A great place to stay where you can relax in a comfortable surrounding. Gary, Diane, Murphy, and Maggie are wonderful hosts! They are only minutes from Niagara attractions, but a world away from the Las Vegas like atmosphere of Niagara. The B&B is in the country with very beautiful, comfortable rooms. I don't know that I will ever be able to go back to hotels after this stay- who wants to anyway? Staying here we were made to feel very welcome, like treasured friends.

Beautiful B & B, fantastic hosts !”

Just arrived home from a fabulous first time vacation to Niagra. Dianne and Gary have the most beautiful B & B we have ever stayed in. Such a peaceful location and the rooms are huge, beautifully decorated, extreamly clean, very comfortable beds, spacious bathroom with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was fantastic! Gary catered to my fussiness of " I don't eat eggs". And prepared the most delicious blueberry pancakes, sausage, French toast, Canadian bacon, yougurt, juice , coffee, and eggs for my husband! Definitely did not walk away from the table hungry! We felt like we knew Dianne & Gary forever, very friendly and heplpful. Hope to get back there someday! Sue & Bob, Bayville, NJ

We stayed at Cartland for a long weekend in May. The place is everything it is described as and much much more. Gary and Dianne are gracious hosts and Gary's home made breakfast is a feast to start the day !!!

Definately recommended and plan to re-visit in the very near future.

What a great place! We came to stay over Easter weekend and were thrilled with our choice. The house is gorgeous and the guests have their own wing. We loved curling up on our sofa in the room in front of the fireplace after our busy days. Gary's cooking is excellent and the whole family is good company. Special thanks go out to Maggie and Murphy (dogs) for making us laugh and feel at home. If you're looking to do the tourist things and "come home" at the end of the day, then Cartland is for you. Dianne will help you with suggestions, directions and maybe even a bit of wine. Enjoy this gem! .

Cartland Estate is by far one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed at. The rooms are luxurious and spacious. Although we went during the winter months the grounds look spectacular. We took our grown-up children as our guests and they felt that our hosts Dianne and Gary were very welcoming and gracious. 5 stars all the way.

What a wonderful stay! Their home is an idyllic country get away. Trees and fields surround this gorgeous home. The front door opens into a gigantic double tiered setting area with an area for eating and another for relaxing. Our room was quite large with a gas fireplace and beautiful hardwood floors. A door lead out to the patio with a view of the country side. Our room had a LARGE walk-in shower which was stocked with some of the biggest towels I have ever seen. Breakfast was served in Gary's large kitchen. What a treat. I am a vegetarian and my wife is one of the pickiest eaters I know. Never were we disappointed in the food. Some coming directly from their garden. And the conversation was better than the food. We felt right at home. All of us eating and talking and having a great time. Dianne and Gary are wonderful hosts. They know the area well and made great suggestions as to what to see and do and where to park at attractions. They made us feel at home. We spent quite some time talking about our lives and families. And our dogs. I truly would recommend this BnB to anyone who is looking for a relaxing vacations spot. It is close enough to go and see everything in minutes but far enough to be quiet and relaxing.

Fantastic B&B” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013 NEW

The location is reasonably isolated with no neighbouring houses, which provides for a more private and intimate feel, yet it's only a 5 minute drive down the road to the falls. The property itself is a beautiful estate which is very clean and modern, whilst still maintaining a natural and homely feel.

Our hosts were lovely and very accommodating. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was awesome. Breakfast was served at the dining table where we were able to chat with other travellers staying in different rooms. The food was prepared fresh in front of us and was delicious. The complimentary Wi-Fi was appreciated and worked well.

Overall, a fantastic stay and much better than choosing a local hotel chain. Highly recommended.

