Webmercials - Everything you need to know.

Q: What is a Webmercial
A: A Webmercial is defined as a Website Commercial. A Webmercial is an online video commercial that promotes a service or product.
Q: What does it cost and what is included?
A:The Webmercials are $499 plus tax and, if required, a one night free stay for the videographer. The Webmercial includes; Script, Video Recording, Editing, Professional Voiceovers, Copyright Free Music, and a DVD Copy if requested. Each Webmercial is uploaded to your BBCanada.com page and several video websites; YouTube, Dailymotion and Metacafe. Please note that there is a yearly renewal fee of $15 plus tax.
Q: Why is there a yearly renewal fee?
A: The nominal renewal fee of $15.00 will allow you to maintain the lovely icon that is embedded into your BBCanada subscriber page that indicates that you have a video. Thanks to this embedding your property will be pulled up in the Expert Searches, city and provincial lists. All adding great value to your listing.

Q: How long will my Webmercial be?
A: The Webmercial is 60 seconds.
Q: Can the 60 seconds be broken up into smaller segments?
A: Due to the extra editing and publishing involved we cannot break up the 60 seconds into smaller segments.
Q: Do we get a discount if we create more than one Webmercial?
A: No. If you want additional Webmercials you will be charged the original rate. For example, for your first Webmercial you may want to showcase your summer features but if you want another Webmercial to focus on another season like fall or winter, that is another Webmercial expense.
Q: How far in advance should I be contacting you to book?
A: We have a 30 day in advance booking policy as we require time to coordinate the videographer, preparation of the script and coordinate travel arrangements where needed.
Q: How can I make my Webmercial multiseasonal?
A: You can showcase different seasons of your Bed and Breakfast by providing us with still photographs.
Q: Do I get to see my Webmercial before it airs?
A: A finished copy of the Webmercial will be made available to you to view before it goes onto the website. We can only change spelling errors and scenes that do not represent your B&B. You will have 48 hours to inform us of any changes.
Q: Can we be a part of our Webmercial?
A: We encourage the owners to be a part of the Webmercial. People like to see the owners as well as the establishment. It is not a requirement.
Q: Will we have to say anything on camera?
A: It is up to you the B&B owner. We can provide a voiceover with a script or you can talk about your business yourself to add a more personal touch.
Q: Who writes the script?
A: A basic script will be drawn up from information on your websites and from the questionnaire you will be filling out. You will be emailed the script for approval which you may edit. The script will be timed for 60 seconds, so if you add details you also have to take details out.
Q: What about other people in the Webmercial like guests?
A: Everyone appearing in the Webmercial will have to sign a release form. We do not provide actors but we encourage you to find people to act as guests.
Q: Can we provide our own music for the Webmercial?
