Outstanding B&B directly on the shore of Lake Erie. Bill & Madalyn were excellent hosts. We stayed in Lakefront room #1,#3 & Main Flr. #1 of their 6 rooms each very unique beautifully designed with very comfortable beds, towels and bedding top quality, luxurious rooms in decor and comfort. The well appointed rooms included daily room service with nice touches like 2 bottled water and Pringles for us to munch on while playing scrabble on our private balconies or patios overlooking the lake. Several breakfast choice each day with delicious fruit cups great coffee or your choice of beverage all set for you and served indoors or out. It was like staying in a friends home with caring from both, they even followed up on a medical problem I had when I was home. We can't say enough about both of them and their daughters. Highly recommend and we will revisit whenever staying in that area. Thank you both very much. Pat & Fred

Absolutely wonderful experience at this incredible place. The views are spectacular and the home is spectacular. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. Bathrooms are large with big fluffy towels and lots of little extras. We felt like we were staying in a friend's home and Bill and Maddie felt like long time friends when we left. Breakfast was delicious, especially the eggs benedict and corned beef hash. Our stomachs were well prepared to sip wine in the many local wineries, very close by. The large open great (really GREAT) room had a huge bar for socializing. Lots of outdoor seating around the home for privacy as well. It was the best B&B experience ever and a wonderful place for couples and groups seeking peace and relaxation on Lake Erie.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at La Roos Maison! My boyfriend and I had explored the local wineries during the day and stayed at the B&B for one night. It was conveniently close to the wineries we were visiting. Madalyn and Bill were excellent hosts, greeting us warmly upon our arrival and making us feel welcome throughout our stay. At the B&B, our room and bathroom were very clean and decorated very nicely. Our room had a charming balcony view of Lake Erie, and it was perfect to sit out there and enjoy the view. For breakfast, we also loved being able to sit outside on the patio to enjoy our delicious food. Overall, fantastic experience, and we'd highly recommend this B&B!

Peaceful location right on Lake Erie with a beautiful view over the water. The house and room were amazing. Very well decorated house and kept immaculate. Beautiful gardens with lots of flowers. An amazing place with wonderful hosts, Madalyn and Bill. The breakfast omelette was cooked to perfection and it came with fresh fruit, choice of meat, croissants, lemon bread, coffee, fresh orange juice, tea and water. Several beautiful outdoor patios to use with a choice of sun or shade. It is the perfect place for a quiet getaway. If you want the best, this is the place to go.

- Brad, from London,Ontario 28 May 2018

This is the greatest B&B we have ever stayed in and my husband and I have stayed in a lot.We have traveled all over Europe and stayed in a great many B&B's. We held our son's wedding rehearsal here in 2012 and I always felt bad that I never went on trip advisor (not that I am a fan of trip advisor)and told what an awesome reception we had here. Hope all is going well and thank you for showing us a wonderful time. I think the rehearsal party was as good as the wedding party.

- Helen Sturgeon, from Bracebridge, ON 23 March 2018

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful B&B located directly on the waterfront of Lake Erie and in the middle of the wine route with a stone-throw location to the North Shore Erie wineries. We were attending a wedding at Sprucewood Winery which was literally just 'down the road.' Our accomodation was superb: very clean, spacious, well appointed room with a large sitting area and spectacular view of the lake through large windows which encompassed the room on three sides. After the noise, crowds and a late night, it was great to return to a quiet, welcoming atmosphere. Sleep came easily as the king sized mattress was top notch...nothing in quality missing here!! The tiled ensuite bath had everything one needed and more, including both high and low reaching champagne shower heads. A full breakfast is included with generous serving of breads and muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, and eggs by selection, all homemade in the gourmet kitchen while you enjoy visiting with the hosts Bill and Madalyn. Delicious!! We were scheduled to visit family in Kingsville after breakfast, and with no one hurrying us off, we walked the gorgeous grounds and took in the refreshing morning breeze off the lake. As far as B&B's go, this one should be on your list! You won't regret your stay. I can guarantee you'll feel like we did...wondering why you didn't extend your stay!

Cheers Maddie and Bill,

Murray and Bev.

More of an Estate than a B&B. LOL Spectacular grounds.! Beautifully decorated place with a terrific mattress. Had a great sleep. The bathroom was opulent with a spa shower and tub. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast on the grounds to a beautiful view of Lake Erie. Madalyn and Bill were lovely people to chat with and provided a great breakfast. We would definitely return if in the area again.

- Diane and Mark Ribbins, from Hamilton, Ontario 4 August 2016

Wonderful place! This is a luxurious home from home in a fantastic location. Minutes from the wineries and other tourist attractions. The breakfasts are made to order and the eggs Benedict are the best I ever tasted! The owners are so accommodating and friendly it is by far the best B&B we ever stayed in.

