- Margaret & Scott Martin, from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada 6 March 2014

Our daughter Cara was born with a rare heart condition, and spent her first month of life in Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. During that month, we were in and out of hotel rooms and having breakfast out every morning was something that got old after a few days! Having a place to stay like Haven of Hope, we can tell you, would have been a huge blessing to us. God still saw us through that difficult time and thankfully we also had a lot of support from family and friends. However, having gone through a time of stress and uncertainty, we know that Haven of Hope will be a great blessing for those who have the opportunity to stay there. Whether it’s just for one night, one week, or a whole month, the guests who stay at Haven of Hope Bed & Breakfast will experience the caring generosity of Dave & Daphne Bakker.
