French toast or Oatmeal pancakes can be served with breakfast sausages.
4 servings 4 eggs 1/2 c milk 1/4 c brown sugar 2 tbs orange juice pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon 6 thick slices of raisin or whole wheat bread
Instructions - combine egs, milk, sugar, juice and spices - place bread in mixture for 5 min or overnight - cook on a hot grill on both sides until golden brown. - drizzle with warmed syrup or sprinkle idcing sugar on top and serve with fresh fruit.
Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes
4 servings 2 c oats 2 1/2 c buttermilk 2 eggs 1/4 cup melted butter 1/2 c whole wheat or white flour 2 tbs sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions - combine the oats and buttermilk. Let stand for 1/2 hour or overnight. - add eggs and butter, mix well. - add the rest of the ingredients, let rise for ten minutes. - cook on medium hot grill. Use a 1/4 measuring cup.
