My husband & I spent 7 nights at MellowOut B&B in July 2019 was we explored the northern Bruce Peninsula. Boy, did we find a gem! Maureen & Ed were wonderful hosts - breakfasts were delicious around a tastefully set table, evenings were full of conversation and story-telling in the living room or on the deck. Maureen & Ed were a wealth of knowledge about local history and must-see sites. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The location of the B&B, surrounded by woods, meant we woke up to the sounds of birds and squirrels chirping! Highly recommended! Thank-you again, Maureen & Ed.

Mellow Out was a lovely B&B we spend 3 nights in, spotless and beautifully prepared/served breakfast with several options and ++accommodating to special diets or requests. Pool table was great to relax at night. Very comfortable and upgraded bathroom was very pleasant to stay in. Ed and Maureen were very accommodating to us. Sunset by water just minutes down road was beautiful, location was a great central location for our day trips along the Bruce Peninsula. Price ++reasonable. Thanks! Irma and Frank in the Golden room.

We stayed with Ed and Maureen for 4 nights this summer and enjoyed our stay immensely! They have a lovely welcoming home. Very clean and comfy. They were amazing hosts catering to our every need. The breakfasts were amazing, lovely presentation. Also had packed lunches which we took advantage of! They were very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of suggestions of where to go to get the best sunset and meals. Thank you folks, we hope to come back soon!

Stay here confirmed our preference to stay at B& B. Hosts warm and welcoming. Accommodations very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was superb, and Maureen and Ed offer good choices. Icing on the cake was Ed’s Origen recital before breakfast. You definitely won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay at ellow Out B&B.

- Steve, from Burlington 6 June 2018

This is a beautiful place and the hosts are incredibly kind and noble folk who made our stay charming, enjoyable and restful! Some mornings, after indulging in the amazing breakfasts served here, my husband and I found ourselves happier to stay chatting with this lovely couple than to rush out to start our vacation plans for the day! I hope we get to visit them again and happily recommend them to others!

We stayed at Maureen and Ed's beautiful B&B with both our teenage daughters at the beginning of August. Our rooms (the Lavender room and the Blue room) with their en-suite bathrooms were immaculate, spacious and extremely comfortable. The decor was amazing and relaxing and all over, there were little touches to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Everybody in our family loved the breakfasts - especially the cheese crepes and the eggs Benedict - they were fantastic and very filling.

All the extra information about the area, and places to see, visit and eat, that Maureen and Ed shared with us, made our stay so much more enjoyable - thank you!

We felt very lucky to discover this B&B and spent some wonderful days there. Hope to return again soon!

Tired of overpriced and poorly serviced motels, my wife and I decided to take the plunge and spend the night at a B&B. After spending a night at the MellowOut B&B as guests of Maureen and Ed we wondered why we had waited so long to make the switch. Their large spacious home is located down a quiet side road. The house is surrounded by tall stately trees and colourful gardens, and the interior of their home is a pleasant mix of both past and present. Our room featured an antique queen-size 4 poster bed and each room has its own en suite. Our host provided a varied selection of tasty breakfasts to help get us on our way. It was a great introduction to a B&B and Maureen and Ed will see us again somewhere down the road.

Maureen & Ed, thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful B&B. You made me feel like part of the family at Mellow Out which is a in such a scenic place nestled amongst the cedars as you drive in the winding drive. You have done such an amazing job with the interior, the warmth of the decor in each of the guest rooms with their own four-piece ensuites. And the breakfasts, the selections are amazing and the portions - you will not go hungry! Maureen you and Ed are fabulous together in the kitchen. Thank you again for a most enjoyable stay at Mellow Out.

- Ute, from Hamiltn, ON 2 December 2013

We enjoyed our stay very much. The host is friendly and a great source of local information. The suite is luxurious. The breakfast is a feast.

- Eric Bressot-Perrin, from Richmond Hill, Ontario 2 September 2013

We stayed in the MellowOut B&B recently for one night. Very warm welcoming couple who made our stay pleasant and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and very clean rooms. Large garden, outdoor sitting areas and pool for those who want to play. It was a surprise to have Ed playing organ to wake us up in the morning. Breakfast was generous, very tasty and nicely presented. I would like to go back!

- Anonymous, from Toronto, Canada 22 August 2013

Just want to let you all know this is a very nice place to stay. Clean, friendly, helpful. Ed & Maureen were there to answer any questions you might have. Oh, the food was very good, you had a choice of breakfast items and you got to choose your time to eat!

- Debbie, from Michigan 2 August 2013

Mo and Ed were wonderful, friendly and helpful hosts! Mellow Out provided everything that you could want in a B & B: ideal location, clean, modern, beautiful rooms, delicious and filling breakfast and charm! They were very accommodating to our schedule and made suggestions on other attractions to visit. The atmosphere was tranquil and they made us feel very much at home. We will definitely be coming back to Mellow Out during our next trip North.

