Darren was a wonderful host. We awoke to a winter wonderland after an overnight snowfall. The room was warm and cozy and the atmosphere quiet and restful. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Peasant, cozy rooms with enough space for sitting comfortably or sleeping in sizeable soft beds. Delightful large high-ceiling eating area whose large windows have a nice vista of the wooded property with view of the lake beyond. Nice and warm inside while I was there despite the outside being below -20C. Easy access to town and amenities, not too far from the main highway (#11) but enough to be quiet. Will definitely be checking it out in the warmer weather too!

We stayed at Warbler's Roost over Christmas while visiting family in the area. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming -- even getting up very early on Christmas morning to have coffee ready for us, as well as a delicious continental breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, and the decor was new and fresh. The large common room, where we had breakfast, is a great place to relax, with comfy sofas and a lovely view towards the lake. I would definitely stay again!

We stayed at Warbler's Roost during a Christmas family reunion (mom'and dad's place was too small for all of us). It was a perfect place for the rest of us to stay. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, all brand new. The moose tracks, the walk by the lake and our host's stories of life in the north made us feel like we had our own northern adventure. Wonderful time, wonderful place, wonderful hosts.