Another wonderful review...thank“quality package” 5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013 NEW

This couple grew up in the area and took a rural property and with their own hands built a beautiful house with huge guest rooms with vaulted ceilings, massive walk in showers and welcoming fire places. It was a nice change from the cramped quarters of modern building restrictions. For breakfast, they open double doors to an amazing huge and warmly decorated kitchen with a huge table. Personally, if I was to pick cabinets for my own kitchen, I would have chosen these warmly stained maple beauties. Very spacious and the husband cooks with great skill to cater to the diet restrictions of each guest making each plate glimmer with appeal and taste. They are down to earth people with a nice environment to offer. We took a bike ride down the road and toured the Niagara parkway trail that is part of the friendship trail with the river on one side and beautiful homes on the other. It was so nice we rode 18 km the first day and 25 km the second day. It was a great time. A quiet country setting, they make wine and gave us a bottle to drink. They have 2 dogs and it was evident the couple who own and run it enjoy what they are doing.

The breakfasts are made the way you like and Gary is an excellent chef. Cartland Estate B&B has to be one of the best places i have ever stayed, and i have been lucky enough to travel to a number of places around the world. Dianne and her husband are extremely welcoming and friendly and make you feel genuinely welcome to their home. The room was beautiful and clean, hugely spacious and luxurious. You also have access to sit out on the patio that overlooks the surrounding landscape, which i would advise to do as the sun is setting, as it is so peaceful and calming. The B&B is also located 5-10mins drive from the falls and Dianne has a vast knowledge of the surrounding area so can tell you everything you need to know.

Cartland Estate has been the best B&B experience my husband and I have ever had! We felt comfortable and safe with Gary & Diane in their home. All the rooms are tastefully appointed and not a detail missed. This was our first trip to Canada and would gladly return to stay at Cartland during summer months. Gary was kind enough to share some of his delicious wine in the evening and enough cannot be said about his phenomenal breakfast cooking! Diane’s attention to detail with the rooms, cleanliness, and friendliness was warmly welcomed to these seasoned travelers – this is the lap of luxury for Niagara. The house is roughly a 10 minute drive to downtown Niagara and just far enough to be outside of the tourist trap. Call and book directly with them, it could save some cash from website booking costs. Room Tip: All rooms appeared to be the same.

The Cartland Estate is a wonderful alternative to the touristy hubbub of Niagara Falls. The accommodations are far more spacious, every bit as luxurious, and a fraction of the cost. The hospitality is superb: Dianne updated us on the availability of larger rooms and travel recommendations on our commute up. Her husband, Gary, is a phenomenal cook (and hilarious character) who served us gourmet breakfasts each morning. We also can't forget their lovable, gregarious showdog Vizslas, Murphy and Maggie. An overall delightful experience. We won't hesitate staying there again when we're back in Niagara.

We decided to go visit my son who is attending University At Buffalo, however, we wanted to stay somewhere nicer than a hotel and more personal. I researched many of the of the B&B'S in the area and decided on Cartland Estates which was 20 minutes away from the college in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

We were greeted by the two wonderful dogs on the property ( Murphy and Maggie) who showered us with kisses, from that point on we felt right at home. We met Gary and Dianne who welcomed us into their home and we hit it off immediately with both of them. The Estate was beautiful with 4 lovely rooms to choose from and were 3x the size of a hotel room or many of the other B&B'S we have stayed at in the past. The rooms had a wonderful walk in shower, a gas fireplace ( that heats the room) a nice comfortable king size bed, a balcony and a flat screen TV. The room was decorated with beautiful hardwood floors and wonderful artwork. The room also had a nice couch so you just relax and catch up on any reading you may want to do.

Gary was a big Hockey fan so I hit it off with him right away and had many great discussions about Hockey among many other things. Breakfast was great each morning and served to what you actually wanted/liked. The Estate was in a nice secluded part of Niagara Falls, however, only a 10 minute ride to the Falls and a quick 90 minute ride to Toronto ( which we did)

The Estate is only two years old so it is absolutely beautiful with many personal touches added. We made two new friends in Gary and Dianne and told them if there are ever down in the New Jersey area to please let us know so we can show them around.

Anyone staying here will NOT be disappointed, and will go back again in the future.

