Wavey and Winston were excellent hosts and provided us with a daily itinerary for exploring Twillingate. The room was spacious and comfortable with an enormous ensuite bathroom. Breakfasts were delicious and we even came home with recipes.

- David and Carolyn BeavaN, from Waterdown Ontario 9 October 2018

Wavey and Winston were excellent hosts. They provided a lot of information regarding Twillingate activities and sights to see. Especially enjoyed our room which overlooked the harbour. Within walking distance to town. Good breakfast Would highly recommend this B and B

Hillside is an excellent place to stay while in Twillingate. Beautiful accommodations and very gracious hosts, Wavey and Winston. Had a wonderful experience.

- Sharon Strudwick, from Orangeville, Ontario 7 April 2017

My husband and I spent 4 lovely days and nights at Hillside, in the cottage, accompanied by his brother and sister-in-law who enjoyed a great room in the B&B at Hillside. Wavey & Winston went our of their way to accommodate us - even as far as making arrangements for my husband and his brother to meet their first cousins from a small community just outside Twillingate. Their kindness and generous nature speaks volumes in their professionalism. Everything was immaculate - right down to the ironed pillow cases and sheets!! 5 full stars from Ron Lambert & Wendy Camber of Hawkestone, Ontario - June 2016 p.s. the bran muffins and homemade waffles were pretty darn spectacular too!!

Wavey and Winston, the owners, have an amazing knowledge of the area, and of the rest of Newfoundland and Labrador. The rooms are elegant, the house is spotless, the view is perfect, the breakfasts are just what you need for a day of exploring. I hope to be back again in the not-too-distant future.

- Peter Goodchild, from Kingston, Ontario 23 May 2016

Beautiful B and B...the bedrooms are georgeous and Wavey and Winston are great hosts!

- Fran and Paul Childs, from Stephenville, NL. 7 September 2015

Historical, clean B&B. The owners sat with us at breakfast and were interested in our stay in Newfoundland. They suggested a route variation that enabled us to see many icebergs and to take in a nice lunch at Newtown.

- Roger Urquhart, from Montreal, Quebec 20 August 2015

In July of 2015 we spent a few days at the Hillside B&B in Twillingate. The accomodations and breakfasts were excellent! Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this B&B to everyone. Wavey and Winston make you feel right at home and if you need to know anything about the area, they can help you! Thank you for a memorable stay!

- Sharon Strudwick & Art Scrimgeour, from Orangeville, Ontario, Canada 24 July 2015

We recently (June 2015) stayed at Hillside B & B and had a wonderful time. The house is spotless, breakfast was more than we could eat, views are lovely, but it is the hosts, Winston and Wavey Cutler, that really makes this a 5 star. They are Newfoundland, personified. Very warm, helpful, friendly- it is like staying with family. Book early so you can stay at this B & B in Twillingate

- Beryl, from Ottawa, Ontario 21 June 2015

Location, facilities and owners were great. Flexible, and super friendly folk. Would go back anytime.

- Robert Hurtubise, from Montreal, QC 9 June 2015

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2014 in the one bedroom cottage. What a great place. The breakfasts were scrumptious, the accommodation was very comfortable and clean and the Owners Wavy and Winston were wonderful hosts. We even went to church with them on Sunday morning. The icebergs were truly spectacular. I highly recommend Hillside B&B. .....Brian and Janet Smith

We spent 2 nights at Hillside B&B in August 2013 and we were not disappointed. Wavey and Winston were very warm and hospitable hosts who shared not only their wonderful old home with us, but a wealth of information about the area. We were so happy that we included Twillingate in our itinerary and would highly recommend this B&B.

- Dale & Jean Porter, from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario 7 October 2013

We were very pleased with Hillside B&B. We had a lovely room with an excellent bed. Breakfast was luxurious.

Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and provided us with good advice as to where to go, what to see, and where to eat. We'd stay there again.

