The Magpie Downtown is at Richter and Bernard. If arriving by car on Highway 97, turn north towards Knox Mtn from the Highway. Proceed until you have crossed Bernard at the United Church/Safeway/French Cultural Centre corner. The Magpie is the sage coloured heritage house on the right ( the first house beyond Bernard). Turn into the lane way and find your parking space to the left, behind the house. If arriving by plane or bus, travel via the city bus system to the Queensway Exchange. Walk south on Ellis to Bernard. Turn left on Bernard ( away from the lake), and walk up a few blocks to Richter. Cross Richter and then turn left to walk to the sage coloured house with the great big elm tree arching up and over the house.