Thanks Gary and Dianne for making out trip extra special!!

At the Cartland Estate B&B you are not just another guest. Gary & Dianne are so personable and goodhearted. Although my wife and I and our friends went to Niagara Falls to sight see, our time at the house was as much a part of our great memories as the attractions. You could not ask for a better place to stay, it was comfortable in every way, from enjoyable conversations with our hosts to sharing info (when asked) about things that tourists would miss which all made us feel like we were visiting out of town friends, to the large well furnished rooms/areas that they provide and care for. When we reminisce about our trip we feel very blessed to have chosen Cartland Estates. We plan on going back to Niagara Falls and look forward to staying with Gary & Diane again!

We were always hesitant to stay at a B&B not knowing what to expect. It turns out it was one of our most delightful vacations. Dianne and Gary are extremely wonderful hosts. It feels like you have known them for a very long time, they are so friendly and warm hearted and very interesting. The home is absolutely beautiful, one can tell that a great d eal of thought and care went into building this home. You must look at the pictures of this awesome home to really tell what it is like there are not enough good words to explain it. I have never stayed at any hotel or facitlity that could be any more comfortable or clean. It is kept impeccably clean and every detail has been thought of. The rooms are all decorated so beautifully and one feels right at home instantly. Privacy is no problem as the rooms are situated very nicely some with balconies and some with access to a breathtaking patio. The dinning room and kitchen area are enormous and are decorated in very good taste as is the rest of the home. We arrived on the wrong day and I felt very badly but no problem for Dianne and Gary even though they had been gone for the day and not really expecting us they were so cordial and kind. Actually it worked out good for us as we got to spent some fine wine time with Gary as poor Diane prepared our room for us. The breakfast were supurb, wonderfully cooked for us by Gary and served in a massive dining room and presented as beautifully as a gourmet chef would. They have two delightful dogs who are very well behaved. I would be remiss if I did not mention our beautiful shower it was so massive, a walk in room. The towels were extremely soft, and the bed was so comfortable, no trouble sleeping here. I would recommend this B&B to everyone, I can't wait to return.

Gary and Dianne are fabulous! We were greeted by Maggie and Murphy (their gorgeous Vizslas) as soon as we parked our car with Gary at the door. He gave us a quick tour of the estate as well as tips on where we should venture to in Niagara Falls. The room was luxurious and a lovely break from the commotion of the city. In the morning, Gary and Dianne made us breakfast -- turns out, Gary used to own a restaurant so our breakfast was stellar! We had a wonderful conversation with them as we ate our breakfast and learned that Gary actually built the house himself! We'd definitely stay there again the next time we're back up there!

Karen Jensen I just returned from a four night stay at this Bed and Breakfast after booking it only 5 days pre arrival as I had booked at Jordan Manor and the owner emailed me a week before and told me he had given my room to someone else. Well it could not have worked out more perfectly because I was VERY happy with this location. I was in town for a course and I was lucky during the week I was there as they had found 8 adorable kittens on the side of the road and as an animal lover I spent each evening playing with the kittens and their two Viszlas Murphy and Maggie who are all adorable! I have stayed in tons of B and B's all over Europe and North America and I can honestly say this is one of my favourites. In terms of the accommodations, the rooms are beautiful with a walkout either to your own private balcony or a shared patio area in the back of the house. There is an ensuite with a walk around shower, and the room is huge! The common areas are love ly and very nicely decorated and always some music playing in the background. In the basement there is a pool table, a huge flat screen TV and another game table. Breakfast is cooked by Gary and the morning conversations both with the owners as well as other guests are always fun! It is a very quiet area as it is in its own part of town with no houses around it, but yet it is only a 10 minute drive to the Falls so you get the best of both worlds. There is a great restaurant just down the road called Betty's which has amazing home cooked food for very reasonable prices or you can go into town so there are many options available. It is about a 7 minute drive from the QEW and 5 minutes from the Niagara Parkway. I would highly recommend this spot for your accommodation the next time you are in the Falls area! Thanks Gary and Dianne for making my time at your place so pleasurable. I hope all the kittens are enjoying their new homes! - in Toronto, Ontario.

