Beautiful house, great location and caring host!

Richard renovated this Victorian house in the old style: a pearl. The rooms are spacious, we had the one with the balcony. You are at 10 minutes walking from the city centre with the highlights. Richard provides you all the information you need to discover Ottowa. Breakfast is great and there is a free parking behind the house. The best B&B of Ottowa, we will recommend this to all our friends who are intending to visit Canada.

Hi Richard, thanks to your in depth guidance and recommendations we enjoyed our stay in Ottawa and our way to Quebec City. In addition my German friends could experience a typical old fashioned house in an excellent location with two very friendly inhabitants. Especially the four legged one. Well,we had a good time to remember and to tell our friends about. Seasons Greetings, Horst Drewin

P.s. I shall not forget to mention the daily huge bowl of fresh fruit. What a treat!

Richard, thank you very much for a great stay at your place in town. We were greeted warm and the tips for sightseeing were of great help. Loved the room and breakfast. Loved Sunny and Kiwi too.. Wishing you more nice guests to enjoy your hospitality. Greetings from Portugal

We have not actually stayed here!!! But our experience says volumes about the owner Richard Gervais. My wife was set to participate in the Ottawa Marathon this weekend and we were going to stay at a friends home. Without going into details the friend experienced a terrible family emergency and could not host us for the weekend. We considered going to Ottawa anyway and placed a call to Richard, hoping that there would be some last minute accommodations. I left a message. Then we decided to cancel our trip. I called back no more than 10 minutes later to let Richard know we didn't need a place to stay. I was amazed to find that although he did not have accommodations, he actually called around to a few places on our behalf! He also had no idea of our situation. That is amazing service and just plain kind. Give this man your business!

Richard is a wonderful host with good ideas for a sight-seeing tour through Ottawa. His rooms are really good to relax. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. His breakfast is fresh, far about average and highly to be recommended. Thank you for having been your guests. You must be glad to have Sunny(dog) as a companion.

My girlfriend and I were greeted with extremely warm and friendly service in this beautiful Victorian home. The accommodations were wonderful: the room was clean and bright, the owner and his dog were wonderful and the cost was extremely reasonable. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone visiting Ottawa in the future

My fellow and I spent a long October weekend at this lovely B&B and we will certainly be returning! The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated in a shabby chic style which I adore, the host -and assorted animals- are most welcoming (ask Sunny to play 'Rug') and the breakfast is plentiful, nutritious and delicious! Walking distance to the Byward Market, Parliament Hill and many other tourist attractions. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time. Breakfast was great. Very friendly staff. The tips from the owner were very helpful and accurate. I would stay here again when I get the chance. Thank you.

What a beautiful house so close to downdown. Rideau canal is only 5 minutes walk. And what a treat: burning woodfire welcoming us, and so is Sunny, the goldendoodle. A well trained dog by Richard, the charming host, who is overloading us with tips on what to see in Ottawa. Spacious, classy rooms. Very savoury breakfast. And Kiwi, the paroquet shows his trick too before we leave.

- Lieven, from Halle, Belgium 19 June 2009

We have stayed over twice thus far and our most disappointed we will be unable to take advantage of your warmth and hospitality this April. Hope you enjoy your vacation! ;-)

- Lisa DeGuire And Bernie Cyr, from Saguenay, Québec 22 March 2009

I stayed for 4 nights in December 2008. Very highly recommended, great location and Richard and Sunny both very friendly! The rooms, service and breakfast all 10 out of 10.

- Kaye, from Queensland Australia 25 January 2009

Very good place to stay in Ottawa. The house is very comfortable and the good location is a plus. The host is amazingly nice and pro-active. He helped me a lot to set up my tourist program. Sunny, the dog and the little bird Kewi make the environment even better.

- Fabíola, from Sao Paulo, Brazil 26 October 2008

We stayed only one night, but we were heartly welcomed and we've got tons of information from our host. The Tower room is really lovely and Sammy is a real nice dog. Thanks for everything!!!
