We had an entirely enjoyable stay with Tassie and Herman. The location was ideal for visiting Twillingate, Beothuk site and staging for the crossing to Fogo Island. We felt comfortable and relaxed in this home away from home. We were blessed to be invited to their Thanksgiving spread. Well done Tassie and Herman!

- Anonymous, from Bloomfield Hills Michigan 21 December 2018

We had a fantastic time with Herman and Tassie at this beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The Bed and the Breakfast were both wonderful. And we were treated like good friends, not just customers. We would highly recommend Shoreline. I appreciated being able to do our laundry as well. There just didn't seem to be anything they wouldn't do to make our stay the best possible.

- Laurie and Don, from Millgrove, Ontario 30 June 2018

We stayed for one night on 2 separate occasions and were very pleased with our stay! We booked the Shoreline as a location close to the Fogo ferry, in order to maximize our time on Fogo Island. Right from our first contact with Herman, nothing was too much trouble. Their home is extremely clean and tidy. The South Room was very nice, with 1/2 bath ensuite (it was a little warm on our first night, but a fan was there to take the edge off.) We had an evening snack (banana bread is delicious!) and Tassie cooked a lovely full breakfast for us on both occasions. They even gave us some snacks to take for the road!

- Paul, from St. John's, NL 18 September 2017

All B&B’s should be like the Shoreline. After they rescued us from the hwy, where we got lost, they gave us free reign of their home. “Need a snack in the middle of the night? no problem! Just open the fridge and help yourself.” Just like at home. No limits or restrictions. Amazing place to stay. I would recommend three nights with the Shoreline B&B. First day explore Twillingate. Second day walk onto Fogo island ferry and take a bus tour. This B&B is located perfectly to enjoy your visit here with friendly hosts.

- The Ireland's, from Edmonton, Alberta 5 September 2017

A very pleasant experience. The hosts Herman and Tassie were exceptional and exceeded expectations that are generally common to B & B operations. I highly recommend it for the peaceful setting and highly professional service. Our stay was for 7 nights and we were made to feel like family.

- Pastor Everett & Philomena Flight, from Peterborough, Ontario 11 August 2017

Hermann and Tassie were the greatest hosts. The room and home were beautiful and well kept. The breakfasts were awesome and our hosts could not do enough for you. Would recommend this home to anyone.

- Joe & Amber Wogrinc, from Medicine Hat , Alberta 3 August 2017

Herman and Tassie are the most welcoming, accomodating, and friendly hosts we've had the pleasure to meet during our stay in NFL! The home and room are clean, spacious and quiet. The bed was amazingly comfortable and breakfast was simply divine. Highly recommended for those traveling through to Twillingate or Fogo Island.

- Christine, from Timmins 15 June 2017

Herman and Tassie are most welcoming. It is truly a home away from home. I have already recommended staying here to others who are coming to this area later this season.

- Deb & Ed, from Ontario 14 June 2017

Thank you Herman and Tassie for a delightful stay. Everything was great...breakfast, homemade jams, comfy beds, beautiful views... I would stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who will be in this area.

- Ann & Don, from Port Stanley, ON 10 June 2017

I am a young female solo traveler, and had been on the road through Newfoundland and Labrador (mostly camping) almost a month before stumbling on this beautiful gem of a place. The owners, Herman and Tassie, are among the kindest, most hospitable people I have ever met. They have such great inside knowledge of Twilingate and Fogo, and I really appreciated the hiking trail map of Twilingate they gave me, since that was my main activity and it showed me exactly where to go to find all the best trails. The rooms are STUNNING. I stayed in the West room, and it was beautifully furnished, cozy, clean, and comfortable. Seriously, I've never slept in a more comfy bed! Tassie makes the best homemade banana bread I have ever eaten, and it makes for a delicious evening snack. We (myself, Tassie, Herman, and their local friends) sat around the kitchen table and chatted over tea and sweets that evening and I could not have felt more at home. The breakfast the next morning was amazing as well! I cannot recommend this place enough. I will definitely be back the next time I venture along the North shore of Newfoundland. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness!

- Véronica S, from PEI 3 June 2017

The service and the decorations of the rooms were outstanding. I wouldn't change anything about this beautiful bed and breakfast.

- Vicky Zacharias, 21 May 2017

First off, sorry for the late review. My wife and myself spent a night at Shoreline back in August and was overwhelmed by the hospitality, great food and the great accommodations that was provided on short notice. The host and hostess were very knowledgeable on the local area and it's history. If you are looking for a comfy, clean B&B, with great scenery and good people.... I highly recommend Shoreline B&B Thanks, Karen and Darrin By Darrin Smith

Herman warmly welcomed us to the hospitality of his home. We spent a very comfortable evening there. Tassie produced a delicious breakfast. Our stay was brief but very enjoyable.

