dot Millhollow Bed and Breakfast
I stayed with a friend for two nights in August. Our room with 2 twin beds overlooked the backyard and pool (which is available for use by guests). The beds were very comfortable and the linens lovely. Millhollow is elegant and charming and Paula and Milan obviously take great pride in maintaining it and the grounds. Our bathroom was across the hall but not used by any other guests. Shampoo, body wash and hair dryer are supplied. We enjoyed a very filling and tasty breakfast each morning with great coffee. Milan accommodated our Spyder motorcycles in the garage, which was very nice. The second day of our stay was quite rainy and we were prepared to have a light supper of grapes, cheese and crackers in the B & B. We did not have to do this however, because Milan drove us downtown and picked us up after our dinner. We were both very touched by this kind offer. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.

We loved our stay with Milan and Paula at Millhollow Bed and Breakfast. They are lovely people who are competent and diligent in their operation, doing the small things that make the difference between average and excellent.

Breakfast was wonderful, from Paula's home-baked gluten-free muffins to the delicious fruit salad.

I highly recommend Millhollow.

We just stayed at this magnificant bed and breakfast last weekend. The room was perfect, the whole house was spotless. Every detail is thought of, from the nightly tea, fresh filtered water pitcher in our room, little chocolate on the bedside, everything was great! The breakfast was amazing. Very tasty organic whole foods. The french toasts and pancakes were original and delicious.

We absolutely loved Millhollow. Your hospitality was fantastic. Our room was beautiful and exactly to our taste. The breakfasts were lovely in a very relaxing atmosphere. Loved your pool and garden. We were so sad to leave but no doubt we'll be back soon. Best wishes to you both.

Thank you for your warm and friendly hospitality when we stayed at your beautiful home on Sep. 25 and 26, 2009. This was the first time that we had ever experienced having a menu for breakfast. And the only word that comes to mind to describe your hospitality is GRACIOUS. It was certainly that, and then some.

One of the great joys in life is meeting great people. This is why we enjoy visited B&B's when we travel. A certain quality exudes from your home, prepared as it is, with such love and care. Peace and tranquility reign, and so it was with some sadness when we left. However, as they say, we know where you live, and look forward to our next visit. What a joy it was to find such a gem in Meaford.

Four of us stayed here for two nights over the weekend of July 25th/26th 2009. Milan and Paula are excellent hosts and we were made to feel very welcome.

There are various choices for breakfast all of which are very good.

The rooms are all finished to a high standard. We couldn't have been more comfortable. The area is quiet so a good night's sleep is guaranteed.

If you are in the area and looking for a B&B, I can thoroughly recommend Millhollow.

My husband and I travelled from Toronto to Meaford this past weekend (June 26 & 27) and booked a 2-night stay at the Millhollow B&B. The hostess, Paula, extended a warm welcome and showed her beautiful home--tastefully decorated and exuding a peaceful calm.

Millhollow has a designated living room space for guests with a beautiful fireplace and sitting area complete with TV/DVD and radio--wooden dividing doors can be closed to separate it from the dining room, where breakfast is served. This room is rich in its textures and beautiful wood table and chairs, nicely set each morning for breakfast. During the day or evening, guests also have the added option to prepare their own tea from a boxed selection (regular and herbal) in a buffet drawer and can help themselves to biscuits. Although we didn't have a chance to lounge around the backyard pool and gardens, they were very well kept and no doubt relaxing.

We stayed in the "Harmony Room" which overlooks a river, and was well appointed with its adjoining bathroom, high ceilings and quiet "sitting area," hidden within the home's turret. The bed was extremely comfortable and the linens were lovely. I always appreciate the "little details," and was pleased with both the bedside chocolates and the pitcher of water with glasses on the bureau. Breakfast was served each morning by Paula and her husband Milan, both of whom are warm, pleasant and accomodating. They greeted us in their "Millhollow" aprons and provided so many options (yogurt, cereal, fresh fruit, bread & jams, banana bread & muffins) to accompany our main breakfast. We enjoyed the french toast and red pepper fritatta our first morning and eggs with sausages the next. The presentation was lovely, and the food was great; service was timely and friendly but not intrusive. Paula and Milan were quite helpful in recommending things to do and places to see in the area.

Many thanks, Paula and Milan--we would gladly recommend Millhollow to friends and strangers alike.

I stayed at Millhollow for 10 days while visiting family and doing business in the area. Paula's gentle and genuinely friendly hospitality really made my stay very special.Millhollow is a beautiful historic home with a particularily restful and romantic atmosphere. The breakfasts were superb, the surroundings peaceful and the bed very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the many delights of Meaford and surrounding areas- go soon you won't be disappointed! June 2009

We have found Millhollow to be an excellent B&B and look forward to staying there when we're in Meaford. The hosts, Paula and Milan, are friendly, knowledgeable about the area and provide top notch service. The inn is an handsome, recently restored grand home that looks over a river. The bedrooms are a wonderful place to relax - beautifully decorated and each room has its own thermostat. Millhollow is within walking distance to the Meaford townhall/opera house, scenic harbour and just around the corner from 100 Mile House - an excellent local goods store. Meaford is close to bike trails in the summer or to ski slopes in the winter. The breakfasts are excellent and laid-back, with home made jam. We're always happy to stay with Paula and Milan!

I just returned to Toronto from spending a wonderful night at Millhollow. The house is lovingly restored, peaceful and comfortable, Milan and Paula, the hosts, are charming and very thoughtful, with great attention to detail. The welcome was warm, the bedroom beautifully appointed and the breakfast was delicious. I can highly recommend this B&B.

Paula, thanks for being such a wonderful host and for providing such great accommodations. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed with the home, the location and your friendly manner. It was the perfect place to stay as we explored the Meaford area. Starting each day with a hearty breakfast, then ending it with a dip in the pool and relaxing in your tranquil garden added a lot to our getaway! Thanks again and we hope to see you soon!

Dear Paula & Milan, Thank you for your hospitality in your elegant and beautifully restored home. Itâ_Ts more of a small castle than a B&B house. Being there one has a tranquil feeling that I have not encountered in other B&Bâ_Ts. And your garden and tasteful furnishings magnify that quiescence. Thank you Paula for the wonderful breakfast that has no competition anywhere else. Your taste and preparation is impeccable. I have to return and stay longer for it is a retreat from everyday hustle and bustle of Toronto.

- Steve, 30 July 2008

July28/2008 Thank you Paula and Milan for our wonderful stay at Millhollow. Your beautiful restored home and charming hospitality will guarantee our return visit in the future. Anne and Gerald from Toronto / Orono , Ontario

- Gerald Kendall, from Orono ,Ontario ,Canada 28 July 2008

Dear Milan and Paula, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Millhollow. Everything was great, but, as I told Milan, the best part was the hospitality and gracious manner of Paula "the host of Millhollow". Also, thanks for naming the "Harmony" room after me.

- Harm and Joan, from Bradford, Canada 18 June 2008

Thank you Paula and Milan for all of your warm hospitality during our stay at Mill Hollow. The grounds were lovely and so serene and peaceful. The breakfast was delicious! It is evident that you love what you do because you do it so well. Thank you for making our stay memorable. We will be sure to return very soon.
