Jim & Debbie are the best Bed & Breakfast hosts you can ever imagine. There home is gorgeous, their hospitality is beyond reproach. You'll want to go back for sure. It's been over a year since I've stayed at Rum Hollow and I still wish I was there today. See you again soon Jim and Debbie!!!

Fabulous location! Great people! Wonderful breakfasts! Will be back!

- Laura, from Calgary 16 October 2014

This was a great Bed and Breakfast - central location, modern and clean, off the road and on the water's edge - very relaxing. The hosts Jim and Debbie were great and made awesome breakfasts. The Lookout Room was very comfortable with high ceilings and an ocean view. Would definitely consider again and also recommend to anyone looking for Bed and Breakfast in South Shore / Halifax area

Our stay at Rum Hollow was the BEST decision my husband and I made, ever! Three adult family members took over the guest rooms this past July for 8 days, including the weekend of the beautiful military wedding of our son! Rum Hollow was our respite from a hectic week with its calm, quiet, easygoing atmosphere. We were able to explore The St.Margaret's Bay Region a bit but learned the most fascinating information about Nova Scotia from our hosts Jim and Deb. This place is a "gem" that we look forward to visiting again.

Stayed here a couple months ago for a couple nights. It was breath taking views, quiet, very clean and spacious. Felt very comfortable, and the breakfasts were amazing along with the entertainment of the hosts story telling :) Thank you for making the stay amazing. Will definitely be back...

What a wonderful place. Great location for seeing all of central NS. Halifax, the South Shore, and Annapolis Valley (wine) are all easily reached. The setting is beyond beautiful (you must catch the sunset). This place puts 5-star hotels to shame with the quality of everything. Jim & Debbie are fantastic hosts. You feel like a house guest instead of a "renter." Jim knows so much about the province that you cannot fail to have an incredible time when you follow his advice. Thank you does not even start to cover it. We will be back.

My husband and I spent the first few nights of our honeymoon at Rum Hollow (Aug 2007). It was our first time staying at a B&B and the experience so far has been the absolute best. Thank you Jim for the wonderful experience. ***Jim, I still have your recipe for the berry stuffed French toast*** It is still the best!

- Amanda, from Calgary, Canada 26 July 2012

We stayed at this B&B on the last night of our vacation in Canada and we can only say that it was the perfect ending to a perfect vacation! The room was just gorgeous as well as the view on the lake and the boats and we had some great laughters with our hosts, not to mention the yummy pancakes. It's everything you like about Canada in one place :-)

- Anne + Martin, from Wuerzburg, Germany 25 June 2012

Definitely one of the best B&Bs we've ever experienced. The breakfast... amazing, the accommodations, the setting... difficult to beat... and we're talking middle of the Winter. One can only imagine what this place is like in the Summer. Have saved the best for last, the hosts... most hospitable and accommodating... just fantastic! Made our trip to Halifax for the Canada Winter Games a trip to remember.

A big thank you... with hopes that we'll get back out there some day!

Rum Hollow is the best ever B & B we have ever visited - - wonderful hospitality, GREAT breakfasts and the most comfortable accomodations - You can't find any better, anywhere! Wish we could visit eery year.

Highly, highly recommended. Beautiful property on an ocean cove. Very luxurious room and delicious breakfast. Friendly and helpful hosts. Stay here as often as you can.

- Andrew, from New Brunswick, Canada 28 February 2010

A postcard view from every window -- wonderfully located for new adventures everyday. We felt well-cared for and also enjoyed the privacy of large luxury room. In our 15 years of B&Bing Rum Hollow rates in the top three.

- September 2009 Guests, from New Brunswick 3 October 2009

We stayed with Jim and Alpine in Nove 07 and they were the perfect hosts. A source of local and national knowledge we looked forward to our chats and discussions with Jim over breakfast every morning. Jim even accommodated us again during our trip at short notice when the weather took a turn for the worse. The location of Rum Hollow is spectacular whatever the weather, it really did feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended, we would gladly stay again if we are back in the Halifax area.