- Jim and Mary, from Toronto, ON 12 October 2016

Shoreline B&B is a lovely place to stay. Our room had a half bath and the room had all the comforts and amenities you could possibly want, and then some, from dvd players with dvd's in the room. couch and small touches like a tooth brush holder. There was access to water, juice and soda, a fantastic full cooked breakfast with choice, tea and muffins when we arrived. The owners were lovely and most accommodating in every way. And to cap it off, when they discovered I had left my kindle behind, we had just arrived at the ferry terminal to depart for Fogo Island. They called us and said they would leave immediately and meet us half way to give us the Kindle so we wouldn't miss the ferry. When I tried to give him money for gas, he refused and just said, "Pay it forward." Above and beyond the call of duty. A place we will definitely go back.

- Anonymous, from St. John's, Newfoundland 25 September 2016

Amazing place to stay. Room very comfortable delicious food and. very friendly hosts. Certainly a home away from home.

- Joyce Pritchett, from CBS , NL 18 September 2016

Great place, very clean with a warm welcome and filling breakfast. The only bb we stayed at that had luggage racks!

- Ann, from Victoria, Canada 25 August 2016

Really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was great and included lots of homemade goodies. Beautiful home with wonderful and very helpful owners.

- Liz and Bob, from Comox BC 25 August 2016

After a long day exploring, Shoreline B & B was a welcome refuge. Peaceful, spacious, beautifully decorated and cared for. Our room (East) had a very comfortable bed plus thoughtful extras like bath robes, arm chair, electric woodstove. Guests have their own sitting area with stereo, books, dvds or can join Tassie and Herman downstairs. And Tassie's breakfast was exceptional. All homemade, of course. Starters of fresh fruit salad and yogurt, eggs any way desired, delicious baked beans (I'd love the recipe!) and the best jams we'd encountered yet. For anyone left hungry (!) there were also two kinds of muffins and banana bread. Tassie insisted we take some with us to snack on, and I'm so glad we did (despite almost leaving the bag behind!). Thanks Tassie for rescuing it - everything was absolutely delicious. And by-the-way, Herman has very good taste in slippers - we almost took them by mistake(grin).

- Jennifer & Glen Smith, from Duncan BC 25 August 2016

Herman and Tassie are amazing - our stay with them was perfect. From our initial greeting to our final farewell, we felt at home. The room was private and quaint - and the bed was so comfy - the breakfast was beyond our expectations and completely filled us for the day - Herman and Tassie shared Newfoundland recipes - and they worked together as a wonderful team. On our rating it is 10 out of 10. Thank you Tassie and Herman. We hope to return to see you again.

- Betty, from Ontario 17 August 2016

My wife and I had a beautiful experience staying with Tassie and Herman. Our room was really nice and they made beautiful breakfasts. We stayed for three nights, and wish we could have stayed longer. They were ideally located to explore the area. We're looking forward to returning to Newfoundland in the future and would love to stay with these beautiful people again. Michael

- Michael, from Ontario 17 August 2016

- Natalie et Michel, from La Suisse 14 August 2016

These people were very helpful in giving us directions to their place. The house looked like new and our hosts were very friendly. Our room had our own deck with bbq, our own washroom (with shower)and our own tv. Breakfast was awesome (homemade jam & bread). The price was very, very reasonable. We plan on going back. I would recommend this place.

- Paul & Fern Maedel, from Thedford, Ontario 14 August 2016

My fiance and I came here on a cross Newfoundland tour after two days camping in Gros Morne. Herman and Tassie welcomed us in and gave us a beautiful room to stay in allowing us to enjoy the comforts of civilisation. Herman gave us a great suggestion for dinner as well! They are very knowledgeable about the area! I urge everyone to stay here and enjoy the hospitality!

- Joel, from Hamilton Ontario 11 August 2016

Was lucky enough to stay two nights with Herman and Cassie Great location for striking out to twillingate or Fogo. We were treated like royalty by two knowledgeable and professional Hosts Classy operation modern spotless home can't wait to go back

- dave kathy and william, from port perry ontario 10 August 2016

W O W!! It was a last minute decision, that was serendipitous! Tassie and Herman are so hospitable, warm and inviting, that you just don't want to leave! Incredibly clean, easy to get to, and spacious! FANTASTIC breakfast, homemade jams are superb....so I'd the banana bread (Tassie, I took a little nibble! Couldn't resist) Easy to get to Twillingate as well as Fogo from this place. You won't regret staying here!

