Best bed and breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights during our spontaneous weekend trip to Cape Breton. The two hosts (the nicest older couple I have met while travelling) made us feel right at home. It felt like we were staying with family for the weekend. Their home and area is beautiful and I guarantee this will be a highlight of your trip if you stay here. I would recommend to anyone. Comfortable, beautiful and just perfect. You are accommodated wit a lovely room with a view, delicious homemade breakfast and wonderful company. Their dog Jessie is also a very friendly host. They were so understanding of our spontaneous trip and showing up late the first night as well. Next time we go to Cape Breton, we are definitely staying here again. The price is very, very fair (cheaper than other bed and breakfasts and still the best one ever). There is nothing better than coming here after a long day of hiking and kayaking.

We stayed just one night, but we loved it! Laverne and Gordon are very nice and helpful people. We'll be back some day.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a somewhat impromptu trip to the National Park... it was a perfect choice! Laverne and Gordon (& Michael as well) were wonderful hosts. Their home is cozy & charming--we loved waking up to stunning views & freshly made breakfast (those jellies really are tasty!), and returning there after a long day outside. The river is right across the road, and you can even go out on a boat if you like! Their dog Jessie is a sweet heart too :) Definitely recommend! Thank you Laverne and Gordon!

We spent a night here, and loved it so much, we came back again on another evening. Laverne and Gordon are such genteel hosts, they made us feel so very welcome and it was sad to say goodbye. The accommodation was lovely, the food great, the hospitality outstanding. Thank you both so much.

We spent three nights with Laverne and Gordon and feel that we've developed a friendship that will last a lifetime. They are outstanding hosts and make their guests feel like part of their family. We especially enjoyed our evening conversations after we returned from our daily travels. View is amazing, home is charming and food is delicious. If you like rural life, this is the B&B for you.

Spent a night at the beautiful B&B, and can't wait to get back! If you love meeting genuine people in a rural setting, this is the place! It has a view of a lovely valley with a winding river that causes you to relax. The breakfast was artistically prepared - the best we had on our trip! Our beautiful room may have been off the main track, but it was worth the trip. Thanks again to Laverne and Gordon!!
