We spent the July 1st weekend at this exceptional B&B. Jim was there to greet us upon our arrival on Friday evening, even offering us a glass of wine. Very clean and spacious room. It has a beautifully landscaped backyard, and we were able to enjoy breakfast on the patio. Jim is very accommodating, and made sure we had everything to make the weekend stay enjoyable. "We'll be back!"

Owing to a stint of work at the Arnprior Hospital, I recently had occasion to spend 6 weeks living with Jim Wright, the spry 83-years-young proprietor of the Daniel House B&B.

As stated in other testimonials, Jim is a gracious, personable and witty host. The house itself was spotless, my room spacious, and the kitchen facilities fantastic. The property is but one block from the heritage core of Arnprior, and with its location goes excellent access to a number of cozy restaurants and village strolls.

For my purposes, which were for a quiet, secure, comfortable space during my off-hours, these premises fit the bill perfectly. Strong recommend.

And if you're willing to try your luck in a game of crib, Jim is more than happy to entertain.

We were at the Daniel House on November 26 to the 28th it was very comfortable and clean, the sheets were soft and also the towels. Everything we needed was there and even a good restaurant bistro not far away by foot.

Daniel House has a fabulous location and provides a very comfortable stay but most of all Jim is a gracious host with great sense of humour. Thanks Jim for making my stay memorable.

Recently stayed for 2 nights in this fabulous Inn. Remarkable building with Ottawa Valley character that is complimented with an attentive proprietor who in conversation challenges you with local and national interests.

I consider myself fortunate to have stayed at Daniel House. The owner Jim is a charming, friendly and gracious host who immediately made me feel at home. The B&B is beautifully appointed with Jim's antiques (he also owns an antique store in town), has a beautiful garden, is impeccably clean and neat, and the room was more comfortable than most of the 5 star hotels I have stayed in. I recommend it emphatically.

I enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Daniel House. Jim is a very gracious host and I immediately felt right at home. The house is spotless and I had a very restful night. Highly recommended!

Thanks to Jim for making our stay in Arnprior very memorable. Our family stayed in all three rooms upstairs. Jim gave us use of the kitchen, dining and living room areas for family functions. Jim's hospitality was outstanding. There are many good restaurants close by that serve home cooked meals. A pretty Ottawa Valley town steeped in history.

We stayed for 7 days in January while visiting family. This was an excellent B&B with good, comfortable facilities and a welcoming host who made us feel like family. We would readily recommend it.

My friends and I booked every room for the weekend of August 23rd, 2008. We are all Highland Dancers and were competing at the North Lanark Highland Games (Almonte, ON) & the Caitlin Stewart Highland Dance Competition (Arnprior).

We had such a fun time in such a beautiful place to stay. We are already planning our stay for 2009 in conjunction with both of the events above.

Friendly staff, clean & spacious accommodations! Highly recommend!

- Catherine Clarke, from Kingston, ON 18 May 2009

Along with offering superb, clean accommodations, Jim is a host-with-the-most. The welcome mat is always out, the breakfasts are tasty and filling and location is central to almost anything. We'll be back and certainly will recommend it to friends and family. Thanks, Jim! (Sept. 2008)

Jim Wright has done an amazing job renovating this b&b. We were there with my 9 yr-old son at the beginning of July. We stayed in the 1 bedrm suite which was spacious and had a lovely ensuite. Jim is the most gracious of hosts, offering wine, snacks & conversation in the evenings. Breakfast was absolutely delicious & plentiful. We would recommend this gem to anyone visiting the Ottawa area.