- Shannon Callaghan, from ottawa, canada 8 August 2016

We had a great stay here in July. Herman and Tassie were so welcoming - Herman even drove out to meet us when we got lost on the way in! It is down a side road, but not hard to find if you follow the directions properly! Our room was lovely - quiet and comfortable. Just what we needed at that point in our trip. And we so enjoyed lingering over our delicious breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

- Lauren, from Calgary, Alberta 6 August 2016

We enjoyed our overnight stay at this secluded, but very well-equipped bed and breakfast. A lovely breakfast was served. Having the bedroom right adjacent to the kitchen was a little bit of a downer, but overall this B&B was superb...!

- Heinrich and Carina, from Edmonton 6 August 2016

It would be difficult to find more welcoming and helpful hosts. The breakfasts were terrific and always tea and coffee available, and a snack. It is in a rural setting so you cannot count on pefect internet access, like much of NL, and the road to the house is difficult. But once inside, you will find a down- home B and B atmosphere. Our room was comfortable and everything spotlessly clean. Excellent value.

- Anonymous, 4 August 2016

We had a very pleasant night at Shoreline. Herman and Tassie made us feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and ample. We would definitely stay with them again.

- Sam and Karin Neely, from Ottawa, ontario 2 August 2016

- Gerald & Mary Walsh, from Marystown, NL 30 July 2016

Great bed and breakfast. Good location - we went to Twillingate one day and Fogo Island another. Herman and Tassie were very professional, friendly, warm and helpful. Very clean. Extra touches that make it exceptional (e.g. bottled water, selection of breakfast items, ocean front. Shared bathroom.

- The McDonalds, from Alberta 28 July 2016

Super clean & tidy, with walking access to Boyd's cove beach. Close to Beothuk centre and awesome hiking trails. In between ferry to Fogo & Twillingate, and close to delicious seafood restaurant 'Doyles'. Tessie and Herman are 'over the top' kind hosts, who offer a fountain of local information.(including Primeberth) who took us out to see the icebergs! ) Delicious home cooked breakfasts with lots of options. We loved our experience at Shoreline B&B! Thankyou!!!

- Jill Kitchen, from Chicago, Illinois 27 July 2016

A great location! Shoreline B&B is home away from home. Breakfast was excellent and the hosts kind, friendly and very accommodating.

hi...we stayed at shoreline recently while iceberg hunting last month .....excellent stay...we will stay again... fantastic hosts

- Stewart Cochrane, from Pasadena 20 July 2016

Stayed at Shoreline Thursday night. Herman & Tassie are great Hosts. You can certainly tell they love what they do. Everything was perfect. Just to be able to do laundry there is an added bonus not afforded by all. They are so obliging and are great cooks. Great choices on the menu. Would highly recommend.

- Blair Bailey, from BOBCAYGEON, Canada 17 July 2016

We spent two pleasant nights with Herman and Tassie. Nice clean rooms, great breakfast a-la-carte. Quiet and peaceful location - don't be deterred by the road in. An easy scenic 20 minute drive to Twillingate. When we were there it was unusually hot but a fan in our room cooled us off. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

- Pierre & Linda, from Ontario 13 July 2016

This stay at this b&b is gem for sure!! Herman and Tassie give you that home- like feeling. This is a couple that you would want for friends for life. So much so , I hope we can go back some day to visit. Definitely an uplifting experience. You will be glad you stayed here! Thank you for this journey!!

- Jim Trimble, from Belleville, Ontario, Canada 12 July 2016

What a beautiful B & B. We are an elderly couple and were treated with such kindness and respect. They gave us the main floor room with full ensuite so we wouldn't have to climb the stairs. Friendly conversation and great facilities. Breakfast was great and very tasty.

- Bryce and Edna Fudge, from La Scie, NL Canada 11 July 2016

We stayed here for the first time July 9th and was very impressed. We were late arriving and they met us at the door and ensured we were well settled in. The rooms are beautiful and very welcoming. Herman and Tassie were fabulous hosts. They ensured our every need was met. Breakfast included homemade bread, jam, beans and eggs and choice of meat. It was delicious and we could have had more if we wished. Highly recommend this B & B

- Gerald & Mary Walsh, from Marystown, NL 9 July 2016

We stayed at this B&B for 4 days and were treated like family even giving us a key to the house if they were not home. Tassie keeps the house spotless and makes homemade breads, muffins, loafs and jams that are served at breakfast and at the night-time gatherings. Herman is a great builder and storyteller, we enjoyed the gathering of all the guess as this gave us a chance to meet people from Canada and other countries. Thank you Tassie & Herman we give you a 5*****

- Jim & Anne Shearer, from Calgary, Canada 2 July 2016

We had a great overnight stay. The hospitality was wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. Very clean. The breakfast was amazing. We highly recommend this B & B. Thanks, Tassie and Herman.

