Breakfast in your Room

Some guests like to eat their breakfast in their room or on their private deck. Some enjoy breakfast in the Lounge, sitting at the large dining table, chatting with other guests. And some love to sit outside in the Courtyard, either on their own or with other guests.

Here, ready to be taken up to a guest's room is a tray holding a Prosciutto Egg Blossom and a Grape Tomato, Chive and Cheddar Frittata - two different dishes for two different diets, Croissants and Lemon-Blueberry Granola Parfait. Coffee, tea & juice.

Every breakfast is different, every day. It all depends on time of year, what local produce is available & the special needs of our guests.

Breakfast in the Courtyard

A full, hearty breakfast or a lighter version - your choice. The breakfast can be enjoyed in the Courtyard, on your private deck or in the privacy of your room.

Different everyday, using seasonal ingredients, local, if possible:

The breakfast changes everyday but typically includes a choice of tea or coffee, juice, fresh fruit, croissant, pain au chocolat, homemade granola (really good) parfait, bacon or sausages and different styles of eggs - for example, eggs in a ham bowl (recipe follows), croque monsieur, baked French toast, eggs Florentine, spinach & ricotta frittata. Please let us know in advance if you have special needs. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Minted Cantaloupe Concoction

We serve something different everyday. Fruit is always a part of our breakfast menu. Our refreshing marinated Cantaloupe Mint concoction is totally delicious.

Raspberry Riccota Crêpes

Crêpes, Crêpes, Crêpes

Sometimes we serve them sweet & sometimes savoury. We fill them, for example, with varying fruit compotes depending on season or spinach, ham & Swiss cheese topped with a sunny side up egg.

Crêpes are fun to make. And so delicious!

Egg in a Ham bowl

So easy, quite delicious. Pretty, too. Serves 2 (or one, if you're hungry!) Just double the ingredients for 4 servings.

Ingredients: 2 slices of your favourite ham (sliced thick enough to hold its shape); 2 eggs; approx. 1/4 cup of chopped red or green peppers (capsicum); 1 tablespoon chopped green onions - for garnish; fresh ground pepper to taste; 1/4 cup grated cheese (asiago, cheddar, Monterey Jack - you can vary this).

Method: 1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees.2) Grease the ramekins with a little softened butter (I use clear glass ones - since I enjoy the way it looks). 3) Stack the ham slices & using a 4.5'-5' lid or cookie cutter, cut the ham into rounds. Chop up some of the leftover ham into small pieces to sprinkle on top of the eggs, later. 4) Press the ham rounds in to the buttered ramekins. 5) Sprinkle the chopped peppers & a little grated cheese into the ham cups. 6) Break the eggs, one at a time, into a small bowl & then transfer each egg carefully into each ramekin, over the chopped peppers & cheese. 7) Sprinkle the chopped ham, left over cheese & green onions on top of the eggs. Grind some black pepper on top. 8) Place ramekins on a baking sheet Bake in the centre of the oven for approx. 20 minutes till eggs are set. 9) Remove from oven & let cool for 4-5 minutes. 10) Serve either in the ramekins or remove from them, which is surprisingly easy.

Try it. You'll be surprised at how easy it is. Good, too.

Strawberry & Blueberry Crostata

The Okanagan is known for the fruit it grows. Beautiful cherries, apples, pears, peaches and, of course, grapes.

We serve fruit of all kinds with our breakfasts. Come try our fruit.

Ham & Swiss Cheese Croissants

Hot from the oven! Almost every morning, part of the breakfast are some mouthwatering croissants.