- Waldemar Lehn, from Winnipeg, Canada 5 October 2013

My husband and I had the privilege of staying at the Hillside B&B in the cottage (June 14th to 17th, 2013). It was exactly what we wanted. The cottage is so cute, cozy and comfortable. It is stocked with everything that you would need for cooking your own meals. Just like home. Plus every night Winst would drop off some wonderful fresh baked muffins and a bowl of fresh fruit. Winst and Wavey are wonderful hosts and we would not hesitate to stay with them again. The B&B is a 2 minute walk to Iceberg Quest Boat Tours and the Canvas Cove Bistro, I highly recommend both. If you are looking for comfort and a wonderful view this is the place to stay.

- Beni Van Haaren, 6 July 2013

This place rocks because of the hosts. Yes the rooms are comfy, and yes there is lots of parking, but the fun at breakfast is a fresh of breath air. Need help with information, ask them. And you gotta go to Prime Berth...

- Ron and Dot Davis, from Prince George, British Columbia, Canada 18 September 2012

Have stayed at the B & B for years; the new owners have always made us feel welcome and are wonderful hosts. Have stayed at the cottage for a number of times; fabulous little homey place; clean and comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to our door and is complimentary; wonderful!!! Thanks to Wavey and Wince for your hospitality!! We will keep returning:)

- Harlow and Elizabeth Snippen, from Mount Pearl, Nl 10 July 2012

I really do like this B & B. I was lucky enough to stay in the little cottage on both my visits but the house has very nice bedrooms as I remember. The hospitality from both hosts is nothing short of the down home Newfoundland welcome we all hope to get. Their breakfast is really good too. The town is so worth seeing and exploring and if I have my way I'll be visiting Hillside again.

We stayed at Hillside B & B On May 21, 2012. It was very comfortable (although the ceilings upstairs were pretty low!) We had a lots of towels and a large bathroom. We enjoyed the view from the B & B. Wavey and Winston were helpful and welcoming. we appreciated the map/flyer about Twllingate. Our only "problem" was that we could only stay one night.

- Barbara and Richard, from Ottawa, Ontario 8 June 2012

One of the most beautiful places on earth! And some of the nicest people at Hillside B&B. Highly recommended.

- Anonymous, from Vancouver, Canada 8 June 2012

My husband and I stayed at Hillside B&B in October 2011, and found the house, hosts and community to be warm, friendly and inviting. Hillside is a beautiful historic house, Twillingate is one of Newfoundland's true gems, and our B&B hosts were friendly and accommodating and made us feel completely relaxed and at home.

- Marlena and Michael, from Edmonton, Alberta 18 November 2011

We visited Hillside B & B in Sept. 2011. Our room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable it was just like being home. We loved the homemade jams and muffins at breakfast. We would not hesitate to recommend this B & B to anyone, in fact we did so already. Thanks Winston & Wavey!

We have been here 2003 and enjoyed the generous and warmhearted hospitality from Allan Young and his wife Marie. Ever since I miss not only the Youngs but also Twillingate with his original and friendly people! What a significant and veeery special country! I lost and left a bit of my heart in Newfoundland and especially in Twillingate! And my stomach like to remember as well;-): the Hillside breakfasts made from Allan, write / wrote history! Really a place for "body and soul"! I hope Allan and his wife are doing well and they both are in good and healthy shape! Lots of love to them, also to the current Hillside hosts unknownwise) from Margitta Peters and Monika from Switzerland

- Margitta Peters, from Zuerich, Switzerland 1 December 2010

We had a 2-day visit with Wavey and Winston and it was great. The rooms were very comfortable and roomy. The kitchen was available for making tea and toast which was very nice. Thanks Winston.

- Bert and Terri Bruder, from Ottawa, Ontario 9 September 2010

I stayed in the Queen retreat. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was huge and the host were so friendly and welcoming. It is worth the walk up the hill to the Hillside B&B look out point - the view is great. What a lovely place I would definately go back.

- Joan, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada 23 October 2008

It is a delightful place to stay. Clean, fresh and confortable. The proprietors, Winston and Wavey are wonderful people. I look forward to my next visit.

- Bonnie, from Toronto, Ontario 23 October 2008

Having stayed here in 2005, we wondered if the new owners could measure up to Linda. Both Wavey and Wince were very friendly and obviously well-suited to be in this business. Linda did a good job of hand-picking them to take over.
