Fantastic stay for 3 nights with a very warm welcome from Maya who is available for any questions. She knows everything on what to do in Nelson and in the area. Fabulous breakfast, different every day and with new dishes every day! And what a pleasure to be immersed in her artist environment, so inspiring! Thank you for all Maya. Irene et Etienne

Maya is a wonderful hostess. We felt so welcome and comfortable in her beautiful home. Breakfast was amazing - we are vegan and maya provided a gorgeous meal for us. Location, view and garden are terrific. Casa del Soul is our go-to

Highly recommended on every level. Engaging conversation, great ideas for "must see and do," stimulating art work, books on every subject line the shelves, and a great night's sleep! Maya provides a comfy cozy lodging! Breakfast was delicious and filling. She truly puts her "soul" into her B&B. It was a delightful stay.

From August 4th to 6th, my husband David and I stayed 2 nights at Casa del Soul; we felt it a friend's home right away! Maya, the hostess of the place, greeted us with her warm heart. She taught me an art lesson and I tried a piece of water color and I liked it so much. She prepared the best breakfast that I ever had, delicious and rich. From her place so easy to get to downtown Nelson or Ainsworth, Kaslo, or Creston. The room we stayed in is comfortable with lots of books, nice bedding, quiet and private. Thank you Maya for everything you have offered to us! We would love to go back to see you again! Liping and David

I recently stayed at Casa Del Soul and had a wonderful time. Maya, the owner, has created a delighted space including a sunny front sanctuary where we had our coffee each morning and a beautiful back deck that is cool in the summer evening and looks out at the mountains. The food is fabulous and Maya caters to special dietary considerations, which we appreciated. Maya's home is filled with treasures and reflects her open hearted generosity, and artistic nature.

- Lynn, from West Vancouver, BC 17 August 2013

My husband and I stayed at Casa del Soul for just one night (Aug. 2/13), on our way to see friends in Alberta. We enjoyed a comfortable bed, lovely bath, excellent custom made and extremely plentiful breakfast. Last, but not least, we thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful company of 'Maya', the B&B owner and resident artist. Maya is an accomplished artist and it was lovely to see her work at the B&B. Maya was tons of fun and very personable. We were very happy we chose her B&B.

- Bonni & Brian, from Belcarra, BC 10 August 2013

Maya was fantastic! Really welcoming and the breakfast was amazing. Anything you could have wanted and really good food. I don't need to eat again for another week! Accommodation was very comfortable and quiet. Planning to return and make the most of the free art lessons that Maya offers.

I just read through the testimonials other guests have written about their stay with Maya. Our experience was likewise very enjoyable and we will cherish the memories of her warmth and kindness as well as the delicious breakfasts she so kindly prepared for us. It was not only comfortable but also rejuvenating for the two days that became one of the high points of our three weeks of travel through western Canada. Thank you again Maya, for making our luxurious stay feel so special. Namaste.

- Gerry, Lucy and Mian, from Nanaimo, BC, Canada 4 August 2013

A lovely place to stay, spacious, lots of art, movies and books. Maya is a wonderful host, prepares fabulous breakfasts and creates a warm, friendly environment. We felt relaxed and rejuvenated staying at the Casa del Soul.

- Dan, from Oakland, CA 22 July 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay of one week at Casa del Soul. Maya is a gracious host and her B&B is spacious, filled with art, good books and movies. She provides delicious breakfasts, too. We had everything we needed for a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation at her B&B.

Rooms are small but very comfortable and a jacuzzi tub to die for (soothed away the aches and pains of my rugby game the previous day!). The view over-looking the lake and the artwork that hangs from every wall is absolutely amazing… the B&B is owned by Maya (my-ah), a very gifted and acclaimed artist and she eagerly offers her studio to all who care to pick up a brush/charcoal/pencil/what.have.you to create or just doodle. Maya originates from Holland many years ago, so my wife and I were treated to a traditional Dutch breakfast - which to be frank - was worth the price of admission. Casa del Soul is as warm, positive and colourful an accommodation as you will ever hope to experience. Fantastic. Five stars.

Maya provided us with more service and care than we could have imagined during our stay in Nelson. Her home was our home, and she took care to meet our vegan dietary needs with a wonderful and inviting range of food to suit us. She even did our laundry!

- Jonathan and Juliane, from Trondheim Norway 23 June 2013

Loved staying in this warm and inviting B&B. Maya is the perfect host. Free painting lessons included! Wonderful breakfast and gluten free. Thank you for making my first visit to Nelson so wonderful.

- L HOOPER, 16 April 2013

Having already stayed at Casa del Soul with my parents i was lucky enough to return recently with my boyfriend for a weekend skiing trip. What a great weekend we had, Maya once again welcomed us into her cosy home where we were spoiled with crepes, waffles and french toast for breakfast, along with gluten free options and fruit. Enough to keep us going for a day of skiing. The basement suite is set up with a fridge, large t.v. and dvd player, which is perfect for chilling out in the evenings. Maya is a great host, whose energy and lust for life is infectious, my return to Nelson had as much to do with Maya and staying at Casa del soul as it did with the town itself.

- Hannah Kinsey, from Revelstoke 5 February 2013

I'll describe Casa del Soul as Magical from the time you pull up to the driveway right through to the wonderful layout and decor of the guest rooms and especially the dining room where my wonderful hostess Maya so graciously presented me with magnificent breakfasts. From there I took advantage of her art lessons while sitting in her studio overlooking the valley, mountains and glaciers. Maya just can't do enough for her guests, she is just marvelous. Nelson has a huge variety of theaters, restaurants, pubs and gorgeous scenery. Everyone in the town was ever so accommodating, kind and informative. Having visited Casa del Sould this past fall 2012, I now plan on returning during the summer of 2013.

My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Casa del Soul. Maya couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful. We felt nurtured as well as very comfortable. Maya even took care to provide delicious gluten free breakfasts for us. A most delightful stay!

- Araya, from Seattle WA 15 November 2012

This is a lovely place to stay, particularly if you want comfort, a very warm welcome and a wonderful breakfast. If you are into art then its even better, as you will be surrounded by Maya's work. The bedrooms are fairly compact but very comfortable, and the shared bathroom is newly refurbished. Maya is an excellent host. It is also within easy walking distance of downtown Nelson. We will be back!

- Ann and Laurie Scullard, from Lindale, Cumbria, England 18 October 2012
