We had our class field trip at Chaplin Farm yesterday. It was the perfect culminating activity for our Charlotte’s Web novel study. My students had the BEST time ever! They loved exploring, playing and interacting with the animals. Farmer Kathy was the perfect host! My students asked if we could “pleeeeaaaaase”go back for our year end trip ??

My mom and I stayed at Chaplin's this summer and had a wonderful stay. Kathy and her husband are very friendly and accommodating. We loved the breakfast and will be back for more!

Very quiet secluded little spot makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere. The place is in tip top condition, impeccably clean and beautifully furnished. Hardwood floors and ceilings throughout the place which gives you a homely atmosphere. The owner overwhelmingly welcomed us and made us feel right at home. She is such a sweet lady and cooked us breakfast the next morning at a time that was convenient for all of us. The bedrooms and bathroom are just up a level which can be accessed by the wide spiral staircase in the hall. Also upstairs is a common area which is elegantly decorated and has recliners/ sofas surrounding the entertainment center. The only downside was the common bathroom but the layout is such that the wash basin, toilet and shower were separate and each had its own entrance and hence manageable. Very thoughtful of all the amenities one would need. The patio door led out to a large backyard with swing sets for the kids and just beyond that was a chicken/goat farm. We were given a quick tour of it by her husband before we headed out. Awesome setting for the kids!!! I would highly recommend this place and of all the motels (7 of them) we stopped along the way from Sydney,NS to Edmonton,AB this was by far the best

Where do we start with this perfect, family home? My husband was training in Saskatoon, for 6 weeks, before we ventured into a 2 yr work permit. Wanting a friendly family home, we took a chance on this charming BB and what a score. In the Heart of the prairies and sun sets I photographed nightly. He was welcomed sincerely and I joined him later, to the same warmth. To an immaculate home and our hosts Ron and Kathy soon become two of our closest friends. His work never bought us back often enough, but every chance we would call by and had the pleasure of spending Christmas and Thanks Giving there as one of Kathy and Ron's extended family. All of Kathy's breakfast, including home made preserves and fresh laid eggs, are exceptional and will fill you for the day. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished with Kathy's prairie antiques and look out for the carved birds and fishing photos. Bird watch with Ron, muck out with Kathy and listen to the coyotes at night. Seriously, can not wait for our next return to this awesome Bed and Breakfast, Home away from Home.