- Sabrina and Jin, from Toronto, Canada 17 June 2013

If for any reason you need to stay at a B&B, look no further than Mellow Out. Well-appointed clean large rooms with private ensuites. Most importantly you will not go hungry. Mo and Ed put a breakfast spread together that will leave you stuffed for most of the day. Excellent location, just a few klms off Hwy#6 and very competitive rates. We have known Ed and Mo for years, so you will be pampered properly.

Last weekend was our first experience at a B&B, and we know that we will be definetly be going back to this one owned and operated by Moe and Ed!!! From the time we drove in the drive way we were so impressed, not only by the beautiful setting nestled in the cedar trees which that morning had a touch of snow resting on the tops of the cedars was breath taking at the very leastjust as was the house in front of us. When we entered the B&B we were so very welcomed by Moe and Ed, we felt so at home and comfortable and instantly started to relax in this beautiful place. The inside is very gorgeous, warm and appealing. The decor is absolutely stunning and so immaculately kept and spotless. You can see very quickly the thought and planning of this B&B by Moe and Ed was thought out so carefully so that their quests would have the most enjoyable, relaxing and tranquil time that you could ever experience at a B&B. Did I mention the decor-Well let me tell you, AMAZING as was Moe's Cooking!!! but back to the decor-we had the Lavender Room(my favorite colour)which was stunning, and the ensuite was incredible. We enjoyed Moe's fabulous menu, which we got to choose from and oh so many choices, we will have to go back again and again to try them all. Mellow Out B&B is nothing short of amazing!!! The setting, the rooms, the food and hospitality of Moe and Ed are a place you definetly want to experience. Thanks for a great time Moe and Ed!!!

- Karen and Bill, 10 November 2012

This is one of the best B&B I have been too so far, and believe I have been in too many this summer. Maureen and her husband do not only feel at home but offer you a charming welcome, wonderful and varied breakfast and welcoming and comfortable rooms, nicely furnished and with ensuite bathrooms in all the room!!! and the price is so afordable that you wish you could stay over for 15 days

- Belén López, from Ottawa, On and Spain 21 August 2012

I would highly recommend staying at this Bed and Breakfast if you are travelling to Bruce Peninsula. This B&B is located right in the middle of the peninsula- perfect for exploring. The hosts are wonderful-friendly, accommodating, and good company. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and tasteful. The breakfast was also really good, and there was great selection! This is the perfect place to stay, relax and see everything Bruce Peninsula has to offer.

- Anonymous, from Toronto, ON 1 August 2012

Just to reinforce all the other testimonials on this page - if you're travelling to the area, this is the place to stay. The hosts are lovely, kind and accommodating people, and the house itself is beautiful. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated, there's free and fast wi-fi, and all four of the cooked-breakfast choices you'll be presented with are delicious. Even the towels are soft and fluffy, and the floors are heated. Our bed, meanwhile, was enormous. I practically needed a map to find my way out of it. (Speaking of which, you'll be given all the leaflets, maps and local advice you could need by Ed and Maureen over breakfast.)

It's the perfect base from which to explore the Bruce Peninsula and we can't wait to come back again.

- Ollie Williams and Jennifer Lukas, from Georgetown, Ontario, and Manchester, England 5 November 2011

Being apart of the home cleaning industry, we wanted to find a b&b that would be clean and comfortable. The Mellow Out B&B was immaculate. Ed and Maureen Thank You so much for your hospitality. Rose and I have never felt so refreshed upon our return home. The "blue" room was the perfect choice for us, it had a king sized bed with what looked like brand new sheets and pillow covers and it was beyond comfortable. The 4 piece en suite was beautiful, the kind of washroom you always dream of having. Topping off our incredible visit, Ed and Maureen had given us a menu of breakfasts to choose from and served us a breakfast we will never forget. They use the finest ingredients, locally grown and tasty beyond description. They offered us advice on local spots to visit, away from the crowded tourist destinations and just being apart of their morning had made our day. You will NOT find such genuinely lovely couple to host your visit anywhere else. Call them today you won't be disappointed!

- Jacob and Rose, from Toronto, Ontario 18 September 2011

Our stay at MellowOut B&B have far exceeded our expectations.

The house is well designed & decorated, plus it's new and clean. The breakfast was simply amazing. Last and not least, Ed & Maureen have been wonderful hosts, they have made us feel right at home, provided great tips and information to us for our visits in the area, and have great stories to share with us.

Will definitely stay here again when we visit the area in the future.

