From the moment I made the reservation to stay at Tyn-y-Coed I was looking forward to meeting Carol and Rod. And when we arrived we were treated to a warm welcome and Carol was very accommodating to us returning late, as we were spending the day with our kids who were camping at Herald Park. The home is so beautifully decorated and Rod told us the history of the property. The bedroom is so comfortable, the breakfast so delicious, but the best part, Carol & Rod. Beautiful people!!

We slept out on the second floor enclosed porch attached to our bedroom. So lovely waking to the birds. Warm duvet kept us toasty in the morning, it was warm at night in Aug. Spent time just sitting in the yard and on the porch which very serene with lovely flower beds. A few mosquitoes in the morning, just cover up. Very warm and welcoming couple who made an effort to make our visit to Salmon Arm interesting. No lock on the bedroom door but it felt safe. Breakfast was delicious with local organic ingredients. 4 stars. Forgot to ask the meaning of the name. They request no smoking or drinking alcohol which is fine with us but may matter to some.

We had a lovely time. The atmosphere was splendid. The room was clean and very spacious. The breakfasts were amazing. The proprietors were kind and hospitable. The setting was calm, laid back and comfortable. A feeling of being in the country, while being close to all the local attractions. It was the perfect gift. We are looking forward to our next visit

From the moment I made the reservation to stay at Tyn-y-Coed I was looking forward to meeting Carol and Rod. And when we arrived I was treated to amazing hospitality, warm welcome, and felt like I had to come home. I was transported back to a Victorian era with the flowers and linens. I admired the crisp, white beauty of the all the rooms and decor each titled Peace, Joy, Light, and White. The country charm and amazing immaculate grounds made me run barefoot through the grass. The breakfast the next day was delicious as we sampled fresh fruit, homemade jams, and scrambled eggs topped up with fresh herbs and marigolds and toast. The hosts are beautiful, caring, delightful people and I felt like I had known them forever. My sons took to them as they would Grandparents and are anxious to return to their lovely home. This beautiful B&B is the best reason to go to Salmon Arm, BC. We will definitely be back and we will bring my husband next time. Thank you Carol and Rod for the delightful experience of your company and kindness. Namaste my wonderful new friends. ????

In June 2011, my family stayed here and had a wonderful time. Carol & Rod were very friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was just so delicious and the portions very generous! The whole house is beautifully decorated and clean. I would recommend this B&B anytime.

I have stayed here many times. There can't be anything better than the warm and loving hospitality Rod and Carol Hostman offer and if you can beat her cooking then let me know!

Truely a walk back in time. If you enjoy country decor without a trace of modern, crisp, white, fluffy pure cotton linens, handmade soaps, fresh cut flowers, the late evening sun on an old fashioned covered porch, a hearty breakfast made with local fresh food, and hosts that take the time to talk and get to know their guests, then you are in for a special treat. On a cold winter day in Edmonton we will daydream of returning for a visit to Tyn-y-Coed. Simply the sweetest B&B we have ever visited. But shhh, don't tell too many people!

- Joy and Guy Thaller, from Edmonton 17 August 2010

The best b&b we'd experienced. Rooms are immaculately clean & comfort. Breakfast? Umm Dinner is more likely. Just perfect!! Both Carole & Rod are super friendly. Their effort to satisfy our needs is 200%. They treat us not as guests, but as long time friends. Highly recommend this B&B.

We love Tyn-Y-Coed B&B! Been there 3 times always on route to Vancouver.

Carole is very friendly & her breakfasts are wonderful - especially the scrambled eggs!

Beds are so comfy & it's such a beautiful, serene location! I'd recommend it to anyone.
