The Farmhouse Inn is a delightful getaway spot on Nova Scotia’s Evangeline Trail in the historic Annapolis Valley, just minutes from Wolfville and Kentville. The renovated farmhouse (c1860), conveniently located on Main Street in the lovely village of Canning, has been in successful operation for 22 years. The Farmhouse Inn is central to the best attractions in the area including; the famous Cape Split hiking trail, the Look Off, Blomidon Provincial Park, Kingsport Beach, Halls Harbour Lobster pound, the world’s highest tides in the Bay of Fundy, wineries, professional theatre, Ross Creek Centre for the Arts, and Sheffield Mills’ Eagle Watch.

This well established Inn sits on three-quarters of an acre with mature trees and perennial gardens. The Farmhouse Inn features six guest suites, all with ensuite washrooms, phone, expanded cable TV/VCR, wireless internet and A/C. Four guest suites are located in the main house (one is located on the main floor) and two guest suites are located in the Carriage House (adjacent to the main house), both with their private entrance. Four of the guest suites feature propane fireplaces and two of these also feature two-person Jacuzzi tubs.

The Farmhouse Inn welcomes its guests with a charming front porch, complete with porch swing. The main house has a cozy parlour with antique wood burning fireplace, a country-elegant dining room with original wide pine plank floors & pressed tin ceiling. The large kitchen boasts a convenient island, plenty of cupboard and counter space, two stoves, fridge, and dishwasher. The laundry room with a new large front loading washer and dryer is conveniently located off the kitchen. The owners-quarters are accessible through the kitchen or through its private entrance, and consists of two levels and one and a half bathrooms. The paved parking lot accommodates five cars, and an additional paved driveway can accommodate up to three cars.
