We can't say enough good things about this wonderful B&B and its owner. Easy to book the 'In The Vineyard' room, although the sign at the entrance to the driveway can be difficult to see. Still, Alan welcomed us warmly to his B&B, explaining everything in detail, and engaging us in conversation. The room was absolutely outstanding. Huge windows; large, private, luxurious bath; very comfortable, large four-poster bed; almost surrounded by vineyards; extremely quiet, despite the place being full; and the breakfast was wonderful, cooked and served by Alan himself. This owner pays attention to the smallest details and its shows. It's not overly pricey, and you definitely get far more than your money's worth. We will return to The Olde Lantern Inn and Vineyard when we next visit NS. Treat yourself and stay a night or two here!

Loved! Loved! Loved this place! We stayed in the 'In the Vineyard' suite that overlooks the vineyard of the adjacent Domaine de Grand Pre and the views from our windows were beautiful. Really nice host and wonderful breakfast. This place was relaxing and peaceful. It's close to the Domaine de Grand Pre Winery where you can enjoy a sumptuous dinner at 'Le Caveau' by just taking a short walk through the vineyard. I recommend this place without reservation.

Perfect for relaxing, romance and fine dining. The lantern lit walk through the vineyard will be a special memory. The convenient location near a Just Us coffee bar and next door to the fabulous Grand Pre winery and restaurant makes The Old Lantern the perfect place to stay. Clean comfortable, generous. Be sure to reserve early.

If you are looking for a centrally located inn with a gracious host, a comfortable and inviting room (with all the amenities), spectacular views then I would highly recommend the Olde Lantern Inn. A couple of key highlights: a morning stroll through the vineyards, sitting amongst the vines at sunset sharing a nice bottle of wine and the candlelit walk back from our dinner at Grand Pre with a galaxy of stars above. Even more amazing was Al's fabulous breakfast and all of the people we met at the inn that made us feel like we were among friends.

The Olde Lantern Inn was absolutely spectacular. Nestled against a vineyard, the atmosphere is quiet, serene, and romantic. The rooms are beautiful, elegantly charming, spotlessly clean, and comfortable. Though you feel like you are away from it all, the Olde Lantern has all the amenities, right down to wireless internet, television, DVD player, jacuzzi, and telephone. We couldn't have been more pleased with the atmosphere, comfort, and level of hospitality. A complete gem of a B&B.

My husband and I booked two nights the last week of May, 08 at the Olde Lantern Inn. We had a very cozy, comfortable room. The bed and bedding were great as were the stack of movies to enjoy. Allan, the innkeeper, made our stay very pleasant and was quite helpful with suggestions and directions. Breakfast was awesome. Choices included ham/cheese omlets with toast and fresh fruit or waffles with homemade maple syrup and fresh fruit. Orange juice was served in a frosted/chilled pitcher at our table along with coffee. The dining room was very cheerful along with nice table settings. Soft music added to a great ambiance. The B&B is very close to Wolfville and all attractions.

Kudos to Allan for a fantastic, relaxing, and welcoming stay.