- Marie Crosson, from Saskatoon 2 August 2016

Booked a 3 night stay in July to celebrate a milestone birthday - what a gem! Maddie, Bill & Quincy were terrific, the home fabulously located, with beautiful rooms, great space and jaw-dropping views. Bringing friends and family with us next time!

We checked in to La Roos on june 13 2016 The owners ,Bill and Maddie gave us a warm welcome and were very helpfull. The B&B is absolutely grandiose and very clean. The site , right on lake Erie,is breathtaking. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious. There is a number of good places where to eat not too far away.We were enchanted with our stay at this B&B.

- Ray, from ST-JEROME 18 June 2016

We stayed at La Roos Maison for two nights early in November/15. The location is breathtaking and overlooks the lake. Bill and Maddie made us feel at home immediately and we felt like we'd known them forever. Their home is absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations. We were sad leaving but will definitely be back!

- Patti and Mike, from Belmont, Ontario 4 December 2015

We stayed at La Roos Maison for one night during the Thanksgiving long weekend as we had a wedding at Sprucewood Shores Estate. The B&B was perfectly located at only 6 minutes drive from the venue. The house was beautiful and very clean with lots of space. We rented the Terrace 1 and 2 rooms which were conveniently linked and shared a bathroom. The rooms had a lot of space and were wonderfully clean. Although we had to bring our playpen and booster seat for our 1 year-old daughter, the owners were very lovely to her and accepted perfectly having a child around. Breakfast was good. Small caution: they only accept cash. We would 100% recommend this B&B to anyone and would go back if in the area again.

We reserved all 5 bedrooms of this beautiful B&B for a Girls' Weekend in September. The hosts were very quick to reply to emails and were helpful and available during our stay. The rooms and bathrooms are spotless and we had full and exclusive use of the great room with bar, couches, TV and sound system. The outside meeting and sitting areas are abundant and offer a gorgeous view of the lake. We were a group of 8 women and spent Saturday touring 4 wineries in the area on our bikes which we had brought. We were able to store them in the garage overnight which was handy. This is a beautiful, rural area made for cycling and visiting wineries. We bought a case of wine at Muscedere Winery and they delivered it to the B&B for free! This is a fabulous B&B and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to singles, couples or a group!

- Anne, from Sarnia, Ontario 21 September 2015

We had a lovely stay at La Roos Maison B&B. The location is perfect, rght next to the lake. If you are looking for a nice place to wind down this is it. Beautiful house and rooms.

The hosts were super friendly and had alot of knowledge about the area. The breakfast at the patio was delicious (best eggs benedict you will ever have).

We would recommend this place to everyone!

What a gracious and relaxing night my husband and I experienced recently at LA ROOS MAISON B&B. The beauty and peace we sought were realized and the efforts to make us comfortable were always present. LA ROOS MAISON truly provides a great getaway.

- moe&liz, from canada 29 September 2013

My husband and I stayed in the Lakefront #1 Room at La Roos Maison for our honeymoon. The room and house were spectacular! The views of the lake from our room and private balcony were stunning! We enjoyed every moment of our trip and Madelyn and Bill made us feel so welcomed and special. Our outdoor breakfasts were amazing and they were very accommodating with my husband's dietary requests! We particularly liked the little extras such as the luxury towels, the simultaneous presentation of our food by Madelyn and Bill each morning, the quality decor throughout the house, the plethora of comfortable outdoor seating in their very large and scenic, lakefront back yard. We enjoyed relaxing, tanning and eating lunch on our private balcony and watching the sun set over Lake Erie. We made friends with guest there and loved the area. Point Pelee and Amhertsburg were 2 of our favourite spots and dinner at Moe's was a hit too. It was an amazing couple of days and a very memorable honeymoon! Thank you Madelyn and Bill for making it such an outstanding getaway for us!

- Patrick and Lyndsey, from Oakville, Ontario 1 September 2013

- Scafidi, from Quebec, Canada 3 August 2013

My husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying La Roos last week and were totally impressed with the beautiful home and property of Madelyn and Bill. Stunning home with warm hosts made our stay extremely enjoyable as well as memorable. Clean, quiet and beautiful as well as the delicious breakfast awaiting you in the morning. We would both highly recommend this B&B and can't wait to go back!

- Lynn and Don Van Loosen, from Windsor, Ontario 1 July 2013

We recently had a fantastic stay two night stay at La Roos.

Madelyn and Bill were great hosts. From our arrival up until we departed they were warm, helpful and welcoming.

The pictures here don't do La Roos justice. The house has a great view, the yard is very nice and the interior of the house had a relaxing feel to it.