- Karl and Toni Dreise, from Langley, B.C. 1 July 2016

I had a great stay in this quiet location. Although isolated it is not too far from Twillingate. I spent 2 nights there and found the hosts are very nice, helpful and generous. Breakfast is very hearty and the place is great value for money. There is also good Wi-Fi provided. If I was in the area again I would stay there for sure.

- hudson, from Australia 28 June 2016

We had a wonderful stay at Shoreline with hosts Herman and Tassie. They made us feel right at home and were always making sure we were comfortable. Our room was on the first floor and large and clean with a private washroom and a balcony door to a deck. It is a waterfront property with a short stroll down to the sandy beach. You are about 40 minutes from Twillingate and the Ferry to FOGO Island. The breakfasts were great with plenty of food choices. Would definitely stay here again.

- Eric and Karen, from Utopia, ON, Canada 28 June 2016

This is a wonderful B&B and Herman and Tassies make you feel right at home and are very accomodating and full of helpful information of the area. The home is beautiful and clean and we had 2 wonderful nights there this June, the 13th and 14th. The breakfast was hot and delicious. It is off the beaten path in a quiet rural setting and is only about 40 minutes to Twillingate. We would love to come back!

- Kathryn, from Edmonton, AB 27 June 2016

We stayed here three nights, and enjoyed every one. Herman and Tassie are great hosts, the rooms are spacious, breakfasts are cooked to order. Herman gave us good advice on walking trails, local history, their experiences. They went out of their way to educate us on unique Newfoundland food. Other guests were relaxed and we visited in the evenings and mornings. Look for their road signs for directions or phone them when you get close - our gps didn't have it right. We are delighted to recommend this B&B.

- Vic and Donna Janz, from Medicine Hat Alberta 19 June 2016

Wonderful B & B with very friendly hosts. Rooms are so nice, clean and comfortable. Will be going back.

- Rhonda & Ray, 16 June 2016

- Barb & Rudy Moses, from Saint John, Canada 13 June 2016

FANTASTIC BED AND BREAKFAST!!! The owners, Herman and Tassie Pelley, are the most caring hospitable people you could possibly meet! They have built a new home, furnished it gorgeously, are there to meet your any wish! They even got up early to cook a delicious hot breakfast for us so we could make the ferry to Fogo Island. And, Tassie bakes all sorts of breads, muffins, and makes jams just for the guests! They are TERRIFIC people . . and anyone would truly enjoy staying at their bed and breakfast! Additionally, it is close to the ferry to Fogo Island. You will indeed be fortunate if you book a stay at this lovely B & B. It IS A WINNER!

- Dotty and Dick Davis, from California 13 June 2016

- Corey, from St. Albert Alberta 1 February 2016

"The folks at the Shoreline B and B make you feel right at home. I was trying to get on the ferry for the first time to go to Fogo to see my boyfriend who was over there working. They cancelled the ferry and I was stranded and did not know what to do next. I drove all the way from St. John's, 5 hours, and I did not want to turn back. As I drove away with tears in my eyes I came upon a sign with a phone number for a B and B. I called and they helped me right away. They took me in, let me eat supper with them and made me feel right at home. It was a relief to find such nice people to keep me from feeling so sad and alone trapped on the other side of Fogo. It just so happened that the next day was my anniversary and this was the reason I did not want to turn back. The next morning there was a breakfast packed for me and fresh coffee made. I would recommend this place to anyone. Wonderful room, wonderful people. This was my beautiful room. I will bring back my family next summer. Thanks for the hospitality."

- Fayth Cooper, from St. Johns, Newfoundland 1 February 2016

"My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this location on Sat Aug 19, 2015. It was an amazing experience. We were late checking in, very tired, and hungry. We enjoyed a "Mug-Up" with Tassie and Herman (wonder if she gives away any of her recipes?), hot shower, and a lovely queen bed. In the morning, we enjoyed homemade bread, homemade perserves, fresh fruit, delicious coffee, as well as bacon, and eggs. What a treat. If you get the chance, stay here!!"

- Catherine Wareham, 1 February 2016
