Excellent place, great people, had a wonderful stay

- David Magnuson-Ford, from Gibsons 8 July 2019

Christina & Barry, Thanks for a wonderful stay (once again) at your bed & breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We'll certainly stay there on our next trip to Marathon.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Manor. Unfortunately, we arrived very late, and had to leave early the next morning. Our host stayed up to greet us and made our stay memorable. The Manor was idyllic, and the food super. We would love to return to this wonderful B&B and stay longer.

First time staying at a bed and breakfast. The stay, for work, came well recommended by co-workers and with good reason. Chris, Dan, and their support staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Wonderful breakfasts and well kept rooms. Hope to make it back sometime to enjoy Marathon, and Lakeview, during warm weather!

First time staying in a Bed & Breakfast ever. We stayed on July 2nd & 3rd, 2011. The Lakeview Manor was excellent and beyond our expections. Super clean, crisp white linen on the beds, plenty of towels & faceclothes, washroom well stocked with a variety of Body Shop products, TV in bedroom, sitting area for reading, and a wonderful hostess, friendly Chris who served up an excellent healthy breakfast. I would rate this B&B a 5 Star accomodation and I'll be back for sure.

I just spent 3 nights at the Lakeview Manor and it was a great experience. Having grown up in Marathon and actually just across the street from the Manor I recently returned home for a family reunion. While my brother and his family taking up residence in our parents small 2 bedroom home, I decided to stay at the Lakeview Manor just down the street. With hosts Christina and Dan, the hospitality was second to none. The food was fantastic and was a surprise every day. The bedrooms and bathrooms were extremely clean. The view of Lake Superior from both the living room window and the second floor was spectacular. It was such a pleasure to stay in this historic building. Looking forward to a return visit some day. And Christina that coffee was so good. Thanks again. Pete Sippala Jr.

A fabulous stay much too short. Wonder4ful breakfast by master chef Christina and very cozy rooms and atmosphere. Much better than a hotel or motel, Thanks Chris and Dan. Steve Mahoney, Chair WSIB

Growing up in Marathon during the 50's, I remember the Guest House as it was then. Great seeing how the home looks today, and keeping the memories of such a grand home alive for others to enjoy. Would appreciate if you have any original interior pictures of the home as it was back then.

My only problem.... when can we return? Cristina did a GREAT job, we loved our stay. We had the Ensuite room and it was awesome. She provided us with a day pass to Pukaskwa national park. She and her family have new friends in Missouri. Fast wi-fi, good food, close to fishing, just off the trans Canada. Just go.

I recommend this place to anyone who would have to go to Marathon. Christine and Dan are really welcoming. It was nice talking to them to learn more about this small town. Breakfasts were very good. It's true, there's really a nice lakeview from that B&B. Dont' miss the sunset from the living room!

We have stayed at Lakeview Manor several times over the past nine months. Sherri previously and Christine currently provided a warm welcome and a kind hospitality. The rooms and facilities are very comfortable with a charm that is very inviting. The breakfasts are delicious and filling and Christine has gladly accommodated finicky teenage eaters. The location offers a majestic westerly view of Lake Superior - in all sorts of weather. Lakeview is my choice place to stay on the north shore.

My husband and I stayed at Lakeview Manor for one night and it was a very pleasant place to stay. The room was clean, spacious and beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed and even a television. There was a nice view of the lake from our room. Our hosts were very friendly and did a great job to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast was super delicious and more than we expected. I would definitely come back if ever we are in the area again and would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

My mother and I were the first to transform this house some ten years ago, before it was just a vacant house that needed a lot of touching up. I can see that you guys did a great job with this, and it looks lovely. Maybe next time I head up to Marathon I will be sure to make the time to stop off at 'Lakeview Manor'