I love B&Bs because of the (usually) personalized experience one gets in an often unfamiliar area. My stay at CE was wonderful from many perspectives: 1. Hosts: Gary& Diane are wonderfully warm and genuinely interested in welcoming you to their home and making you feel at home without smothering. Gary's breakfasts over the 3 days we were there were filling and delicious -- a perfect start to our activity-filled days 2. Accomodations: The home itself is huge, yet only has 4 (gigantic!) rooms, so you never feel closed in, crowded or constrained. Each room lets out to either a balcony or a patio area, so even if you didn't wan't to stay in the room, and you didn't feel up to being in the public rooms, you can still get out and just "be." If you do want to sit in the public rooms, they also are tremendous and airy. Although my family of 5 adults did not hang out in the game room, for those so inclined, there is a large flat screen TV (also in every room), pool table, communcal couches, etc. 3. Grounds: Set back off the main road on acres of private property, you feel like you are away from it all, yet... 4. Convenience: Just 10 minutes from the Falls themselves and very close to local eateries and main thorougfares, you can get anywhere quickly including Buffalo NY (although you will have to deal with bridge traffic which can be somewhat daunting).

Gary & Diane share their home with 2 very friendly Viszlas (Pointer-like dogs) so you've got to like pets to feel comfortable here (we all did, no worries). Although they close in the winter months (not many vacationers in the deep freeze!) I would expect that a stay during the spring or fall would be even nicer than the summer because of the natural terrain/flora. We happened to hit a particularly hot stretch of weather while we were there, but it was always cool in the house (and out on the patio in the morning & evenings) so nobody suffered! This was our first time staying at a B & B and I can still hardly believe we stumbled upon this gorgeous little country paradise. Some small part of me would like to keep it secret. However, that would be very selfish! Instead I will try to share with you the experiences we had during our stay and give you an idea of what Gary and Dianne's hospitality is like.

This recently built country-side mansion is a scenic 10 minute drive from the Falls. One of the first things you will notice when driving up to the home is the greenery and nicely done landscaping. You get a feeling of openness and privacy from the tall tree's overlooking the grand entrance.

Inside you will find modern finishes and very tastefully done interior furnishings. The common area is very welcoming and backs out to a patio.

Our room was very spacious and came fully equipped with amenities such as: A/C, fireplace, large screen LCD, iron, large closet, loveseat and coffee table, small dining table, walk-in Shower, and an opening to the private balcony. It was surreal watching the fireflies from the balcony at night while enjoying the home-made red wine that Gary made for us.

The service and hospitality were excellent. We were warmly greeted at our arrival by Dianne and Gary. Dianne gave us a tour of the house and the amenities and made us very comfortable. Gary asked about our food preferences and ended up cooking us the most delicious breakfast each morning. They were available for any questions and helped us with directions to a couple of the wineries in Niagara on the Lake.

As our first time B & B experience, we are now completely spoiled and biased and we will always choose Cartland Estates as our destination whenever we are in town.

