious and clean. The B&B is close to down town and very close to a subway exit (Christies), so traveling to the city centre is quick and easy. All in all I had a wonderful stay and if I would ever return to Toronto I would certainly stay in this small and cosy hotel, that makes you feel like being home.

"Lovely house and good service" GrobStavanger Oct 22, 2009 | Trip type: Couples We stayed to days in Suite Dreams in Toronto. It was a really nice stay. The room was lovely, nice and clean. The breakefast was very good, with fresh fruit each day. The owner was rally a kind man, and helped us with information we needed. If we are going back some time, we would like to stay there again

"My Home Away From Home!" DaleyPrinceGeorge Oct 20, 2009 | Trip type: Business, Solo travel

have met him and feel very fortunate to have been able to stay in his home! I lived with him for 3 weeks while taking a course nearby. He is a meticulous housekeeper and does it all with a smile! I loved the area too; I could walk to restaurants, grocery stores and subway stations. Loved it There!

"Best BB in Toronto" ChicagoBicyclist Oct 17, 2009 | Trip type: Couples This was our fourth stay with Suite Dreams in the last two years. Consistently high quality, outstanding service, superb breakfast and extraordinarily helpful owner-manager.

We'll return.

"Wonderful, Pleasant and Would Stay Again" Wibubbles Oct 14, 2009 | Trip type: Couples The host was wonderful and had great ideas on where to dine and what to see! We are definitely planning another trip to the area and intend to stay at Suite Dreams B&B. It really is in walking distance of many wonderful areas in which to dine and explore.

"Second time here -- still a fantastic place to stay" chiquitabanana101 Oct 9, 2009 | Trip type: Couples The location of this B+B is a big reason why we like to stay here -- just a block from the metro station! That being said, there's also lots of other pluses. We've stayed in the Sunset and Sunrise Rooms here now, and found them both to be wonderful -- clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Albert is a kind and gracious host, and readily offers suggestions on where/how to get around Toronto if you're not familiar with it. Breakfasts are delicious and generous!

"Very hospitable" ErniesDad Oct 8, 2009 | Trip type: Solo travel A very welcoming, personable and warm place due to owner's personal involvement; immaculately maintained. Location in Koreatown/West Annex was a bit out-of-the-way for my needs, but TTC is only a block away so not really "inconvenient." Highly recommended.

"Feeling at home in Toronto" Zenmouse Oct 8, 2009 | Trip type: Couples My husband and I spent two nights in this B&B. What a lovely place! First, it is located on a quiet street, only one block away from a subway station. Anyway, you can walk from there, to so many interesting places. Mr Tan, the owner, is warmful and discreet. His house is immaculate and bright. We had a lovely room on the second floor with a private bathroom. It was nicely decorated and the bed very confortable. Mr Tan prepares breakfast in the morning and it is delicious! I had french toasts twice. Surely, if we go back to Toronto, we would not hesitate to go back! First class B&B
