Sept., 2014 - we had a wonderful & relaxing time at the best b&b we have ever stayed at. Gemma and Paul were great hosts and treated us like family. Breakfasts were marvelous. If we ever return to Calgary area we would definitely stay at Gemma's b&b again. A great time at a great home and b&b. Thanks Gemma and Paul.

We had a wedding this Sept. 2013. We had never stayed at a B&B so after checking out Hotel prices for a 6 day stay we took a look at B&B's as well. Alianna's B&B came up when we plugged in Calgary B&B's and after reading the reviews and looking at the virtual tour, we called Gemma and booked our stay. We where NOT disappointed. We felt welcome and right at home immediately. Her home is lovely and very clean. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and the bed was so comfortable. We don't sleep all that well in a hotel and there is something cozy about being in a home. We also had a sitting room or Great room that was just for the guests with comfortable couches, TV and a piano if you are so inclined!! There was slways coffee ready first thing in the morning which we took to the Great room to enjoy the sun streaming through the big picture window while Gemma was cooking up our breakfast. Breakfast - YUM! There was everything and anything you wanted. Gemma always asked the night before what we would like and she would whip it up. You could have a 'full' breakfast every morning if you wanted. Always there was fresh fruit on the table and available when ever you wanted. Each night water was there for your taking. We will recommend to our family and friends Alianna's and we also would stay here whenever in Calgary. Driving was never an issue we had no problem getting around. We rented a car at the airport-but keep in mind like any big city rush hour is rush hour. Oh-one other thing don't forget to pack your 'fly rod' the Bow River is a 5 minute walk and is magnificent. Thank you Gemma and Paul for your generous hospitality

Alianna,s is the best B&B I have ever stayed in. If you are visiting Calgary this is the place to stay!

Friendly, spotlessly clean, Amazing Breakfasts and perfectly located to visit all the sights and the stampede.

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Alianna's so we could go to the stampede. We were welcomed as if we were old friends, but by the time we left we practically were! The loveliest, friendliest most helpful people I have ever met, who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The Breakfasts were amazing! Spoilt for choice with her fantastic home cooking and fresh fruit. I have never liked pancakes until I tried hers! The best! Plus she goes out of her way to make sure you get exactly what you like. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean and the actual place itself is like a home from home. The location of the BB is perfect too. Some lovely nearby places within walking distance and if you want to go further afield then the bus and train stops are close by too. I cannot recommend this place enough. By the time I left I felt I had made 2 great new friends who I hope to have for life. I will definitely be going back!

This is a special thank you to you for your wonderful breakfasts, especially today. We were happy that Paul joined us this morning. Thanks again for having a very clean home and for your gracious hospitality. Warmest regards from Toronto. Syl and Jack P

Best B&B we've ever been.

We spent 5 nights during the Stampede in the house and it was awesome. The people are so friendly, they try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very roomy and clan, the bathroom as well. Breakfast is very good too. Gamma tries to fulfill every wish, so nothing is left. The house is in Queensland, that's in the southeast of Calgary, a very nice and quiet area but because it's a little bit outside it is advantageous to have a car. Of course going by bus is possible too but the Calgary transit system is not the best. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at Alianna's B&B and we recommend it to everybody. You will like it in any case!!

Our stay in Gemma and Paul's was over our expectations. As French people, we enjoyed so much the great conversations we had with Gemma during a great dinner. Not only she is a great cook and hostess, she is also a great local guide, giving all the tips you need to hang out around Calgary especially during this particular time that Stampede is.

No doubt that if we have the chance to come back to Calgary, we will book our stay in advance at Gemma's to enjoy, once again, her joyful welcoming, her awesome breakfasts...

It was our first trip to Canada and by staying with Gemma and Paul we had an absolutly perfect start of our holiday. In Gemma and Paul you have the perfect hosts. We enjoyed the lovely place as well as the great conversations very much. With this B&B you come as a guest and leave as a friend. Anytime we are back to Canada we would love to stay with you again. Thank you for the great time in Calgary.

In Gemma you have the perect hostess, her cooking is something to truly rave about. The accommodation was fantastic and the proximity to the Bow River makes it a must for those that like the great outdoors and especially the fishing.

Fabulous time had by all of us.

Gemma as main hostess was everything you would want. Paul as runner up, gave us a great laugh.

Hopefully coming back very soon, before we rent our house in Calgary.

Great people, great new friends. You're both welcome to dinner when we settle.

We had a great time in this lovely, terrific located B&B-Home. The ownsers Gemma and Paul did everything, that made us feel welcome and comfortable. Besides of the full breakfast we also got a delicious dinner, and after such quiet nights... we have never had before. We would definitely return, should we come a second time to Calgary. (July 08)

After getting a warm and friendly welcome, i realy enjoyed every minute by Paul and Gemma. Two guys who are open minded, pretty funny and very friendly. Gemmas breakfast and dinner made my day more livable as it even was in that wonderful neighborhood. The quite and pretty area made me even be in doubt that i am still in such a big city.

I warmly recommend this B&B, and i hope that my ways are some day croosing Gemmas and Pauls House again! Nicolas (June 08)

- Nicolas, from Germany 23 August 2008

Gemma and Paul are friendly and very accommodating. A lovely, generous breakfast and even dinner if we were around. Fresh and clean, and quiet home in a pretty neighbourhood - and close by a provincial park. Helpful information and directions to local attractions. We would definitely return, and recommend it to friends.