We were hoping to find a nice place to stay when we visited Niagara Falls this summer. Having come across Cartland Estate on the internet, we were immediately impressed by their reasonable pricing, the amenities and seeing the pictures of the property. But pictures alone cannot do this B&B justice, because neither its serene country setting , nor the breathtaking beauty and graceful elegance of the home is what makes it exceptional. When entering the home, we were blown away by its exquisite design and perfectly adorned decor. The spacious atrium is beautiful and contains a waterfall, fireplace, and plenty of seating and natural light. The guest rooms are also exceptional. Not only was everything immaculately spotless and seemed brand new, but Dianne and Gary have gone above and beyond what many would consider reasonable to make the accommodations as perfect as one could expect. We were so warmed by (and often tickled by) their thoughtful attention to details. Our guest room was very spacious and although it was pristinely beautiful, it was also comfortable and intimately homely. It was more like a honeymoon suite than a room at a B&B. There was a fireplace in our room and a large window on the wall near the head of the bed and we woke every morning to the chirping of birds; and at night, you can hear Niagara Falls from the balcony! The walk-in shower was ultra-convenient and impeccably flawless, and every toiletry was provided for our comfort. It was just far more than we expected. We enjoyed some games of pool downstairs, where we were graciously welcomed to utilize the big screen TV, stereo, complimentary wi-fi, and anything else that we wanted. Our stay (and our estimation of this B&B) would have been â_oexcellentâ__ based on the location, the beauty and cleanliness of the home, the breakfasts, and its amenities alone, but what made it exceptional was the warm, relaxed and heartfelt hospitality that Dianne and Gary showed us. Their gracious hospitality was second-to-none. They were so easy-going, unpretentious, generous, and sincerely caring about us and our vacation. Although we just met them a few weeks ago now, it feels like we have known them for a long time. We were treated to delicious breakfasts each morning by Dianne and Gary (who is a wonderful cook), and to informative and inspiring conversations. They are really so thoughtful. Not only did they prepare tasty healthy meals for us, they also inquired about what each individual guest liked and catered perfectly to every desire. Shortly after our arrival, they learned that my wife is a vegetarian, and they didn't hesitate to adjust the meals for her diet; and Dianne so thoughtfully and graciously shared additional vegetarian items for her to eat. Gary and Dianne were also knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of good information about Niagara Falls with us (e.g., the best attractions and eateries, things they enjoy, how to get around town, the best places to park), and they provided maps and pamphlets to us. Another great thing about Cartland Estate B&B is that we enjoyed the serenity of the country every morning and evening, but were only a few miles from Niagara Falls and all of its amenities. It was an easy drive and in a matter of minutes of leaving the house, we were amidst the attractions and activities of the Falls. Our stay at Cartland Estate was like the cherry on top of an amazing vacation. Niagara Falls was spectacular. It was everything we hoped it would be. Our time at Cartland Estates was far more than we expected. Not merely because of its beauty and serene location, but because of the hosts. Dianne and Gary are thoughtful, personable, genuinely warm, and are fun to be around. Although we were afforded all of the privacy we wanted the duration of our stay, we migrated to where they were at times because we felt very welcome to. We spent hours enjoying each other's company, sharing laughs, stories, thoughts, and even some difficult life experiences. They are good-hearted, gracious individuals, and their hospitality is just over-the-top, appropriately wonderful. At Cartland Estate, we simply couldn't have asked for more. Nor for better. Not for better surroundings. Not for a nicer location in proximity to the Falls. And we simply couldn't have dreamed up better hosts or a better home to stay in. They made us feel like family, and we can't help but hope to see them again. Should we visit the area again, we will be staying here.

We were hoping to find a nice place to stay when we visited Niagara Falls this summer. Having come across Cartland Estate on the internet, we were immediately interested in lodging there after noting their reasonable pricing, skimming the amenities and seeing the pictures of the property. But pictures alone cannot do this B&B justice, because neither the serene country setting where the home is located, nor the breathtaking beauty and graceful elegance of the spacious home is what makes it exceptional.

When entering the home, we couldn't help but be blown away by its exquisitely designed and perfectly adorned décor. The spacious atrium is just beautiful and contains a waterfall, fireplace, and plenty of seating and natural light.

The guest rooms are absolutely beautiful.

There was a large window on the wall near the head of the bed and we woke every morning to the chirping of birds; and at night, you can hear Niagara Falls from the balcony!

Our stay (and our estimation of this B&B) would have been "excellent" based on the location, the beauty and cleanliness of the home, the breakfasts, and its amenities alone, but what made it EXCEPTIONAL was the warm, relaxed and heartfelt hospitality that Dianne and Gary showed us.

