dot Elliott House B&B
I travel for work and happened upon the Elliott house because of proximity to my job site. From my first inquiry till the day I left, I have never been so impressed with a BnB. I stayed for 4 weeks and was made to feel very comfortable, it felt like a true home away from home. I very much enjoyed my time in Toronto and I attribute this entirely to my choice of accommodations. Thank you for everything and I hope to one day stay again. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is as equally as kind and considerate as your hosts are, they deserve nothing less.

Such a warm welcome from Jeff. All the rooms are great, comfortable and excellent breakfasts.

Charming, warm-hearted, safe and clean home away from home for a reasonable price! I spent a week there in October 2015 and 2016 resp. and I'm looking forward to my next stay! It's a beautiful house with history, cozy atmosphere, laid-back, welcoming hosts - Pauline & Jeff & 3 friendly cats. Relaxed self-serve breakfast in a snug dining room without time pressure (good for me, I'm a night owl...); really good coffee in big cups, wide choice of food and nice encounters with other guests! Pleasant, quiet, safe neighbourhood; streetcars and No Frills store just a short walk away on King St.; lots of little stores, cafés and restaurants on Queen St. only 5 min. in the other direction, big variety; the area is called "Little Tibet", but there's so much more to discover; ask Pauline and Jeff, they give good recommendations; to get to lake Ontario, walk 10 min west on King and take the pedestrian bridge; right at the beach there's the fancy "Palais Royale" - check out the lunch buffet on Wednesdays (no dress code; $ 15; proceeds for charity)! Roncesvalles Ave. is just around the corner, also lots of little cafés, restaurants, stores. When you come you feel welcomed again; it's a pleasure to exchange travel impressions with Pauline and Jeff, as they also love to travel. If you're too tired to talk, there's no pressure to socialize; just grab a cup of spice or herbal tea (thanks for that suggestion, Pauline, I kept this habit at home) and rest your tired legs on a comfy bed in a nice room and watch TV or sleep as long as you want to.

I booked the place for my parents, because I hoped for some more individual care than in a big hotel. I wasn't disappointed. The hosts got into contact before the trip and were very helpful concerning day-trip planning and airport transfer. When arriving, my parents were being taken care of and had a wonderful time in Toronto.

Fantastic stay at Elliot House. Was warmly welcomed after a late flight and this level high level of hospitality continued throughout my stay. Felt very safe, and at home. No request was too difficult, room was very comfortable. Location great for everything I wanted to do in Toronto. Would highly recommend.

No falto nada.

Elliott House is a wonderful home away from home. The owners are so much fun, full of laughs and great stories. We had an amazing time. The bed was soft and cozy and we could easily come and go as we pleased with our own set of keys, perfect for a couple in Toronto enjoying a night out in the city. It's in the West End near trendy restaurants, cafes, and bars and easily accessible to the highway. You'll love it!

What a perfect stay we had!!! We made last minute plans and Pauline graciously accommodated us for our overnight visit to our favorite city... and Elliott House is now our favorite B&B in downtown Toronto! This beautiful historic property has spacious rooms and great amenities along with breakfast... and parking is conveniently available. We felt comfortable, more than welcome and safe in this home and can't wait to return!!! Thanks so much again for the great time!

Excellent location with parking. Personable hosts. Recommend highly.

In December I had the opportunity to spend time at Elliot house B&B The home is a wonderful place to stay, full of charm and the comfort of home. Close to the downtown area, subway streetcars and walking distance to many points of interest. I was pleasantly surprised to know I even had a parking spot. The rooms are beautiful. I will be definitely staying again!! And will be telling all my friends and family about this place. Pauline and Jeff are great hosts. Have lived in the city thier while life and are very knowledgeable about the city and activities available. Jacqui.

- Jacqui McGroarty., from Oakville 10 January 2016

Stayed at Elliot House 4 nights this February, mainly for working purpose but had time also to enjoy the lovely City of Toronto. Thanks Jeff and Pauline's warm hospitality, enduring the very cold weather of this period was easier. We very much enjoyed our stay here, and look forward for an opportunity to come again. Thank you again Pauline and Jeff !

