The best place ever. Jason and I will be back soon with some friends. Hugs my beautiful Nova Scotian Family. Christa and Jason

We were on a 10 day vacation this summer with no destination and all day to get there. Our first night at Summit River Lodge was delightful and one of our favourite places to stay. Warm, homey, friendly and a yummy breakfast. We highly recommend staying here - it is great! Tom and Val - Edmonton

We had a group of 6 stay with Terry/Lisa/Dan this past weekend. I would recommend staying here if ever in this area, from the beds, food, and general hospitality I give it a 5 star. We had a sled break down and Terry let us use his shop and tools to repair it. Can't thank you guys enough for the great experience, we will see you next year.

Location! Location! Location! We stayed at Summit River Lodge for 3-nights in April 2014. Awesome folks! The location of the resort is superb...about 20 Kms south of the town of Valemount nestled between the Rockies mountains. Great place to base your Rockie Mountain Adventure. Hike in the surrounding mountains, explore the creek right out in front of the lodge and cabins. Relax inside the lodge made of natural log or outside in the hot tub while admiring the mountains in the background. You can't help but feel relaxed at this place. Thanks to Lisa and Terry for the awesome service!

Wow what an awesome backdrop for a wonderful stay. The mountains all around and great views of the glacier from our bedroom. While travelling in August with a friend who is a senior we stayed at Summit River Lodge. Our host Terry was so welcoming and accommodating. He even made us dinner when we arrived late and didn't want to return to Valemont to eat. The room was beautiful. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept on in a long time. I will be recommending this lodge to all my friends. We liked it so much, we stayed there again on our return trip for 2 days.

Chris and Michelle are the best. We feel so at home there...they are very easy going and the meals are like mom's home cooking. Last year they did a birthday party for us(with loot bags and all). We behaved like a bunch of kids and they put up with it. Couldn't ask for nicer people.

- Bryan & Marylyn Martin, from Stony Plain, AB 4 March 2013

We love Chris and Michelles bed and breakfast! We go often.... Skidooing with friends and family. We took our two boys skiddoing ages 5 and 10, the were very kid friendly, tonnes of food, clean rooms and friendly!!!

Nice hot tub for after a long day of sledding :)))

I stayed here every time I went to Vale last winter. By far the best bang for your buck at $99/night with three meals a day. Great food with a great atmosphere. Definitely check it out.

We booked last minute to stay here while on a road trip to Saskatchewan. Our original plans were to stop in Edmonton on our return trip but we enjoyed our first overnight so much that we drove right through Edmonton and onto Valemount so we could get have a second night. Chris and Michelle are amazing. Friendly, helpful and generally lovely and approachable people. Nice open games/visiting room, comfortable bedrooms, very clean and incedible views. Oh.. and Chris' breakfasts are to die for! We'll definitely return for another stay.

Chris and Michelle are Awesome. we always stay here when traveling from GP to Kelowna. they have a room with 3 beds which is great for traveling with our kids. There is a train that goes in front of the building...but that's pretty much the same everywhere in the park.

Breakfast is fantastic and for a family of 5 pretty much pays for half the room rate. You also get to eat breakfast staring out at a giant glacier and if you're in the right season dozens of humming birds.

We have stayed at Summit River Lodge on several occasions and very much appreciate the homey atmosphere, home-cooked meals and the friendly staff. They really make you feel at home and the accomodations are great. Looking forward to another stay this September. See you then!!

This place was awesome, there is not one thing that should be changed, any change to it would be heart breaking, the food was an 11 out of 10, the beds are great, Chris & Michele know the area and are ready to answer questions about any area around , don't ever change, you guys are what makes it worth staying there, you guys leave and i wont got back there, and i know a few others that feel the same way, cant wait to see ya next month

- Ryan Phibben, from Fort Mcmurray 9 January 2011

unfortunately, we could only stay the one night, but it was great. We stayed in our small motorhome and were welcomed by Chris with his hawk friend. He was friendly and most helpfull "I know how you got the fire going Chris". Went swiming, well mostly wading, right by the beaver lodge. The water was pure and cold and my grandaughter collected it for their evening hot chocolate. The coins on the railway tracks were a thrill for the girls and a great reminder of our stay there. We will return there if ever out this way again. Great place.

I want to take a minute to thank Chris & Michelle for their awesome service. Myself and 2 others were there March 13-16 2009. The food was awesome, nice and clean, and good humour. Chris and Michelle go out of there way to serve everyone which is not easy holding 20 plus people this weekend. And still have ther own chores to do. I look forward to coming back next year. cheers Q

Excellent spot, great food, awesome host. It feels like home!!

- Rycroft Sled Crew, from Rycroft ,AB 2 December 2008

Chris & Michele are wonderful hosts. They made our stay very enjoyable. The place is like home where the children could play inside and outside whenever they like. They could spend hours in the garden near the pond. The view is superb. Thank you so much.

I just viewed your virtual tour and I have to just tell you that my parents and brother and sisters built the log home.Much of it looks the same. How long has it been since Bill and Connie owned the lodge? My bedroom window looked out at Albreda Glacier.I have not been back to Valemount for 6 years and am coming through in the beginning of Aug.Possibly my family and I will stop in for a visit..
