FALL FOLLIES
Dragon Boat drumbeats
herald the Fall
When leaves begin to turn.
It's time to listen to nature's call
And follow that silent yearn.
On water blue, in
kayak or canoe
A gentle paddle take
Then end the day with a repast for two
Beside our beautiful lake.
Bask in the sun midst
colours galore
That come with the season of Fall,
Go back in time to days of yore
And leave behind the mall!
Fall fairs or horse
races, art studio tours
Are yours to enjoy any time.
But keep this in mind in case it pours:
Our emporiums are sublime.
Antique stores and
galleries
Will showcase many treasures
And help to build some memories
To add to your life's pleasures.
If apple picking's
not your taste
But eating is a "high",
Just drive on through the Apple Fest
To Ravenna's apple pie.
On your way home,
do slow the pace
At any pumpkin patch.
You want your Jack O' Lantern face
Impossible to match!
The nights are cool,
the air is clean,
The skies are clear and grand.
You know exactly where you've been -
Yes, Georgian Triangle land!
