My husband and I wanted to get away last minute and found Peter and Marcia B&B on the internet. I phoned right away as there were not many places to choose from. Marcia called back that evening and I booked it first thing in the morning. I know when speaking to Marcia on the phone it was the place for us, you just had the feeling that you had known them all your life. Marcia directions were spot on and a care free drive from southern On. Peter on our arrival was right outside to help with our bags. They have a black Lab Ravine that was just lovely and very well believed. Marcia was everything I had thought she would be. It was like staying with family but even better. Peter and my husband are hunters and had lots to talk about. We had just lost a friend who was like a daughter to us at 27 and I needed this weekend away and Marcia was a get listener and had made we see things in a different light and thank you for that. This was our first time and will not by any means be our last. We have stayed in many B&B from Niagara on the Lake to Peele Island to Princess Edward County even one in York in the UK. Peter and Marcia have what it take to be great at what they do and cheers to you.

there are few words that coould describe how wonderful our time at Heathcote Haven B&B was. Marcia and Peter made us feel so welcomed that after just a day we felt like family. our stay was complementary in recognition of Remembrance Day which shows the commitment of this lovely couple to their military and community. It is a B&B bussiness run with love and passion to serve. there is no doubt that we will be back soon; the area is a tresure to discover. thank you Marcia and Peter!

We have have stayed in many B&B's on our travels, but this is one of the best! Marcia made us so welcome, great location, great facilities, great hosts, what more can you say?!

- Neil and Jen Spencer, from Whitchurch, Shropshire, UK 4 October 2012

We stayed at this superb B&B for a weekend hike in the area.

The B&B is spotless clean and has excellent views! Our room felt extremely comfortable. Marcia is extremely helpful and friendly woman. She prepared a generous gluten-free breakfast for us based on our request. She even provided us with the hiking maps we didn't have. Take her advice of local restaurants, and you cannot go wrong!

Between July 12 & July 15 we had the pleasure of being the guests of Marcia, Peter, Raven, Diamond & his friends. We are impressed with the friendliness, good service, superb breakfasts and excellent accommodations. We hope to be back again next year and highly recommend Heathcote Haven as a first class B&B.

We have just returned from a delightful stay at this wonderful B & B! Marcia & Peter [Raven too] made us feel very welcome, we soon felt at home. The beautifully decorated suite, well equipped with everything we might need, was perfect & had its own sitting room. There are fabulous views from all the widows of the surrounding countryside and the breakfasts were delicious, plus extra treats for snacking on during the day. The location is perfect for visiting the area with ample supply of good restaurants. We definitely will visit again soon.

We really enjoyed this b&b...the views are outstanding and the grounds and century home are really a "haven". The hosts - Peter and Marsha are just the right combination of informative, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Great destination for cycling.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at Heathcote Haven over the march break with another couple. We all had a wonderful time. The area is beautiful and the house is very warm and inviting. Our hosts Marcia and Peter were fantastic, but I have to say the best part of our stay was te deluxe breakfasts!

It was a wonderful experience to stay at the Heathcote Haven Bed & Breakfast. From the moment my husband and I came into the beautiful house we knew we'll enjoy our time there. Peter and Marcia are absolutely wonderful and they give you all the privacy you need. The room we stayed in was on the second floor and it was absolutely spectacular. The attention to details is astounding, from the tidiness of the room, to the small candles at the right places, to the magazine selection, to the home-made bath salts, to the boutique hand soap and body lotion, and I can go on and on. We stayed at hotels both in Canada and abroad and none of the hotels provided so many details and elements to make our stay so pleasurable. The breakfast was delicious and everything was very fresh. Marcia baked a homemade banana-bread which was yummy! We even took some with us :) The best part was we weren't rushed to leave in the morning, something too common with hotels and inns. The Heathcote Heaven is a place each should stay in! Call them - 519-599-5303

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Heathcote Haven B&B in the summer of 2011. It was exactly the respite we needed from our 3 children and busy lives. Marcia and Peter were very kind and welcoming and the house is beautiful, with every detail thought of. We are looking forward to our next visit, and are planning to treat the kids to this wonderful experience! We definitely recommend this B&B to everyone!

- Robyn and Norm, from Whitby, ON 7 March 2012

We had a very peaceful and relaxing stay at Heathcote Haven B&B. The house is beautiful and met our every need.

This is such a lovely place to get away and relax. Marcia's warm welcome made us feel at home and her homemade cooking was absolutely fabulous! Her sweet dog, Raven was so friendly and well-behaved; you will want to take her home at the end of your stay! =) We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine as we settled back in the common room for evening chats. Thank you!

