Karen and George were wonderful hosts. The location of the Runaway Roost was superb as it was just on the edge of town, in the middle of the PEC area which made travelling in any direction to explore, simple. The B&B was impeccable. We stayed in the Roost which was quiet, comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed great conversation with our hosts over hearty and delicious breakfasts. Karen's list of recommendations for eateries, breweries and wineries were fantastic. We systematically plucked our way through as many venues as time would permit, pecking at all the tantalizing dishes and drinks on the various menus. Overall, an eggcellent experience. We're looking forward to flying the city coop for our "nest" getaway. Lisa and Dave (London)

Last week we stayed at the Runaway Rooster for two nights. We stayed in the Roost, definitely worth the extra money. Karen and George are superb hosts! The room was beautiful, with the extra feature of a little balcony off the bedroom. Everything was spotless, and the decor was warm and inviting. The great room where we could sit in the evening was so cozy. And there were so many different places in their beautiful expansive yard where you could sit and relax. We were treated to a fantastic breakfast both mornings. Karen and George pay so much attention to detail. They are superb hosts, ensuring that all your needs are met, and are also very helpful with any questions you might have about the area. The Runaway Rooster is ideally located in Bloomfield, with restaurants and shops located nearby, as well as bike rentals.

We were so impressed by Karen and George's warm hospitality as well as their beautiful home. We were thoroughly spoiled with a hearty breakfast each morning and lots of advice and assistance with arrangements for our stay in Prince Edward County. We recommend this very highly and would love to stay here again.

Karen and George are a most congenial and accommodating host and hostess. Our family of 8 booked the guest cottage as well as 2 of the 3 bedrooms in the home. We enjoyed gathering in the great room of this fine cedar log home,to enjoy our wake up coffee;s prior to a delicious breakfast. Situated with in walking distance to the downtown shopping area as well as just steps away from a new fine dining restaurant , 'The Flame and Smith' We shall always stay with Karen and George when in the County.

We had a lovely stay in the Roost Room. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. Karen and George were great hosts -- helping us with restaurant choices and planning our bike ride -- and prepared a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommended!

What a lovely BnB! Karen was a great host and I could not have asked for more. The house is beautiful and has lots of yard space and places to sit and relax outside. Sitting outside by the fire pit at night and looking up at all the stars was incredible. It is also on the main st through town so you are walking distance to many restaurants and shops! The included breakfast was amazing and I will be back for more.

Thanks for a comfortable stay, Lindsay & Oksana

Karen was a lovely hostess. We enjoyed our stay in this charming home. Lots of room to be outside on verandas or in the spacious downstairs grand room. Loved the quiet AC in the room. Large window to open if desired as well. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh fruit, scones, tomatoes and pastries and jams.

Fantastic stay in PEC. We enjoyed two sensational nights at the Runaway Rooster and our hosts were loveley caring for us. Great breakfast for a good start into a nice day. The huge living-room lets you dream of a 5 star hotel and everything was perfect, no doubt. Thank you Karen and George for the wonderful time.

Just spent an unforgettable weekend at Runaway Rooster in Bloomfield. A veritable French countryside gem in the heart of Prince Edward County. Breakfasts were gastronomical delight, and our bedroom loft was exquisitely appointed with luxurious bed and furnishings. Owners George and Karen laid out spacious welcome mat; so friendly and knowledgeable about restaurants, wineries and the best the County has to offer. Can't wait to return in near future.
