This is probably the loveliest b&b I've ever stayed in. Spacious, airy, sunny and pleasant rooms, a comfortable bed and very nice en-suite washroom. And friendly, and generous hosts who are very knowledgeable about what's happening in the Windsor area. It's nice to have a separate entrance in case you are returning late. Highly recommended!

- Chris G., from Toronto 22 June 2018

This is one of the nicest B&Bs I have ever stayed at. Very roomy and it has two balconies. We received a great recommendation for supper. Sue and Troy were delightful company.

We were on a trip to Fort Wayne, Indiana but look forward to returning to explore the Windsor area. Hidden Gem B&B will be our base.

Clean, Quiet and in the heart of Windsor. Hosts are attentive, excellent and genuine. Recommend to all and look forward to my subsequent visits.

Myself and my fiance spent a weekend at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast! We stayed in the Loft, which was super cozy and homey, we felt so comfortable there. Breakfast both mornings was amazing. We loved that we had options as to what we could eat, and being vegetarians, there was no issue accommodating us. Troy and Sue are very knowledgeable about the city and the Bed & Breakfast is located in one of the best areas of the city, Walkerville. We will be back and highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

It was really a nice time to stay there. Sue and Troy Brian are the most hospitable people that I have met. They provided all the information we needed to get around Windsor. You may feel just like staying with old friends in this place. Their home was so comforting and would stay there again.

We had the pleasure of staying with Sue and Troy on a Monday evening. Although we arrived late (9:30pm), Sue warmly welcomed us and showed us our beautiful room. It was HUGE! A bedroom with an attached breakfast room AND sitting room AND bathroom. Everything was spotless and I appreciated the toiletries that were provided (lotion, etc.) We had to leave early-ish the next morning to attend our daughter's swim meet. Again, they were so accommodating: had breakfast ready early for us, and it was absolutely delicious: my omelette was packed with veggies and the fruit salad was chopped into nice small bites. They even sent us off with a bag of wonderful, freshly baked cookies. They also saved us a trip to the hardware store on a rushed morning: when our daughter called asking us to bring duct tape, Troy appeared with a roll of tape and insisted we take it. We very highly recommend these hosts and their lovely home!

We enjoyed a lovely overnight at the Hidden Gem. It was easy to find, parking was handy and it is a short walk to the river. Troy and Sue were wonderfully accommodating and helpful. The suite was spacious and very welcoming. We slept soundly in the comfortable bed and were treated to an amazing breakfast we chose from several excellent options. Troy and Sue have thought of every small detail to make their guests stay at The Hidden Gem an experience you will want to repeat!

This B & B was a delight to stay at. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding residential area was clean and well lit at night. It was centrally located within easy walking distance of several good restaurants. The breakfast was excellent - individualized and varied. An added bonus was the off-street parking.

- Donna and Paul, from London, Ontario 15 February 2018

This was a great place for me to stay when I had to go into Windsor for a brief client meeting. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station to the B&B and then just a 20 minute walk to my meeting location at Caesars Windsor.

The guest room was extremely spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The breakfast choices were plentiful and delicious.

A nice touch that I have never seen before was a welcome sign, with my name hand- written on it on my bedroom door! It wasn't a big thing but certainly a nice touch!

I've stayed in lots of B&Bs over the years and this one has to rank up on the top! The rate was very fair!

A Hidden Gem B&B is really a Hidden Gem! WE had a delightful time staying in the Green Room. The room was cheery and spacious and the breakfast the next morning was outstanding. Sue and Troy were wonderful hosts and we enjoyed playing with Romeo, the new kitten. We will be returning to Hidden Gem the next time we come back to Windsor. The biggest challenge was the road construction around the home but hopefully it will be resolved the next time we visit.

This a lovely place to stay while in the Windsor area. There are no details overlooked to make sure your time spent in this beautiful B & B is not perfect. The hosts are extremely helpful. I have not had such a wonderful breakfast in a very long time. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Windsor. I will definitely be back.

Truly a gem of a home as are the host couple. Comfort, space and welcoming beyond my expectation. Susan was very helpful regarding transportation information for us. Breakfast was very delicious. Looking for excuse to return to Windsor to stay and visit with them again. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Hidden Gem on August 23, 2017. We stayed for 1 night on our way to Niagara Falls the following day. We stayed in the Loft Room. This was a very wonderful experience. The room was very roomy, neat and clean. Sue was very accommodating and even had hot chocolate chip cookies out of the oven upon our arrival. The location is great and walking distance to Sculpture Park along the Detroit River as well as many restaurants nearby. The breakfast was just wonderful Sue prepared. She gave you selections to pick from and you placed your order the night before. Coffee was a local blend and very good. We will for sure make a return trip just to stay and relax at the Hidden gem in Windsor. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

A wonderful B&B that has thought of everything a guest may need. We stayed for two nights in The Loft. The room is spacious, relaxing and inviting. The location in Windsor/Essex area is perfect for enjoying the area or viewing some sights in the States. Owners, Troy and Sue are the perfect hosts. We enjoyed conversations over breakfast about themselves and the area. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure you enjoy the stay in their B&B and the area. Definitely a must stay in the area. Thank you again for the wonderful weekend!

