William Henry Barrett aptly chose the American Colonial Revival for Clonmel Estate. Like the period revivals of European origin the Colonial Revival style took an eclectic mix of colonial features and proportions, and used modern materials and building standards to express a style that had been popular since Norfolk County was first settled.

Music Room; The plaster wall cornice with a floral and geometric design is repeated within the livingroom. Here a richly decorated wooden screening shields the pipes of the "Casavant Freres" organ located in the opposite far corner. (Mrs. Barrett was the organist at the Anglican Church) The elegant fireplace features smooth marble and a mantle that matches the frieze of the door frames.

On the second floor there are seven bedrooms and four bathrooms. The master bedroom had two big walk-¬in closets. The two maids rooms in the east hall were over the kitchen and can be reached by a back staircase