Their gracious hospitality was second-to-none. They were so easy-going, unpretentious, generous with us, and sincerely caring about us and our vacation. Although we just met them a few weeks ago now, it feels like we have known them for a long time.

We were treated to delicious breakfasts each morning by Dianne and Gary (who is a wonderful cook), and to informative and inspiring conversations. They are really so thoughtful. Not only did they prepare tasty healthy meals for us, they also inquired about what individual guests liked and catered perfectly to every desire. Shortly after our arrival, they learned that my wife is a vegetarian, and they didn't hesitate to adjust the meals for her diet, and Dianne so thoughtfully and graciously shared additional vegetarian items for Sharen to eat. Gary and Dianne were also knowledgeable about the area and shared a lot of good information about Niagara Falls with us (e.g., the best attractions and eateries, things they enjoy, how to get around town, the best places to park), and they provided maps and pamphlets to us.

Another great thing about Cartland Estate B&B is that we enjoyed the serenity of the country every morning and evening, but were only a few minutes/miles/kilometers from Niagara Falls and all of its amenities.

Dianne and Gary were thoughtful, personable, genuinely warm, and so much fun to be around.

We booked Dianne & Gary's bed & breakfast a few minutes after she replied to my inquiry about whether they would welcome my boyfriend's dog to come with us if we stayed with them. She replied quickly and mentioned she had 2 beautiful Vizslas and would gladly have Nera over. A day later we drove up to their property. Dianne & Gary's home is beautiful, our bedroom had a patio that opened up to a field which Nera, our dog ran and played with the other dogs until they were tired. Their home was a very nice escape from our home in New York City and was just far enough from the touristy Niagra but close enough to drive back and forth for a quick bite or a night out by the Falls. Dianne & Gary were great hosts, made delicious breakfasts and let us feel very welcome with wine and great conversation. They had very good recommendations on where to go, attractions, what to do and where to get a nice dinner. If we came back to visit Niagara we would most definitely stay there again.

"Wonderful first-time experience" 5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2012 NEW

This was the first bed and breakfast that my girlfriend and I have stayed at together, but, that being said, our stay here will be a hard one to top. The location is great, especially if you are looking to stay in a quiet and gorgeous rural setting and still be a short distance from the falls and attractions in Niagara (which were only about ten minutes away via a scenic ride on the parkway). Our room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, and we really enjoyed walking the grounds and taking in the scenery of the surrounding farmland, ponds, and wildflowers. But the best part, by far, was the friendliness and hospitality of our wonderful hosts. Gary and Dianne went above and beyond what we expected, helping us find parking by the falls, recommending places to eat and interesting activities in the area, and making sure we had the best time there possible. You can't really put a rating on simple friendliness or good conversation over breakfast, but our hosts both met and exceeded our expectations. Plus, Gary is one heck of a good cook. Can't recommend this place enough.

Wonderful experience at this Bed and Breakfast! Hosts Di and Gary were very friendly and accommodating. Large clean rooms and very nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious! Most of all great peaceful location on 22 acres, out of the way yet less then 10 minutes to everything! Will definitely go there again and recommend to family and friends when in Niagara falls!!

- Andrew and Joelle, 20 May 2012

We spent only one night at the Cartland Estate, but immediately regretted not having booked a longer stay. The premises, the setting and the luxurious rooms are breath taking. We enjoyed a warm welcome, a harty breakfast and fine conversation. Thank you, Diane and Gary!

Our stay at The Cartland Estate B&B was absolutely outstanding! The pictures are amazing so we had high hopes, but we were still blown away. The house is so spacious and every single part of it is gorgeous. The rooms, the furniture, even the bathrooms are all top of the line. They didn't cut any corners in building or furnishing this place.

Gary and Dianne were incredibly friendly and made us feel welcomed from the second we drove up. The breakfasts were also awesome - a benefit of having a former chef living there!

I can't say enough good things about our stay, and I highly recommend that anyone looking for a great place to get away gives them a call. You will not be disappointed.