- Catherine and Jean-Pierre, from Nantes, France 12 April 2015

Elliott House is a great place to stay in Toronto! It is conveniently located just steps away from streetcar stops on both King and Queen streets, and connections to the subway are easy and smooth. It took us only 20 min to get to downtown or Union Station. Perfect location, clean and comfortable rooms, good breakfast, competitive prices -- I do not think we could do any better. Thank you so much, Pauline. We hope to see you again.

- Julia (and family), from Ottawa, Canada 25 November 2014

Pauline is so sweet. I had last minute request to drop my bags off earlier for the concert I was seeing that night had some changes. She was accommodating. The snacks upon arrival are are a great touch. I loved the cats they were fun to have with me when I had breakfast. The location is Great and not too far from The downtown airport. I briefly met her husband he was nice and the room was charming. I would love to stay again.

- Lindsay, from Halifax 4 August 2014

A home of impeccable ancient beauty. This is Pauline's place; a mother, wife and kind to the bone. A warm family atmosphere, clean rooms, excellent showers, perfect location near the water and the downtown core. I had my first quiet sleep in 5 months after travelling through Canada. I will be recommending Elliot House to my best friends and family when they visit

- J GM, from Kelowna, B.C. 30 May 2014

I very much enjoyed my stay in Elliot House -- it worked out perfectly for me in every way. Warmth of welcome, comfort, cleanliness, location convenience, facilities etc. -- Brill ! Enthusiastic recommendation all round.

Elliott House was a warm wonderful healing place for me. I stayed with Pauline and Jeff for 2 months inbetween apartments. I couldn't have found a better place to make my temporary home for myself and my 2 cats. They made me feel welcome, like family. They both welcomed me to dinners and respected my privacy. I havent got good enough words to recommend Elliott House!

- Rae-Ann Gammon, from Toronto, Canada 4 February 2014

I've had the pleasure of staying with Pauline and Jeff for over a month while attending school in Toronto. I can whole heartedly recommend Elliot House as a comfortable, affordable, friendly home away from home. Highlights include Pauline's baked apples & other treats, laundry service for a small donation to the animal shelter, witty weekend banter with Jeff and the coffee machine! The location is convenient with an easy and direct transit route to downtown or a 10 minute bike ride.

- Caleb D., from North Vancouver, Canada 12 November 2013

We stayed at Elliott House for 3 nights at the end of May as part of our honeymoon, and had a wonderful time. Pauline and Jeff made us feel very welcome, and the street cars that run close to the house make it very easy to get into Downtown Toronto. We would definitely go again, and recommend it to everyone else.

- Kinga Broun, from Bristol, United Kingdom 9 August 2013

Lovely accommodation in a great location - convenient to streetcars. Friendly welcome from Pauline and Jeff who both made us feel right at home! Also lovely to share this house with 3 cats! Breakfast was laid out for us to serve ourselves and we enjoyed sharing with other travelers over breakfast. Our room was right at the top of the house - it was clean and had AC (very welcome!)The parking space was also very useful!

- Heather Harper, from Enniskillen, UK 22 July 2013

I stayed at Elliott House for a bit more than 2 months and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice stay in Toronto. Pauline and her family are so incredibly nice and helped me a lot so I would get comfortable in Toronto. The house is clean and a real victorian beauty, it's really close to 2 major streetcar lines and it takes only 15-20 minutes without changing to get into the city centre. It's also only a 7-minute walk to the lake as well. I will definitely stay there again when I come back for a visit.

- Kate, from Klosterneuburg, Austria 10 June 2013

Phenomenal! I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast in November and the family was amazingly hospitable. I was slightly biased, since we got our first proper breakfast after living in the US for three months, but Pauline was very helpful and friendly and she made our trip to Toronto perfect. The house is beautiful and outside the busy city centre, but it's still easy to get into the city by tram. I would recommend everyone going here.

- Martijn Otten, from Leiden, The Netherlands 9 April 2013

The Elliott House B&B is a lovely place to stay while visiting Toronto. Pauline was very kind and made our visit easy, even with a dog and a young child. Beautiful old house in a diverse city neighborhood. A very pleasant stay.

