My husband & I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend at this very rustic cabin. Ernst is a friendly and conscientious host who made us feel truly welcome.

10 out of 5 stars!!! Thank you Catherine & Ernst for your generous hospitality!Having the vision of moving a once loved home onto your property instead of being demolished is the ultimate in recycling!! It gave us much pleasure to come and experience a quiet & quaint place to stay & get the feeling of going back in time to a simplier lifestyle. The breakfast you served us was better then any restaurant anywhere! Farm fresh eggs, fluffy waffles, bacon, fresh fruit....too much to list, we had to waddle out of there! haha I look forward to coming back & staying at your little house on the prairie near Stettler, AB

We've stayed at Catherine and Ernst logde from 27th sep till 1th of oktober 2013. The family is very warm and welcoming and they did everything to make our stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. We had a fantastic time at the barn and both Catherine and Ernst made delicious breakfast with a big variety of food and drinks. The logde itself is beautifully decorrated and has all the essentials whats needed. We experciended the logde just like the little house on the prairy. It's the perfect gettaway to escape from hectic modern life and to enjoy qualitytime at the fireplace with a nice warm drink, play board games or reading a book. The lodge is also perfect for hunting, hiking and visiting dry island buffalo lake or the badlands. For restaurants and shopping Stettler is less than 10 minute drive away.

Most Awesome B&B anywhere!....the hosts were ultra amazing and as well the cottage as stated, restful, clean, peaceful and welcoming (and stayed warm). The hosts went beyond making one feel welcome and served outstanding meals. wow. All I can say is if you wish to unplug and refocus this the exact place to do it, whether a getaway by yourself or a romantic trip. The price you pay is the best anywhere as well, much prefer than staying in central Stettler. A REAL getaway. You drive a bit on gravel, but easy to find and not too bad. Highly highly recommend, best ever, thankyou Alders! Will never forget you, your kindness or great hospitality. :)

We spent 3 nights at Catherine and Ernst's place over the thanksgiving weekend and it was more than we could have ever asked for. The place was beautiful, serene, quaint and peaceful. Coming from the city, it is so nice to go to bed at night and hear absolutely no noise! The little house was very clean and warm, and the bed was very comfortable. The wood burning fire place was a big hit, we spent most of our time sitting in front of it with our books. :) We thoroughly enjoyed walking along the beautiful property, exploring and making friends with the farm animals! The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, we left each morning full of the most delicious food and were already looking forward to the following day's breakfast! We had brought a few things that required and oven to bake, and Catherine SO generously baked them for us each night - what a sweetheart! Ernst was kind enough to give us an ATV tour of the property, telling us all about how the canola, wheat and hay are farmed, and explained the cattle farming as well. We loved that he took the time out of his busy schedule to do that for us!

All in all, we would have to give this place 5 stars, there was not one thing less that perfect about the weekend. We cannot wait to come back! :)

I had a one night stay at this B&B, it was after the Stettler Murder Mystery train excursion on Saturday the September 7th, 2013. I have been to many B&B all over Canada and around the world. Being an avid traveler, it has been my personal choice to enjoy B&B accommodations. Nestled in the Pines is one of the best B&B accommodations I have ever been to. The beautiful Rustic Cabin ( an old house from 1900 ) decorated with lots of love and many unique details. The bed I slept on was very comfortable. The whole cabin was very clean. The surroundings were very peaceful, and pictures. I was addicted the quietness of the nature very fast, did not feel like leaving the place. The hosts Catherie and Ernst were very friendly and accommodating with small town charm. The breakfast included plentiful choices, including fresh berries, eggs, hash browns, bacon, waffles, maple syrup, yogurt, fresh cream, juice, tea and coffee. I very much enjoyed the breakfast and their company and meeting some of their family members. I very much recommend this B&B, would give them 5 out of 5 stars. You get a lot for your money. I am looking forward to go back and stay longer. Thank you for your hospitality Catherie and Ernst!
