In September past, I spent ten days visiting friends and family in the Owen Sound area. I have been to Bill and Cecilie's before, and it is like a home-away-from- home. There is always a welcome once you've been there!

Marsha and I spent two nights at Sunset Country for the Cobble Beach Concours in mid-September. I couldn't have imagined a more hospitable headquarters for our weekend in Owen Sound. Bill and Cecilie made us feel very much at home and our room was spacious and airy, including a bay window at the front of the house. Breakfasts were tasty and of substantial helpings. Sunset Country is well-named, as we enjoyed nice sunsets on both evenings of our visit. We are hoping for a return visit for next year's Cobble Beach Concours.

Hi This was a beautiful place to stay and visit with the hosts. Great view of field and horses. Lovely food for breakfast - just right. An added bonus of a knowledgeable garden tour.

Thanks so much

I've been back a second time. Cecelia and Bill are wonderful hosts. As a guest, I really appreciate that they open up their kitchen so you can heat up your food and just enjoy eating in. Their kitchen also has a wood stove. They also have some really interesting stories and have travelled extensively. I can't wait to go there again. Oh I forgot to mention this, Cecelia has an abundance of birds that show up because she just knows what they like. Including a woodpecker. One more thing, they serve home made bread for breakfast. Delish!!!

Bill and Cecilie's home is a perfect retreat for weary hikers! After a day on the Bruce Trail (which goes right by their door!) it was wonderful to come home to a warm fire, fresh muffins and a cup of tea - even our wet clothes were taken care of! Thanks Bill and Cecilie for your hospitality, yummy breakfasts, great conversations and your warm and cosy home!

Bill & Cecilie, are some of the most warm and welcoming people on this planet. Due to traffic we did not arrive at our scheduled time, contacting Cecilie, she told us not a problem and told us how to enter the house. Upon waking the next morning we were greeted, to this wonderful woman, a warm wood stove, hot coffee to follow soon after. We also took our Pomeranian with us on the trip, he also became part of the "family" getting treats first thing in the morning from Cecilie. If you have the opportunity to stay with them you will surely not be disappointed.

Great place to stay in the country. Lovely hosts, gave us great advice concerning sights along the way. Wonderful homemade breakfast.