We were very happy with our room. Everything was clean and well maintained. No item or thought seemed overlooked.

On top of how pleasant everything else was, our breakfasts were delicious.

We would definitely recommend staying here and intend to return ourselves.

- Allison and Phil, 7 May 2013

Our stay was absolutely beautiful! Both the room and grounds were breathtaking. Madelyn and Bill were wonderful hosts and so friendly and accommodating. We are looking so forward to going back again. A lovely vacation spot not far from home.

- Donna and Fabio, from Windsor, Ontario 28 April 2013

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME! We came across Lake Erie with friends - docking in Colchester. LRM B&B is less than a mile from the marina, secluded, in the heart of wine country, with beautiful views of the lake. You can pedal a bicycle to several nearby wineries. Our hosts even arranged a wine tour for us. Their home is stunning - with a 'jazz theme' to the great room. There is plenty of outdoor area to be enjoyed. The bedrooms and baths are large, comfortable, and tastefully appointed. A wonderful breakfast awaits you in the morning. You won't go wrong.

- Matt & Laura, from Akron, OH 26 July 2012

We recently stayed here the night before we attended a family wedding nearby in Amherstburg. We have stayed in B&B's in Southern Ontario, Vermont, Maine, Vancouver Island, the Maritimes and throughout Australia. We feel it was THE best B&B experience we've ever had...gracious hosts, a perfect lakeside setting, designer decor, very posh bedroom suites, superb service, and d...d...delicious breakfast cuisine.

Best Wishes for your continued success, Madalyn and Bill!

- Larry and Bonnie Simonato, from Elora, Ontario 7 July 2012

We stayed at La Roos B&B on 1 July 2012. The facility is amazing - lovely property on Lake Ontario, beautiful modern home, well equiped rooms with thoughtful amenities. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast - eggs benedict - was truly gourmet. This is the best accomodation available in the Kingsville/Leamington district by a wide margine. We are looking forward to going back soon!

- Ralph and Janet, from Montreal 2 July 2012

This is a fabulous B&B! Madalyn and Bill are wonderful host! I took my husband there for a surprise anniversary trip. The home is beautiful and the property is private (over looking Lake Erie). Our room was very clean and comfortable. To top off our great accommodations, Madalyn made an absolutely delicious breakfast (I'm still telling people about it and it's been almost a month)!!! Highly recommend this B&B! We hope to get back at least once or twice a year. Thank you Madalyn & Bill for going above and beyond my expectations!

- Kendra Johnson, from Birmingham, Michigan 2 August 2011

If you have had negative experiences with B&B's in the past, or, are hesitant to try one, give La Roos Maison a chance!!! NO floral prints, doilies or rickety old beds here - La Roos breaks every stereo-type you can think of. It is the perfect location for R&R - a little piece of heaven right on the Lake!

My husband and I and young (late 20's early 30's) and are fairly new to the B&B scene. Many friends our age still find it "odd" to stay in someones' house. Well, when the house is 7,000 square feet, decorated in a sophisticated and modern style and has stunning lake views, it's hard to find a reason NOT to stay! We stayed for three nights in one of the Lakefront rooms and woke up to an amazing view every morning. Our hosts, Bill and Madalyn, were the perfect blend of attentiveness, helpfulness and "make yourselves at home"! Our breakfasts every morning were outstanding and left us full until early afternoon (the BEST fresh-baked banana bread ever!). The near 2-acres of property provide a great place to relax...we enjoyed reading by the lake with a glass of wine and watching the sail boats go by...

The location is ideal - you're right in between the best of Essex County: wineries galore, the charming town of Amherstburg, Pelee National Park, etc - all within driving distance. Our hosts were so helpful in helping us decide what to do each day, calling ahead to book wine tours, providing maps and restaurant recommendations and sharing stories with us about the area.

I'd consider myself to be fairly well-traveled and somewhat of a "hotel snob" (that's what happens when you have worked previously in top notch hotels!)...the La Roos Maison B&B surpassed ALL expectations. We will be back...and YOU SHOULD GO!!!

- The Huggetts, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada 19 July 2011

We stayed here the weekend of our wedding, Aug.21/2010. Night before with the girls only, and my husband and I on the night of the wedding. We had 4 rooms booked and all of them were so lovely. This is a beautiful place, with equally beautiful surroundings.Recomended to us by Esther at ViewPointe Estate winery where the wedding was held, which made it a perfect location. The breakfast was fantastic! The hosts were like family. Rate it 10 out of 10!

- Ray and Terrie, from Windsor,ON 6 July 2011

Stayed with girlfriends here on June 11th, 2011 and it was fabulous. Spotless, beautiful home to enjoy with wonderful hosts who made us feel very comfortable. A true delight - would definitely stay again. I strongly recommend La Roos.

