What does the 'Breakfast Service' descriptions mean?

Breakfasts at B&Bs vary widely. Here are general descriptions. For specific information be sure to contact you B&B hosts in advance of your stay.

Full Breakfast:

This is the 'traditional meal'. It is served, and may include fruits, juices, hot and cold cereal, an entree, breads, and teas or coffees.

Continental Breakfast:

This is usually served as well. It usually includes fruits and/or juices, bread and/or buns, and teas or coffees. Sometimes it also includes cold cereal, cheeses, and cold cuts.

Buffet:

This is self-serve. The client chooses from a side table. Both hot and cold foods are often included, but not always.

Self-Catered:

The clients prepare their own breakfast from the foods provided by the hosts. May be hot, cold or a combination. If this is not possible, another option would be to provide a breakfast voucher for a local restaurant.

Vegetarian/Vegan:

Breakfast that is served without meat but with eggs and dairy products (vegetarian) or, breakfast that contains no animal products (vegan). Be sure to be specific about your particular dietary desires when making reservations.

Gluten Free: Breakfast that is gluten free mean there is no wheat in the breakfast.

Organic Food: Breakfast containing only organically grown foods.