"Perfect Anniversary" 5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2011 NEW

Thank you Gary and Dianne for making our anniversary one we will never forget. Let me start off by saying my wife and I don't typically stay at B & B's. We recently celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and decided to try something different. Well, we made a wonderful decision with choosing this place. Gary greeted us warmly upon our arrival and provided us a tour of the Estate and our room. We were lucky to have a beautiful evening and were able to enjoy a few glasses of wine out on the patio as the sun was setting. Our night concluded by having dinner at Napoli Ristorante. The food at Napoli was ok but it's not a place you want to go to if your looking for ambiance. Our second day was spent driving to Niagara on the Lake and trying many delicious wines. Dianne, was extremely gracious and provided my wife and I with 2 tickets to see Reba McEntire who happened to be in town for the weekend. Gary is an amazing cook and provided us with an exceptional breakfast and wonderful conversation each morning. My wife and I would have stayed much longer if we could. We will certainly be visiting Niagara Falls again and will definitely be choosing to stay at the Cartland Estate next time.

" wow, so let me start my staying my bad... I am a slacker and have not gotten around to writing a review in a awhile. Me and my wife Julie spent an incredible honeymoon at the Cartland estates with Dianne and Gary. Gary and Dianne made it feel so at home, that we became great friends and got to enjoy a great bon fire and the incredible Canadian summer.

Cartland Estates with go far and beyond there means to make sure they make their place a great experience. I thought I lost one of my favorite shirts and they sent it back to me, all the way back to MA. I didnt just visit a destination, I made friends staying at the Cartland Estates with Dianne and Gary. Love Them!!!! This is just an example of how Cartland Estates are head and shoulders above, other places to stay in the Niagara falls area.

Miss Rebecca i am writing to you just arrived in Milan Italy from your nice country. Only to tell you that during our travel (Toronto/Niagara Falls/Kingstone/Gananoque/Ottawa/MontreaL/QUEBECCITY/TADOUSSAC/MONT TREMBLANT) we have appreciated Cartland Estate so much like no other BB. The place is warm and so relaxing (the room is wide and spacious, during the day there is always music and outside you can feel the nature so placid) but most of all, the owners, Gary and Dianne are truly fabolous. They are the plus. They are so kind, and try to make yourself as confortable as it's possible. We do really appreciated speaking (a lot) with them in spite of our awful english. Please, if you can, tell Gary to increase the price (we spent a lot more in others places that are not so "bright" ) because the place surely deservs it, and tell him that our italian wine is better than the one he produces!!. What a beautiful and relaxing place to spend part of our Canadian vacation. Diane and Gary are perfect hosts who really know a lot about the area and are willing to share that knowledge with their guests. We had great time talking with them while our beautiful room and the rest of this grear B&B. The breakfasts Gary cooked for us each morning were wonderful. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautiful. We would highly recommend Cartland Estates if you are planning to visit the Niagara Area. Much more enjoyable the a hotel stay. - Kate and Glenn, from Westminster, Maryland 3 August 2011

Really enjoyed my stay there. Hands down one of the best B&B I've ever been to. Gary and Dianne are super nice and friendly. The interior of their place is very well designed and comfy. Breakfasts were excellent and different each day. Great location, it's close to the tourist area of Niagara Falls, but still get tranquility from the area. I really look forward to my next stay there. Will definitely go back again. I will get this place 6 stars if 5 stars is the highest score.

We highly recommend this B & B. A lovely place in the countryside, but just minutes away from anything you want to do in Niagara Falls. The hosts, Gary and Dianne, are warm and personable hosts, and the full breakfast is excellent. We will be back again.

- Pam and Garry, from Fort McMurray, Alberta 13 July 2011

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. The place is in great shape and the owners (Dianne & Gary) are really friendly and very accommodating. It's a perfect distance from Niagara Falls so we were able to enjoy everything there without having to be in a typical hotel. Gary also cooks up a wonderful breakfast. If you're looking for a romantic getaway in the area this is an ideal spot. I highly recommend it!