Heathcote Haven is a beautiful old house. The Valleyview Suite was spacious and the bed comfortable.

Marcia got us booked (at the last minute and after 8pm) at the very last table in a very popular and high quality restaurant in Thornbury. This meal was a great end to our day at the spa.

Thanks Marcia and Peter for a pleasant stay.

I can't imagine how to improve on this visit. We both agreed it was the best B&B we have ever stayed in. An incredible home, every detail beautifully thought through. The suite was spacious and lovely. The view out of each window is of the rolling peaceful countryside. The breakfast was delicious. Our host and hostess were wonderful, and were able to direct us to many wonderful local attractions. Highly recommended. We will visit again.

Our family enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing weekend at Heathcote Haven this past Thanksgiving. From the moment we arrived, Marcia and Peter (and Raven!) extended their warm and gracious hospitality, making us feel like family. The suites are stunning and spacious with an incredible blend of country charm and modern amenities. The breakfasts each morning were delectable! From the variety of fresh fruit to the scones Marcia lovingly made by hand that morning, you couldn't wish for more! The view from every window was like a postcard. We are counting down the days until we return to our own little piece of heaven.

- Ann, Howard and Natasha, from Oakville, Ontario 7 November 2011

My daughter and I spent a lovely Thanksgiving stay at Heathcote Haven. It was a suprise for my daughter, whom really felt as though she was in heaven. A young girl who loves horses , surrounded by the valley where she learned to ride and a glimpse of her beloved animals through every window vista. Every part of our stay was more than one could hope for. The house, the furnishings, the kind and welcoming hosts. Heathcote Haven is 5 star in every way. We almost want to keep it our secret......but great things are meant to be shared with others. We will be back!!

- fi and dani, from mississauga 19 October 2011

Almond Marsipan bread for a breakfast precursor WOW!! Wonderful country view and fresh air, enjoyed the multiple horizons and early morning mist from our VALLEY VIEW SUITE window. Local orchards and treats from the terroir. Impecable B&B! Great hosts, a truly needed escape from reality. Would highly recommend a stay.

I am having wine and cherry pie withdrawals!

My husband and I had an amazing time at this B&B. The room was spacious, the bathroom super clean and the breakfast was mouth watering. The service could have stopped there and I would have given it 5 stars.

But perhaps the best part of the stay was visiting with the lovely and personable hosts and being treated to cherry pie and wine out on the deck while watching the stars.

We will be back!

Where do I start? My husband and I have been frequenting b&b's for a number of years now as we both prefer the homelike and relaxed atmosphere as well as the sumptuous breakfasts that a b&b offers. We are both very particular in where we stay and we have to say that The Heathcote Haven is one of the best b&b's we have stayed at. Marcia and Peter are freindly and gracious hosts and make every effort to make your stay memorable. Unfortunately we were only able to stay two nights. A full week or longer would have given us more time to experience all the wonderful things that the Beaver Valley and area has to offer as well as to enjoy more of Marcia and Peter's hospitality. My husband and I will certainly be returning to this "little piece of heavan".

- Rita & Rick Merklinger, from Tillsonburg, Ontario 21 August 2011

My husband and I just returned from a weekend at the heathcote haven b&b I can not say enough great things about it. It is a beautiful house on a beautiful property and it is kept immaculate Marcia and Peter are one of the nicest couples I have ever met they made us feel so welcome right away I WILL recommend this B&B to ALL of my friends & family and hope to return myself in the future

- Denise, from Newmarket ontario, canada 7 August 2011

I stayed with a friend at this wonderful new B&B two weekends ago for two nights. Marcia and Peter couldn't have been kinder. The accommodations were lovely, clean and extremely comfortable. Every small detail was looked after which I very much appreciated. The breakfasts were delicious, as were the afternoon baked treats! I would recommend Heathcote Haven wholeheartedly.

- Gill, from Toronto 2 March 2011

My friend and I had the great pleasure to be the very first guests at the lovely Heathcote Haven. We have been thrilled with our experience. Everything about the place and their owners is simply outstanding. The rooms are extremely cozy and beautifully furnished with their own gorgeous private baths. But the B&B would be just a beautifully decorated place if it wasn't for the warmth and kindness of their owners, Marcia and Peter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them again for a fantastic stay, great conversation and last but not least, an amazing breakfast with a great view. I recommend this true retreat to everyone looking for a perfect getaway. Marcia and Peter, thank you again for being so very welcoming and extremely helpful! I am sure your business will thrive. And I look forward to coming back! Best regards.