- Andy, from Toronto 4 August 2011

Mellow Out was incredibly perfect. Since the very moment we drove in their driveway we realized we were getting way more than it seemed on the internet. The accomodation was spotless and Ed and Maureen are ammazing people. The place is the perfect spot for a good rest after an intense day around the penninsula. Everything was excellent but they saved the best for the end: their brekfast. Maureen baking is incredible. We highly recommend Mellow Out... Thank you ED and Maureen

If you are even thinking about staying here - DO IT!

This is a fantastic B&B - more than we expected. NEW and MODERN, and spotless is an understatement - it is immaculately clean (ideal for our newly crawling 8-month old)!

We stayed in the Blue room, which is as described - bright and spacious - and just plain beautiful. We were just staying one night but after seeing our room - (and the house & grounds in general), we wished we had time to stay longer!

And then there was breakfast - WOW! Perfect, delicious selection to choose from.... We both went for the Eggs Benny, and if I'm not mistaken, made with homemade biscuit and hollandaise sauce. The hubby enjoyed some toast with homemade jams/jellys as well...he was in heaven. And Maureen and Ed let our little guy enjoy a banana (creating a mess) - thank you Ed and Maureen!

We also got to enjoy the hammocks outside....oh, and the smell! The room smelled amazing! The last time a place smelled so good, it was the Trump Tower...really adds something wonderful to the experience.

And I could gush on and on about how this is definitely one of the best B&Bs out there! So again, if you are even looking at this page, book it!

Wonderful hospitality ! The rooms are very comfortable and nicely appointed . Hosts get out of the way to make your stay memorable.

- Irene, from Toronto 4 July 2011

I must say I was completely impressed with this bed and breakfast. Ed and Maureen have a way of making you feel right at home, while understanding your need for privacy. This was the perfect winter weekend getaway, a bed and breakfast for all seasons! This bed and breakfast backs onto the escarpment, beautiful views from every window. The property is large and private, the snow fell softly making it a truly winter wonderland - I took an evening stroll around the property, taking in the beauty of the night sky - the moon and stars were amazing, not something we see in the city, absolutely breathtaking!

The decor is tasteful and much thought was put into this home as they incorporating a little Dutch history into every room. Rich, warm inviting colours grace this bed and breakfast throughout, my favourite room is the upstairs living room, deep warm red walls, this room is inviting, I found myself spending time to read, or just taking in the beautiful view. I want to share how impressed I was to learn the entire lower level has in floor heating for our comfort. I also want to commend you as each bedroom is spacious and comes with their own modern private 4 piece bath suite! Wow, now this was impressive!

I would highly recommend Mellow Out B&B for a weekend get a way as it is open year round so you can take in the beauty of each season. Warning, be prepared to enjoy an amazing homemade breakfast, that is just out of this world! Thank you Ed and Maureen, your home is immaculate, warm and inviting a reflection of the perfect hosts! Looking forward to returning to mellow out again!

Careful attention to detail has contributed to making MellowOut B&B a most comfortable overnight stay. The breakfast menu offers a delicious assortment of healthy choices, comparable with even the best of hotels.

Our hosts, Ed and Maureen, were most helpful in directing us to the best the area has to offer making for the perfect interlude on the road to Tobermory.

We'll pass on the good word about MellowOut B&B to friends and family.

MellowOut is a delightful stop and stay in a scenic part of Ontario. Ed and Maureen are everything one would want in B&B hosting. Great breakfasts! Rooms are meticulously clean, beautifully decorated, and each with spotless full baths. We loved the smell of the pines.

This was our first time staying at a B&B and it definitely did not disappoint! Ed and Maureen were welcoming and made the stay feel like home! They were very helpful towards suggesting places to see and eat.

The house and our room are beautiful and nicely decorated, and with a private ensuite bathroom, our stay was made very comfortable. Also, did I mention this place is very clean? It is newly renovated so it is neat and spotless!

The breakfast menu is amazing too! Lots of variety and each item on the menu tastes so good (we've tried one of everything).

Overall, we loved our stay and definitely will be back when we decide to visit the area again!

Would recommend Mellow Out to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay. A warm welcome when we first arrived with a tour of the beautifully renovated house. Everything (and more!) provided including a beautiful, clean, ensuite bathroom and spacious rooms, fresh towels, etc. The house and rooms were spotless and new.

A home cooked breakfast better than any restaurant to wake up to with tons of choices for everyone and no one will not leave hungry!

We were not from the area so Ed and Maureen helped with directions and sights to see in the area.

Not one complaint, everything was incredible. Thank you Ed and Maureen.

- Karla and Gary, from Kitchener-Waterloo 22 August 2010

What a tranquil place nested in the cedars. Had a wonderful time.

If you are coming to the Bruce or just passing through, we would highly recommend choosing MellowOut!

Everything is spotless and newly renovated. Comfort, privacy, and your own ensuite. Ed and Maureen have thought of everything. Maureen's cooking alone is worth the stay.

We will be back.
