what a fabulous property...we'd been in Ontario visiting for a month and our stay at Sleepy Hollow was one of the highlights of our trip...we loved the house, our room, the breakfasts, the banter with our hosts, and we love Gananoque...the breakfasts are wonderful, you place your request the day before and have a wide variety of choices from the menu...we enjoyed talking with other guests at breakfast, and sitting on the front porch with a glass of wine watching a robin feeding her baby in a nest on one of the porch columns...there is also a pretty side yard with a garden and pond to enjoy...Marion and Don are the consummate hosts, I'd highly recommend staying at Sleepy Hollow...

We were delighted to spend three relaxing nights, with our friends, in this beautifully decorated Victorian home. There is a treasured collection of any kind imaginable in every nook and cranny. The charming hosts were always available to answer any questions or give suggestions. The theme bedrooms were spacious and lovingly decorated, and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfasts were beyond delicious. Your choice of several items was taken the night before, and made to order at the time of your choosing the next morning. The beautifully set table lacked nothing from fresh cut flowers to the butterfly shaped butter pat to the fresh fruit in a stemmed crystal dishes! Baskets of yummy fresh baked mini muffins, and toasted home baked bread and croissants rounded out your breakfast choice. A good selection of coffees and teas are available at all times in the dining room as well. In spite of all the attention to detail and attentive service, Don & Marion's gentle wit and easy manner kept us from feeling uncomfortable sharing their home. It was our first time at a B & B, and we are afraid it has spoiled us for any other.

Time spent on the road is often rewarded in the most unexpected way which is what my wife and I discovered when we arrived at this beautiful restored 108 year old property. Our room "Provence" was alluring and comfortable and required a short spell from my oxygen tank after we climbed the stairs....just kidding....Don will understand because I think we share the same sense of the rediculous.

There is a pool table on the second floor and other board games if you so desire.

Breakfast was definitely the highlight for us. A lovely formally set table by the window with miniature salt and pepper shakers topped off with the fattest Belgian waffles I have ever seen and my dish, free range eggs benedict and miniatute muffins, toast, jams and your choice of juices.

The property is festooned with a multitude of antiques and space.Don and Marion are expert but unassuming hosts that do not come much better...and I can say this after spending 28 days on the road in a dozen other bed and breakfasts. These are two personaalities who are dedicated to the cause of making travellers very happy, comfortable and content. Bravo! A five star rating for sure!

Gite très bien décoré dégageant une ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale. Chambre bien aménagée, les propriétaires vous proposent des petits-déjeuners très copieux et différents chaque jour. A recommander pour visiter les "1000 Iles".