- Nicole & David Lake, from Canton, OH, USA 20 August 2017

My loft was absolutely perfect - so cozy! After spending the day with local friends, it was the perfect place to return for the night. I highly recommend Hidden Gem.

Breakfast was fabulous! Will definitely stay there again on our annual trip to Windsor.

A Hidden Gem B&B was absolutely fabulous. The room was delightful, the location perfect and the food delicious. Sue and Tony are wonderful hosts and have a true treasure to share.

- Cathy, from California, USA 21 July 2017

A Hidden Gem had everything we wanted for our stay in Windsor: quiet location, spacious room(s), excellent balcony(s), helpful owners (Sue and Troy), excellent food, comfortable bed - what more could we need? Well, the breakfast was not just an excellent start to the day and totally delicious but it was also a social event. Nowhere have I ever spent a full hour at the breakfast table talking and eating! Such a revelation and so much learned about the area. Thanks to Sue and Troy for making our stay a great one.

From the moment we arrive, we knew that we had made the perfect choice for our 4 nights in Windsor. We Cannot say enough about our host Sue and Troy, they are welcoming caring and very organized hosts. Everything was perfect our beautiful suite was clean inviting and charming, with all amenities that you need for a comfortable stay. The breakfast was so delicious with generous portions, with your choice of a different menu everyday. We enjoyed very much our morning conversations with Sue and Troy also with their guest who was repeat guest. Sue and Troy was always available for any of our needs, making us feel like home. On our last morning we had to catch an early train to Toronto, so Sue and Troy had packed a beautiful breakfast to go, including the "BEST EVER" Egg and Ham & cheese English muffin that we ever ate! I think after eating this delicious Egg muffins from Sue and Troy kitchen, I cant ever order an Egg muffin at Starbucks! Also not to forget the coffee to go and the chocolate cookies fresh out the oven + some fruits, all packed with attention to detail color plates, napkins etc .... The bag was decorated with ribbons, a breakfast pack for a Queen and King no Kidding! We will definitely be back in Windsor and stay with Sue and Troy, there is no hotel in Windsor that can get my business after experiencing the best hospitality that we received at A Hidden Gem .Cheers Lyne and Norm from Victoria BC "worldwide travelers"

Recently spent 2 nights here in the green room ... beautiful room and very comfortable. Breakfasts were delicious and the company of the hosts and other guests most enjoyable. Thanks Susan and Troy for your hospitality and whenever I have the opportunity to visit Windsor again I will most certainly stay at A Hidden Gem.

- Patti, from Guelph, ON 14 April 2017

We had the pleasure of being the guests of Susan and Troy during an overnight trip to Windsor. The hospitality, accommodations and the ambience were all first rate and we were made to feel welcome from the time we arrived. We were immediately led to our extremely spacious loft room that was so tastefully decorated, open and warm. The room was extremely well provided with a frig, a table and chairs in front of a window, a window seating / lounging area, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub and shower, and all amenities supplied, and a comfortable bed and flat screen TV. We were provided parking in the driveway and the entry door was coded so that it remained locked but gave access at all time. Prior to arriving we were supplied with an extensive restaurant and entertainment guide to the Walkerville area. Susan responded to any enquiries immediately. Within a 10 minute walk you had access to restaurants and some unique shopping. The breakfast provided by Susan and Troy was delicious and more than plentiful, and it was a pleasure to sit and talk with our fellow guest and both Susan and Troy. They are gracious hosts; are knowledgeable of the area and are very comfortable and natural as hosts. We enjoyed ourselves very much and look forward to returning in the future.....and I forgot to mention the Choclate Chunk cookies......amazing!

- John & Anne, from Stoney Creek 9 April 2017

Had a lovely stay in the loft bedroom on family day weekend. The location is fantastic as we were able to walk to the casino to see a show. Breakfast was awesome as well as the company. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we have booked again in May. Thanks Sue and Troy for sharing your home.

- Joanne and Jeff, from Cambridge, Ontario 28 February 2017

We and another couple stayed overnight at the Hidden Gem February 25 as we were in Windsor to attend a birthday celebration at Caesar's Casino a short walk away. The riverfront is also only a short walk as are nice shops, etc... We had both the green room and loft booked and both were very nicely appointed and spacious. The green room is quite large with windows all around with two large sitting areas and two separate porches. The loft is smaller but quite cosy and comfortable also with sitting areas. Sue and Troy are great hosts and we really enjoyed our time there. Breakfast was really good and so much food! Next time we are in the Windsor area we will definitely prefer to stay at the Hidden Gem. Overall a highly recommended reasonably priced relaxing getaway that sure beats a hotel.
