Sweet Treat: * Chocolate Pancakes ... indulgent chocolate pancakes served with fresh berries (some even from our own garden) homemade hot fudge sauce and real whipped cream...

Healthy Choice: *Eggs with Mesclun and Roasted Tomatoes ... soft/medium or hard boiled free run egg(s) with mesclun salad and oven roasted, herbed tomatoes... carb free

This menu is wonderful when the fresh berries and tomatoes are in season

We always serve warm home-baked items, fresh fruit, yogurt, homemade granola, juices and selection of coffees/teas to go along with our main entree...and you can choose from up to three main entrees (to accommodate the varying tastes of our guests) and love to use organic, natural and the best quality that we can find.

Hazelnut Crusted Nutella/Banana French Toast

Begin by crushing whole Hazelnuts (in large plastic bag with a wooden mallet)... prepare french toast egg/milk mixture... I like to use 1 egg per piece of french toast (I use homemade and thick cut slices of bread) this recipe calls for two pieces of french toast per person... then I add a good splash of cream, and a bit of vanilla, whisk... I soak the bread briefly as it is so fresh, but if it is older you could soak longer...to one piece of coated bread add the crushed hazelnuts (to one side only) place both slices in large frying pan on medium heat over a generous pat of butter (melted)...make sure to lay the nut crust down to cook first (really watch this as the nuts can burn easily) cook the one side of bread fully then flip over... to continue cooking the other side but now you are going to add the Nutella (chocolate/hazelnut spread) to each side of the cooked french toast (I use a generous tablespoon per side) then add your banana slices (you can reserve a couple slices for garnish, it takes about one medium banana per serving) by this time the other side of the french toast should be cooked... carefully flip the two sides together and serve with hazelnut crust on top, garnish and enjoy... good alone or with maple syrup...

Great anytime of the year...for kids I forgo the hazelnut crust... Enjoy

Farmer's sausage in a toasted Cinnamon Bun

you could use any cinnamon bun for this recipe (I used my homemade) toasted and buttered with a cooked farmer's sausage patty slide in... nice served with applesauce or caramelized apples if you have time

You can certainly enjoy this anytime of the year, but especially nice as the weather gets cooler