- Cathy Lunardi, from Lasalle, Ontario 28 June 2011

Thank you Madalyn and Bill for making our annual wine country tour one to remember (June 18, 19, 20 2011). You are great hosts and your home treated us to 5 star luxury. Your home is even more beautiful than the pictures on bbcanada and your website. The decor of is incredible. We loved the bathrooms. Your breakfasts are nothing short of out-of-this world. How did you know that eggs benedict is one of our favorites? The fresh fruit was greatly appreciated as well. Thank you again for the great conversation and good time. You made it very difficult for us to stay in a conventional hotel ever again.

- John & Lucy Clarry, Al & Marg McKeag, Gail & Phil Rash, from Alliston, ON 24 June 2011

Thank you so much Madalyn and Bill. You've done such a great job of remodeling your home. The decorating is lovely and the home is spotless. Joan and I really enjoyed our stay. Your company the next morning during coffee and a magnificent breakfast was very enjoyable. We will definitely spread the word and stay again.

- Leo and Joan Parent, from Windsor ON. Ca. 4 December 2010

Just wanted to say we had 2 great nights. This B&B is a cross between a 4 star hotel and a home, but has the extras of a B&B. The pictures don't show how large and comfortable it really is. We enjoyed the fellowship and I know we gained a few pounds from all the great food we ate. Quincy the dog provides great entertainment as well.

- Mathew & Sarah Lawton, from Barrie, Ontario 25 October 2010

Special thanks to our hosts Bill and Madalyn for making our weekend getaway a memorable experience. The accommodations were very luxurious. I highly recommend La Roos B&B.

- Steve & Alicia, from Windsor, Ont. 15 August 2010

This was one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed at. It was our first time traveling with our baby and La Roos Maison couldn't have been more accommodating. It was clean, warm, inviting, beautiful and a safe environment for our child. The breakfast was amazing and Madalyn and Bill were extremely nice. It is wonderful knowing this place exists in the area and we will certainly be back. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here even for a second.

- The Flanagan Family, from Chicago, IL 2 August 2010

Our family stayed at the La Roos Maison B&B and had a wonderful experience. The home was absolutely beautiful and the views were spectacular. Madalyn and Bill were both wonderful hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. Breakfast on the patio was very relaxing and the eggs benedict was delicious. Thanks so much for a perfect ending to our vacation in Ontario!

- Dennis, Kim, Allie, Lauren & Brendon Reiners, from Cincinnati, Ohio USA 1 August 2010

My sister and I stayed at the B & B and had a wonderful experience. The room was elegantly appointed, the breakfast was superb, served on the deck. The owners couldn't have been more cordial. We will stay again the next time we are in the area.

- Dale Austin, from Oshawa, Canada 21 July 2010

My husband and I don't usually stay at a bed an breakfast. My husband is a fan of the Park Hyatt chain and I'm into trendy boutique hotels. When we decided to go to visit the wineries in the region of Windsor, I began an intensive search to find a B&B that would offer the quality and luxury of an expensive hotel. I had almost given up when I found the La Roos B&B. The description and pictures responded to what I was looking for. Furthermore, it's a water front property, even better!

I wasn't disappointed with my decision. The place is lovely, I think the new owners added some great touches, and most importantly the place is VERY clean. The service was great as well. We got some great tips on places to visit. The B&B is located in the middle of the many local wineries, we were happily surprised by the quality of the local wines.

We were celebrating our 1st year anniversary and we had the perfect romantic stay. Our room was perfect with a top quality kingsize bed, a fire place and a bathroom equipped with a jacuzzi. We had a wonderful breakfast on a waterfront patio. Madalyn's eggs Benedict are the best we had!

Everything is top quality, from the accommodations to the to the food served for breakfast. We would definitely come back, and I strongly recommend it.

- Killa & Todd Wisuri, from Montreal, Quebec 20 July 2010

La Roos Maison is such a great Bed and Breakfast. We can't think of a better or more comfortable place to spend a weekend, it was absolutely beautiful! In addition to the outstanding accommodations,we enjoyed exceptional food and wonderful company during our stay. My financee proposed to me while we stayed there and the setting all around us created the perfect experience that we will forever remember. Thank you so much for everything...we loved it!

- Melissa & Ryan, from Windsor, ON 16 July 2010

Thanks once again Madelyn and Bill we loved our stay in Lakefront #1. Our room was absolutely perfect and the view was breathtaking! Your "HOME" is gorgeous and you were both great hosts. We felt very welcome and you were so generous offering us to use the other areas in your home. We loved our breakfast, it was delicious, and being served on the patio with the great view of the lake made us feel like royalty! We look forward to returning in the near future. It was the perfect getaway for us!