- M. Aagaard, from New York State 6 April 2013

We were lookng for a B&B near the CNE grounds and Elliott House offered very easy access to and from. This B&B is in a 100yr old home in a nice neighbourhood. Pauline and Jeff make you feel as if you are in your own home - this is not a hotel and you are shown where food items are and you are free to enjoy. Sharing the clean washrooms are not an issue. I recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to meet wonderful owners and interesting guests (Paris, S Africa, Denmark)There is also parking if required - which is a huge asset.

We will be back as we travel to Toronto 3-4 times per year.

Thanks to Jeff and Pauline!!!!

- B Bain, from Perth Ontario 27 November 2012

After traveling for two months and staying mainly in hostels I was definitely missing the comforts of home and that is exactly what I found at Pauline and Jeff's house. My friend Ruth and I loved our time here more than any other accommodation not only because Elliot House itself is such a beautiful building with lovely, sunny and comfortable rooms but mainly because Pauline and Jeff are the best hosts you could ask for and just brilliant people to meet and chat with. Felt instantly at home and they were both very good at acquainting us with the neigh hood which has some great restaurants to visit nearby and is only a short streetcar ride into the city. I enjoyed my time with Pauline and Jeff so much that I've gone back to to stay for the rest of my visit to Toronto. Couldn't be happier.

- Clair S., 21 November 2012

Had a Great Time in Area and enjoyed this B&B , Great value and close to all .Easy going and private .

- Bruce Vanderkooi, from Nanaimo BC 3 October 2012

A beautiful old house with really great hosts, very welcoming warm and friendly. You don't feel like a guest more like a long term friend. It is close to lake Ontario and just a short streetcar ride from the bustling city centre. We would definately stay again if we were to revisit Toronto.

- Keith&Barbara Bryant,& Doreen Jeans, from Hampshire United Kingdom 5 June 2012

Look no further, Elliot House is it. I stayed here last year for a week and I came back this year for a much longer stay. Pauline & Jeff are just natural hosts and make their amazing, historic house your home away from home. Location is very central, close to everything what you might be planning to do in Toronto, from business to fun to nature. I recommended Elliot House to my close friends, Helen & Doug, they booked already, and I am highly recommending it to you. I guarantee you will find here all, and much more that you are looking for in B&B, cheers!

- Ella, 4 June 2012

The house is very large and homely! Rooms are very good size. Pauline and Jeff are such lovely people and are happy to help with any troubles. The location is quick and easy to get downtown via Queen Streetcar which runs 24 hours. The pricing of the stay has been very reasonable. This set up has been perfect for a long term arrangement while I have been attending Uni here. I am having such a good time in Canada!

- Jemma Gibbs, 17 April 2012

- Anonymous, from Vidauban, France 25 July 2011

Pauline and Jeff were amazingly kind hosts! My brother and I travelled to Toronto with large bike cases and to have stayed with such accommodating and friendly hosts made the trip much easier. Location is great as well: close to High Park, Queen Street, and the Lakeshore. It was perfect for us.

- Jonathan, from Alberta 6 July 2011

My stay with the cross family was only for 2 nights but I can tell you they will make you laugh they are very informative and they like to have a good time I will definatley stay there again when I want to stay overnight and the bed was very comfortable :)

- Aaron Jensen, from Waterloo Ontario 24 April 2011

This is one of the best places, I have ever been to, my stay in Toronto was perfect with such a nice family. Thank you Pauline

- jamilah, from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia 3 March 2011

- Michel et Josette, from DOLE - JURA - (FRANCE) 12 November 2010

Hi,we stayed with the Crosses, for three nights. We were really made to feel really comfortable and at home. Paulines advice and help, on what to do and where to go while in Toronto was really appreciated, and there place is located so near to the street cars, that makes getting downtown so easy. Arriving in our comfortable and spacious room, we were supplied with bottles of water and cans of soda as well as nibbles to munch on.A pleasure to stay in such a warm and friendly atmosphere, and we look forward to a visit down under, from Pauline and Jeff in the future.
