We loved our stay at Tailwinds B&B , we got a very warm welcome at the door and right away felt like it was home away from home. They invited us into the dining room stopped whatever they were doing and took the time to sit and chat with us with a nice hot cup of coffee. We were invited to join them in the puzzle room to sit and help with the puzzle and had lots of fun and chatted about anything and everything, it was like we new them forever. The breakfast the next morning was all homemade and so delicious. My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much we would definitely go back. The owners get a 5 star from us and I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much to Trevor and Janet for the wonderful stay at there B&B we loved it?

Trevor and Janet,

Thank you again for a wonderful weekend at Tailwinds Bed and breakfast. Top notch hospitality! Your home is the perfect location for a peaceful and relaxing refuge away from the rigors of city life. It was the perfect place to kick off our annual cycling vacation as your location is close to several great road (and off road) trails. One of the charms of staying at a real bed and breakfast; is the breakfast and what an excellent breakfast it was. I forgot to mention, we had a Tailwind the entire way home from Owen Sound, a fitting conclusion to the adventure to say the least. Until the next time,

Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, reasonable prices and welcoming and warm hosts. We’ll definitely stay again next time we are in the area.

Thank you Janet & Trevor for your wonderful hospitality and fabulous breakfast. Lovely home with large comfortable bedroom and all the amenities. Quiet surroundings. Would definitely book again.

We used Tailwinds B&B as a launch and landing pad for a small cycling/camping trip with our two children, ages 2 and 4, one cold, wet, windy weekend in March. While the B&B offers beautiful accommodations in a beautiful natural setting, with an amazing breakfast; we were most impressed with the hosts, Janet and Trevor, and their genuine excitement to host our family and help facilitate our adventures. They are avid cyclists with lots of knowledge for the area, keen to share and support fellow riders any way they can. They were very happy to have our children running underfoot, made us all feel so welcomed, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, and more, both while we were out cycling and camping, and when we made it back to their place. The perfect spot for anyone wanting to do some cycling in the area. Thank you Janet and Trevor!

This was our second time staying with Janet and Trevor, and we had another fabulous stay! We love the house, and the bedrooms are large. We like the one with the ensuite bathroom. There are a lot of places to kick back...a den/TV room with a fireplace, a living room... and a really pretty solarium. The hosts are fabulous, and our breakfast this morning was totally amazing, with everything from sausages, eggs, frittatas and croissants, all home made, to fruits, juices, and home made preserves. We love Tailwinds and will be back!

We stayed at Tailwinds B&B in October and were blown away by the beauty and hospitality of this bed and breakfast. Trevor and Janet were the best hosts ever and we truly had such a great time and felt so comfortable in their home! The breakfast was unbelievably delicious too! The surrounding area is very beautiful and we enjoyed exploring it; definitely we are planning to return next year with our bicycles and probably our motorcycles too! Thank you again Trevor and Janet!

We stayed at Tailwinds B&B for a 5 day stay (Wed-Mon) while visiting my Mom in Hillsburgh. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, be it the King-sized bed and spa-like bathroom or the generous breakfasts they served us. Janet was more than happy to meet our dietary needs (vegan and gluten intolerance) treating us to many tasty dishes!!

I would recommend this B&B to anyone who is looking for a nice relaxing stay. Located in the countryside, it is very quiet and peaceful – within walking distance to a great walking/cycling trail.

If you have a chance, don’t forget to ask Trevor about his passion for cycling. Both Trevor and Janet are very personable - ambassadors to the local area.

We had heard good things about this new B&B in Erin, Ontario, so when my husband and I, along with another couple, booked a getaway, we chose Tailwinds. Am I ever glad we did! From the second we arrived we knew we had made an excellent choice. We were greeted by Trevor, one of the owners, who served us a lovely charcuterie board and other snacks in the dining room. He gave us the low down on everything, and we spent the rest of the rainy afternoon in the solarium, just talking, drinking wine and watching the rain pound the beautiful glass ceiling and windows. There was a yoga mat and some weights, in case we wanted a little workout (there is a cycling studio in the garage, I think), and a chest full of blankets to keep us cozy. Trevor gave us some great dinner suggestions in town, too. Later in the evening we again enjoyed the hospitality of Trevor and Janet, his wife and other owner. This B&B has everything you could possibly want. The house itself is large and cozy at the same time, with the guest bedrooms being spacious. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms have seating areas, and all kinds of homey touches. We had an ensuite bathroom, which was also large, with everything we required and more. The main floor has three rooms you can hang out in: the living room, with a TV and fireplace, the solarium, where we spent most of our time, and another den-type room, perfect for reading. The dining room is large, and our continental breakfast spread was great, with fruits, homemade muffins, cereal, yogurt, toast, and lots more. On the weekends, apparently, they cook a full hot breakfast. The highlight of our breakfast was the amazing honey a friend of theirs makes (and has won awards for), and we were given samples to bring home. Another nice touch! Outdoors, too, there are many great areas to sit and relax, with a hammock, and a pond. Had the weather been better we definitely would have taken advantage of the Elora Cataract Trailway on bikes or on foot, because the path is right there! Trevor and Janet are well-connected in the area, and they know lots of places to eat, shop and do things. This place is gorgeous, yet warm and friendly. We had a great time, loved our hosts, and will be back!

We attended a family wedding at Cambium Farms and this B&B was PERFECT for this reason !! The whole experience was over the top. From the initial booking, to the warm welcome, spending fun times with Trevor & Janet during our spare time, making lifetime friends, delicious delicious breakfasts, luxurious accommodations, along with going over and above the call of duty with those extra needed & wanted things. Always so willIng to accommodate. We will always remember and talk about our wonderful experience with Tailwinds. Thank you so much again.

Trevor and Janet were lovely hosts, and all the attention to detail made for a lovely and very comfortable stay. The location was lovely (walk-able to dining and groceries), the breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the stay was very clean and quiet. Recommended for your stay in rural Ontario!

Lovely visit to Tailwinds! We had a wonderful, private room with ensuite in the house which is situated on a pretty property next to the TransCanada trail. The welcoming chaucuterie board for two was a pleasant surprise and Janet's breakfast was excellent. Thank you both for taking great care of Jackson while we were attending our party.

My family and I had a great weekend at Tailwinds. Breakfast was delicious and our kids ate it all up. Our hosts were generous, considerate, and very welcoming. They showed us the trails nearby and gave us recommendations for restaurants and entertainment.

The area is cycling heaven. If you want to introduce friends or family to cycling without the trouble of busy roads and large mass start events, this is the way to do it.

Clean, comfortable, accommodating, beautiful. Highly recommended.
