This
photograph, more than any other on our website, is the one that attracts
guests to our Bed & Breakfast. They can see themselves sitting
on these chairs enjoying the sound of the waves, the feel of the warm
sun, and the smell of the Lake freshened air. The Lake Huron shoreline
is mainly smooth flat rock created by an ancient coral sea. The warm
waters are excellent for all kinds of water sports. Terraced gardens,
coniferous trees and a quiet pond provide a colorful habitat for the
many varieties of butterflies and song birds. The southwest exposure
and temperate climate provide an excellent opportunity for our extensive
perennial beds to thrive and flourish. |

Our
spacious (3,000 sq. ft.) two storey home with R2000 equivalent insulation,
high efficiency propane furnace, heat recovery unit and extensive
water treatment system, although not originally built as a bed &
breakfast, has adapted well. The well-treed property with 100 feet
on the lake and approx. 290 feet deep, is located on a year round
road. The parking areas accommodate 6 vehicles. A garden shed, water
system from the lake, drilled well, septic systm and satellite television
are some of the facilities on the property. |

The open-concept
living area, overlooking the lake on the upper level, features vaulted
ceiling, large windows, red pine floors and ceramic tile in the
kitchen. A spacious master suite, also facing the lake, includes
a 3 pc. ensuite bath and two large closets. On the lake level, a
large common room with gas parlor stove and TV offer our guests
a quiet comfortable place to relax.
Many guests,
however, choose to spend their time out-of-doors. The two levels
of covered porches provide a variety of choices for our guests enjoyment.

This
is an exceptional property, and a thriving business at a very reasonable
investment. Its location on the Bruce Peninsula offers the traveler
an opportunity to visit two National Parks, experience hiking, kayaking,
scuba diving, sailing, fine dining, great shopping, and the beautiful
natural scenery of the Niagara Escarpment overlooking the clear, deep
blue waters of Georgian Bay. Unlike the Muskokas, this area has remained
uncrowded and peaceful, with quaint villages and secluded beaches.
It provides a quiet, relaxed life style for all who visit and for
those of us lucky enough to live here. |
